Hi very cool video! Maybe a suggestion worth a test, I'm wondering if hiding mic inside the wool hat facing down would mitigate the noise from the jacket.
Hi Rob! Great video. Gorgeous setting. Overall, the Mic Mini quality is better - though initially i noticed some glitchy scratchy sounds coming from the Mic Mini audio. I’m curious about the Neo: how close can you get before the drone sound bleeds into your audio? Also, were you using the mic connected directly to the Neo, or via Bluetooth into your phone? I also agree that Mic Mini could use internal storage - or at least a Micro SD card slot. Thanks a bunch for the video!
Thank you 🙌 those might be interferences between the 2 mics sitting to close to each other (1 for neo and 1 for pocket 3) if you watch my initial review pf the mic mini you will not hear these when using the pocket 3 i.eg. Drone sound is completely eliminated no matter how close u get. Mic connects to the smartphone either via adapter or bluetooth
How did you connect the mini mic to the Neo/phone in such a way that you don't have to have the phone on to record? It would be nice to know the process to which you do this. I've seen videos on using the Mic 2 with the Neo but those show that the phone is still required to be on along with the Fly App Open in order to capture audio. Thanks!
How are you syncing up your mic mini to the Neo drone footage? Is it all through the app? Is it simple?? Like if you would turn around and we would see your mouth talking through the Neo footage, would it be completely in sync ???
It sounds really muffled. Doesn’t matter if it’s lightweight and small if it doesn’t sound good. I think it’s really poor audio. Also like your other video the sound is too hot and uncomfortable to listen to. Unlike the mic 2
Yes, rather horrendous as audio, I think with AirPods you get better. A real shame the absence of internal memory, it would have solved any quality problem.
I would agree on the internal, but you have the mic 2 which has that. So its a matter of preference. Audio is not horrendous, if so i would assume u have broken speakers
Thanks, nice video, the sound seems quite good for the price, and I don't need really excellent sound quality for the type of videos I am going to shoot, and as you say, you don't have to hold your phone.
Had a crazy thought: If one were to affix such a tiny mic to the drone (perhaps with a drinking-straw 'boom'), might one capture ambient sound from one's flight, while filtering out the whine of the drone itself? (Obvi the sound quality would not be fantastic)
@tfcabral Great minds think alike! This is what I would like to do. Do you think the drone would be able to hold the mic? I want to use it for checking flow on small stream tributaries in the woods. When I can't see the flowing water, I can often hear it. Drone would save me from having to crawl down in to the bottom of the steep draw.
@@Forestspartan7 Oh it could totally carry such a wee payload, and probably not at the cost of much flight time, especially if you remove the top prop guards.
@RobHK what brand gloves are those? They look super functional and warm

This is the video that i need, thanks for testing these mics with the dji neo 🙏🏻
🙌😎

It would for sure👌 it would be the same as mounting it to my cap i.eg. But with this it would just be uncomfortable 😬

Just connect it to Bluetooth on your phone and it will be active

Yes 👍 all through the app
Were you recording with the Neo’s noise reduction on? The heavy or one that allows more ambient noise? Sounds like it was on… it’s pretty aggressive.
Natural one👍

1 click treble boost for those that use a editing software and this is solved, but out of the box it sounds better than an iphone imo

Exactly 👍
Can you link the mic 2 and the mic mini at the same timentonthe pocket? 3. Thanks for sharing rob 😁👌👍 🇬🇧
Yes, it's possible! Other RUclipsrs have already tested it!

No problem 😎
