The Primitive Technology videos are actually meticulously narrated. You just need to turn on the captions to see it. I find it really augments the experience, but I'm glad he gives people the option to just watch his process.
As a linguist what Lewis said about language taking the least effort way is true. If there is a much more efficient way to communicate brain and the society will accept that so that the people can do more works with less effort.

I've always suffered with travel sickness, numerous times just barely got out of a car in time to puke at the side of the road or wherever. Some tips from my experience: if you bring a sick bag MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T HAVE HOLES IN IT (@my dad), I find staying cold is helpful (air con or w/e), sitting in the front is usually a better idea as you can look at the horizon line more. But also I started seeing a physio this year and (in my case at least) it might be related to head instability, so since then I've been reclining the seat more with a pillow to cushion my head from bouncing and I've been doing a lot better on journeys, even able to look at my phone a bit without immediately getting messed up. Just some ideas for those who (have family who) suffer.
Give your daughter a boiled sweet to suck on (therefore maybe make it quite a large one) to help reduce the car sickness: it changes the pressure in the ears, and it interferes with the sense of balance a little. Also, what helped for me, was sitting at the window and watching things go by. Supposed to be worse, but maybe tracking the stuff going past rather than just staring out the window (staring out the window instead of looking at the scenery) helps you reset your balance by your head and eyes moving to track the stuff going past.
I personally play EU4 and Minecraft all the time, but only in single player. I like doing the same thing over and over, but with a different environment/events every time. I think that's a factor for hardcore gamers, some of them at least.
Could someone compile all of sips's most disgusting stories? Anyone remember his story of a man who went inside a building and took a dump right on the floor and it had streaks of blood in it?
The game I always come back to is ArmA 3. Got 1654 hours on it. I keep coming back to it because of it's amazing 3D editor where I can make any mission I want. But I suppose its not a game for everyone. I've been playing since the first ArmA game.
I can understand how people rack up 1000s of hours on games like rust gmod and Minecraft. They're really good games that you can get large groups together on. I racked up about 2000 hrs on halo reach on the Xbox 360. It was just a really fun game that we could get large groups together on. It was amazing when you got 16 people in a custom games with a good host. I only really stopped playing it because I got a PC and there was more good games to play.
I like how Sips and Pyrion are making fun of saying twitch stuff out loud, meanwhile Lewis knows all of them, and Barry LITERALLY says these things out loud.
That game is minecraft for me. I've been playing since like 2010 and I must have at least 10K hours in it. You can do so much stuff in it, and since they're constantly adding stuff to it I always have new stuff to build - and don't get me started with mods.
My friend loves competitive multiplayer games and when he finds one he really enjoys it becomes the main thing he’ll play for the next few months. I remember he bought overwatch and then every time I turn my PS4 on and check my friends list he’s just on overwatch. At some point he didn’t invite me because he thought I was trash at the game and I would mess up his rank. With me I cant enjoy competitive multiplayer games it’s just too much effort and dedication and I can’t stick to playing 1 game for hours on end eventually I just want to play something else. Also I’m more into single players and open world games

Borderlands 3 has plenty of innovation. Weapon sounds were redone and actually sound like they have some substance to them. Movement has been redone, you can slide and vault around. Weapons have multiple effects, radiation element is new, etc. It is “more borderlands”, its a modern borderlands because thats what borderlands fans have wanted for 7 years.
