ETH is a broken chain that requires a patch (layer 2) to even run somewhat efficiently. Bitcoin is a store of value. Plain and simple. It serves no other purpose than to be digital gold.
If speed matters why step into crypto at all? A truly decentralised network will never be that speed, it will eventually take time to sync with thousands of nodes.. These speed manic blockchain are with very few nodes and centralized to the core.
You cant talk about speed...and IGNORE blockchain size. If an average user cant afford to store it.....then its centralized by design. Censorship chain. Memory usage per transaction is also key. If you are sending no information....you can have high tps....but its useless for smartcontracts...which require memory AND processing.

Very good video. You made it clear Parallel processing sounds good but there's a difference between what is "claimed" versus was has not yet been achieved and only "promised. Plus you also discussed some of hurdles that will be required. Many influencers / educator would instead focus more on the promised goals and gloss over possible downsides. Others would also offer too much HOPIUM and FOMO. I am glad there are some more balanced onse still out there. A suggestion, in the future, you might want to put a question mark at the end of the title of a video of project still development because SEI claims of speed are only promised and have yet to be independently verified. I also saw that the SEI v2 testnet could be out and running Jan or Feb. Don't take this to the bank, but I'm pretty sure I saw and heard this. Not sure how to confirm though. Either way, great, the implications of SEI v2 are huge.

The parallel part looks like sharding is that right? Even with using a parallel/ sharding set up how can finality be so quick while going via multple nodes around the world? Im interested learning development for Hedera which id be interested in you thoughts on. It esentually only sends two hashes around the nodes with virtual voting and its finality is around that of Solana. But that could be because its ABFT which i understand is the highest level of secuirty and its leaderless making it resliant against DDoS attacks. Its also EVM compatable and TPS is throttled at 10k tps but is capable of 50k+. That said they'll impliment sharding before that and with sharding TPS is unlimited. Its also already done more transactions than all of the other networks combined. It also has fair ordering so no front running. Also to get real usuage of that high throughput means they'll have to be low cost, so power consumption/ running costs per transaction will play a role in how long a network can mainatin low prices.
Sei coin is interesting, and probably this run will be it's first up move that represents high risk for initial investors not privy to the any free drops or coinage given out below 15 cents. Anyone buying now is purchasing a speculative coin no matter how the outcome turns out. Usually more than 90% of the time by the turn down of the bull run of the cryptocurrency cycle, you will be able to get this coin at less than 20 cents on the dollar at what ever all time high it gets this overall bull run happens to turn down. What I'm saying is if the coin reaches only a dollar, then when the bear market appears, you'll be able to get this coin below 20 cents, and if the ATH of this coin goes to 3 bucks, then there's a good chance that the low will be at or below 60 cents. Is this logical? Yes, because if you look at BTC, the bear market low has often been more than an 80% drop from the all time high.

SEI transactions are very expensive, cannot compete solana by gas fee, high speed transactions worthless with expensive transaction fee
