It was so nice to see the spouts from the whales and the other boats. 🐳 Nice to see Peach is feeling more secure in the water 🐟 You sure do keep things Lovely on that property🪣🧽 A relaxing finish to this busy day for me Thanks for sharing….until next time 🍑🧡
I also enjoy cooler the weather!! Love that you are sharing all this beauty with us! 🙏💕🙏 Hopefully the weather improves for the vacationers to enjoy the water more. Sending love to you and peaches! 🤗
I agree :). I have to remind myself of that when she doesn't get to wander as much as she'd like. I think she's pretty happy here... she's with me 24x7 and I think dogs are happiest when they are with their people. Thanks for watching!
Your right about the heat on the coast, it's 21C and it feels so hot! Thanks for showing us around and showing us the Whales and the guitar music was cool!
Thanks so much for taking the time to showcase your daily adventures, Amanda! Hi to you and Peach from Newfoundland and Labrador, and always thinking of Buttercup!
Omgosh way ta go Peach!! She did awesome in the water. It’s so fun to watch them explore and build confidence. You’re doing amazing with her Amanda. She’s a lucky girl to have you. 💕
haha! she did! i was so pleased with her. she may not swim this summer, but i have a feeling she will eventually. i also think she won't ever want to get out of the water. she LOVES chasing sticks and going in the water :)
Looks like you enjoy the fantastic machinery for all the tasks you are assigned to. You seem to be very confident with them all. Would love your life, and do enjoy your stories living there. Peach is really a great dog to have around as a companion. Regards from South Africa.
hi susan, thank you so much for watching :)! Peach is pretty great - she loves being outside here. i always feel so bad for her when she has to come inside while i work :). thanks for watching!
Aw, poor Peach being put inside or on leash - like trying to contain a tempest in a teacup! Glad to see her getting her paws wet and expanding her comfort zone.
Enjoy your content so much, good to see both of you and you do work very hard, the owner is very lucky to have you as their caretaker for the property, it is beautiful ❤️
I love watching you Amanda, I only discovered you a few weeks ago. You are living my husband's dream - LOL. You are such a lovely soul and you are so blessed to be able to live where you live and I can see you take such pride in the property. You and Peach are so cute to watch. The deer and the whales were lovely too.
oh thanks so much! i am 'sorta' living my dream. long ago i asked the Universe to manifest living off-grid up north and this is what i got - haha! i'll take it, but i'd love a small place of my own. thanks for watching!
Those whales go on all day like that. I like it when guests are here as they are so thrilled to sit on the deck and watch them :). Reminds me not to take the fact that I get to see them every day for granted!! Stay warm!
We could use some of that cool weather. High 90°f + some days 102°f. Not complaining though there are people in worse shape than us. I love your videos and look forward to seeing what you and Peach are doing. Wishing you all the best.
Woah!!! that's hot. The hottest weather I've ever been in was Pheonix (on my way to Mexico) and it was about 109-ish and I couldn't stand it :). I wish I could send you a bit of our cool weather!
I’m headed to port Townsend Saturday I’ll wave your way. 😉❤️. I loved the speed cleaning. I need to clean my craft room so I think I’ll speed it up like that. lol 😂❤
@@AmandaOffGrid I hate doing dusting and now it’s falling down on me with cobwebs, spiders and everything yuck I hate that worse I think but if I could speed up the dusting and getting my house all clean, that would be nice. I like your idea❤️
Hi Amanda nice to see you and Peach, We in Ontario have a 29 c ,feels like 33 all summer so far. Always awesome to see the deer especially the fawns very cool what the one did to protect the others. One thing about your weather .. no bugs . awesome to see the whale footage , bet its better in person. You certainly have one awesome job being able to live and look after this beautiful place , thanks again love the content .
Hi Sue... that's true. There aren't very many bugs around here. I saw my first mosquito yesterday. There are a lot of bees though feeding off all of the buttercups that are popping up everywhere. We haven't had many bears so there are tons of buttercups and dandelions everywhere! Yes, the whales are always better in person for sure!
Hello Amanda and Peaches, another very nice video from you once again. You should get one or two game cameras and set them up to take pictures of whales, that way you wouldn't miss any and maybe some bears as well. Always working, I think it's time you do a cooking video for us either on the stove or over an outdoor fire. Whatcha think?
