Im a yemeni sunni muslim. There is no sectarian war in yemen its all political and regional. The shia houthis are zaydi and they are so similar to sunnis everyone prays in the same mosque and you never hear about any sectarian conflicts ever. The city aden has always wanted to separate from the north and it wants independence and they are not supporters of president hadi either, why wud they be loyal to him when he has left them to defend for them selfes whilst hes safe and ordering the bombing of the civilians. The houthis is a movement or a party supported by more then half the country and they dont want the puppet government that had been put. They have all the army supporting them which is why it makes them strong , and in aden its only youths that are coming out and fighting the new movement thats why they dont stand a chance. The saudis want to deafet the houthis which has the whole army of yemen and more then half of yemen supporting it. So saudi are fighting yemen not any paticular group

Pakistan has a very experienced military as it has always been involved in some conflict since its conceptions. Pakistani military planners concluded that the war in Yemen can not be won and it would turn into another Afghanistan while the Saudis claimed they would win within a couple months. "Cowards" mind you that these "cowards" have been fighting wars since cold war and before. Have Saudi Arabia fought a state 4x larger than them in population, materials, military strength, economy? Well we have with India and still standing. Did Saudis fought a giant like USSR? well we did in Afghanistan (and lost a huge amount of money over there), Did Saudis fought a terrorist organization for 20 years or so which was super powerful? We we have with Taliban (and it costed us way too much money than ever). Did Saudis got bombed by an ally? Well we did by America and our Northern regions were messed up. I'll try putting it simply. The Yemeni government was overthrown by Shia rebels known as the Houthis months ago. It is widely believed (though there is no proof) that Iran is arming the Houthis because of the fact that they both are Shia. Saudi Arabia got concerned that Iran was basically at its doorstep via the Houthis and decided to form a coalition - similar to the western coalition against ISIS - to bomb the rebel held areas of Yemen in hopes of driving them back. So essentially, it's a battle between the Shia and the Sunnis which is an age old battle repeated many a time throughout history. This has the potential to become a massive threat to the region like Syria has become, especially since Al Qaeda already has a solid foothold in Yemen and has had it for years. So the longer this conflict drags on, the better the chance it will become another Syria.

welshdragon2008 Hadi is USA/Western backed. The Houthis are not.
With the Houthis in control of Yemen, it makes Iran (who backs the Houthi) as the undisputed power ruling Yemen. This play by the Houthis is seen as a power grab by the Iranians (Similar to what happened in Lebanon) and as such, seen as Iran further solidify their hold on the region and further expanding their influence and power.
The reason for the bombing is simple. The USA and the Saudis don't want the Iranians to have any power in Yemen because of their rivalry as the US is an ally of Saudi Arabia and not Iran. So by extension, the US supports the bombing of Yemen.
The reason why the Saudi led coalition - of Arab states - are bombing Yemen is because they want the Houthis, and by extension, Iran out of Yemen.

The answer is found in Salah ad-Din al-Ayubi [Saladin] and Nur ad-Din Zanki when they fought the Shia in Egypt and Syria before [addressing] Jerusalem. Salah ad-Din fought more than 50 battles before he reached Jerusalem. And it was said to Salah ad-Din al-Ayubi: "You fight the Shia and the Fatimids in Egypt and allow the Latin Crusaders to occupy Jerusalem?" And he responded: "I will not fight the Crusaders while my back is exposed to the Shia."

m p.s. saladin didn't "fight the shia" in egypt and syria, they were appointed to high positions in the fatimid shia imamate in egypt (all the way up to vizier) - he just ended up taking over at the right time when the fatimid imam died of natural causes - this is akin to what saddam did with his uncle al-bakr in iraq and was done without fighting. and he backed off from fighting the shias in syria when the leader of the assassins left a note with a poisoned dagger threatening him to stop fighting the ismailis, which he did (afterwards saladin paired up and allied with the assassins in various battles against the crusaders)
