Great! For your next Hong Kong trip I highly recommend to visit Macao for a day with the ferry. It seems underrated because it is mainly known for the casinos, but it is a very beautiful place with many beautiful colorful buildings, almost feels like walking through a Southern European city. Also the history museum in Hong Kong was interesting, from what I remember.
Definitely going to add a visit next time I’m headed to China!

Most we encountered in HK spoke English but everyone I met in mainland China spoke mandarin only