That's a good idea. They'd have to be pretty good cameras. I always have to zoom in a lot to get any kind of shot. A cooking video? Hmmm... I'll think of something. We have a fire ban here so no outdoor fires - maybe in the winter :)
Hello Amanda, happy to see you and Peach again, missed seeing you last week. I know you were busy with guests but you’re like family to me. I worry when I don’t see you. Please take care and I’ll be excited to see you next week.❤️
Good to be back! Yah when there are guests here it's difficult to film and tbh it's a bit too much work on top of my freelance stuff and duties here :).
Peach doesn't trust people. Strangers cannot approach her. It takes about a week for her to trust someone enough to let them even touch her and that's if they behave in a very specific way (ignoring her, pretending she doesn't exist, not making eye contact etc.) Trusting humans is one of the 'issues' she came with. We're working on it though :)
yes, some days there's a lot of work to do. i get asked that question a lot. i never get lonely. i love the solitude of working and living out here. i keep very busy - there's always something to do, but not once have i ever been lonely :).
Hi Amanda. I live on the Hood Canal in Washington State. We’ve had killer whales here for several weeks. Right now we are having a heat wave. Makes me miss the cold June weather! Love your videos. Mowing the lawn I have the same feeling about letting it go.😊
that's amazing!! the ladies that were here saw orcas last week, but i missed them. last year they arrived very late here so it's good that they're around. i love cooler weather. it's so much easier to work in and it's much more comfortable in general. Thanks for watching!
You caught the whales! I love that. …😊… I hope you realize, Peach is a real happy girl to have you as her owner. Even tho you have to restrict her from running into the forrest and other things, she’s really lucky to have that LOVELY property as her home, and more importantly, to have “You” 😉… Thanks for the lovely video. Stay safe Amanda.
From Ottawa- wow i miss BC lots- Love the scenery and your work Amanda, seeing the gas stove and sink looked so comfy - and your firepit- the benches were too modern for me ! simple stumps or boulders like the ones i placed around the pit i made at my mom's in the north. Terrific video :) I've just looked up where you are approx- you're above not too far from my dad's side of the family - i've yet to make it there to explore- Alert Bay that is.
The perfect weather for me is 65 degrees. I also love wind and rain. I think I need to move there, lol! Love Peaches. I have ten dogs. Two are rescues. Training is “ruff” around here. 😅
Beautiful vlog! Just a question. When you have guests does that mean they have places to stay and are you responsible for feeding them? I know that it takes a lot of work to have guests.
The guests generally stay in cabin 1 and noooo they feed themselves :). The cabin is fully equipped and however they get here they transport their own food with them.
It was good to see you this Sunday. The last couple of years many have noticed the deer being very friendly. This has been happening all over the country. There was even a couple of videos where a hunter was about to fire and the deer came right up to him to say hello. He went home. Very strange.
hi :). i know... part of me wishes they were more afraid of me. i don't want them to become used to humans... this is one of the only places on the island they can really feast so i don't want to scare them away. tough.
@AmandaOffGrid If you are not hand feeding them, which I know you're not, they should be okay. It seems they have worked out excellent exist strategies. 😀
Wow for not living all that far away from me here in Courtney it's hotter and crazy you gotta be in the house by 11:30 in the morning and at night it doesn't even get cool till around 11 or 12:00 o'clock at night I have to put curtain shears over my garden and it's still cooking to death It's 26 Celsius right now and the hottest part of the day is 3 PM and it's 1:30
Yes, I heard it was crazy hot down there. Yikes!! I couldn't handle it. The good thing about living on my boat is it stayed very cool in the summer so I rarely felt the big heat that everyone else was getting. Here my cabin is literally in the forest so it stays very very cool even when it's 20C+ outside!
psssseewwwww!!! Pssssewwww! I am being a whale bursting for breath. 🤣🤣🐳🐳🐳 Oh! I keep forgetting to ask you what kind of boots you are wearing? Thank you for sharing! Colorado Girl
That's a lot of whale's. I watch several sailors who have sailed around the world and between them I believe they have only seen about a dozen or so. One has only seen 1 after being around the world. Crazy

Excellent whale footage. A big thank you to you!!
Peach seems to be very well behaved when confined or on a leash. Speaks well to her obedience training.
Hi Don! Yes, she really is such a good girl. Her trainer was pretty awesome!
@@AmandaOffGrid Take a bit of the credit yourself. Peach could have easily regressed without your gentle reinforcement. It’s a team effort.
