I've used Gold Class for years, as well as Meguiar's D11101 Shampoo Plus which I think is just their professional line equivalent with very good results. The Shampoo plus was a little cheaper for me by the gallon than the Gold Class was for a 1/2 gallon so I went with that. Haven't been disappointed.
I have tried dozens of different soaps and always come back to Gold Class. IMO it does the best job of lifting dirt and protecting the finish from scratches when you use a microfiber sponge. If you just put your hand in the soapy water you will see for yourself. It has a sort of oily feeling to it. That oily feeling lubricates the dirt so less scratches.
Habe you tried meguiers ultimate wash and wax? The yellow one?? I love it the chrome shines really good after a wash. Haven't tried the gold class in the cannon yet but never really liked it in the days from the Buckets.
I went to the gold wash last year.. I usually just go a cheap wash but went with the Meguiars gold stuff this time. Man, I like this stuff. I like the smell too.
Awesome looking cars, a big fan of both. As someone who owns a detail business, both will work just fine on a car that's well maintained, you could honestly use just about anything. What you and I consider "dirty" for a vehicle is nothing compared to what some people bring in for me to wash. Chemical Guys products come in handy for the vehicles that look like they haven't been washed in years, or just really dirty cars in general. If you keep your car up, you won't notice a difference in my opinion.
I really like Mr. Pink but its only worth it to buy in a gallon size, and at that point is pretty equal in price to Meguiars if you were gonna buy a gallon. I also have a detail garage store near me so I don't have to have the chemical guys stuff shipped. But yeah, they both work the same for me. I don't get as good of foam with either but I have a really super cheap foam cannon but I use the same pressure washer as in these vids.
To all that want to know.. 1.Masterson's mystic snow foam is the absolute best snow foam out there.. 2.Honeydew snow foam rocks.. really good thick suds.. nice dwell time and good run off.. These are my picks after trying many in my foam cannon.. Mr. Pink is just ok for a foam cannon.. If you want the best tho.. Check out Masterson's Mystic snow foam.. I got it at the Mastersons website.. I could not believe the coating of foam and how long it stays on.. Btw, you do need to use a pressure washer to get these results.. Its . Like 12 bucks or so...
Great video man! Meguiar's is a top of the line & well respected company in the detailing world. Seems like those few individuals were just dazzled with Chem Guys cute marketing & packaging. Lol.
Some of the chem guys stuff is really good, some is not. Their soap in 16oz is a rip off but affordable and about the same cost as Meguiars when bought in bulk. So Im not suprised they performed equal
There has always been a Chemical Guys in the car detailing industry. Meguiars themselves have dabbled in marketing products that don’t do as claimed. Back in the 90’s Meguiars didn’t have as many products as today. Early 2000 they came out with all these inferior products marketed to consumers and none of them were worth the price. I remember back in the late 90’s when Trak Auto got Zymol, it was super expensive but for a closet detailer looking for the holy grail of car polish and wax, I bought into a lot of marketing. Zymol was so high-tech it was supposed to just disappear and absorb into the paint. Today Zymol is cheap, but back then a tiny bottle fetched $60. After buying into years of professional and Concours marketing bs, I just stick to Meguiars tried and true Professional line of cleaner waxes, polish and sealants. Its a lot of work but nobody has invented a product to do all three well. All the above is now happening for soap. Kinda funny.
Hi and thanx for the video.. may i ask a question plz about the MTM canon it reads 2600 PSI.. at the same time in the description on Amazon it reads that it's for Karcher washers K series fitting etc. But correct me if i'm wrong.. the biggest (k7) z only 2300 PSI then it won't bring ideal results with a canon that requires a giant 2600 PSI am i right?
I use meguiars products all around my car. the people that said it's cheap may be referring to the fact that they have an ultimate line of products out. try their yellow ultimate wash and wax. it's about 10$, and it's great if you don't have time to wax that day. but for a non waxing wash, gold class is best. thanks for the vid btw. this was actually the first featured video on Amazon's website when I was viewing chem guys Mr pink. glad I saw it!
I've been using Meguiar's on my black cars for 15 years. Works beautifully. "Specially formulated" sounds like marketing speak to me. What makes the foam is the nozzle. I would probably still have to contact wash the car even after using this stuff. I would foam it up, get my micro-fiber mitts out (one on each hand) and clean off the grime.
A higher gpm pressure washer will be the only thing that yields more, thicker foam. I used to use a 1.2 gpm electric one and I have since upgraded to a 3000 psi 2.4 gpm gas washer and it makes foam that you could shave with lol. And nothing wrong with meguires products. I am an advocate for carpro products but I def still have some meguires stuff I use from time to time
not to mention the price point for Meguiar's Gold Class is way easier to swallow. I've also used both products and the results are essentially the same. I do agree that the Chemical Guys products smell delicious, but does that really make a difference in the overall result? I don't think so. I'd rather buy the big jug of Gold Class and get more washes.
also, I'm sure anyone who watches Chemical Guys' videos is aware of how many products they try to push in each segment. The amount of crap they use to wash a car, while some of it is admittedly cool, can start to get a little ridiculous. They'll use 4-5 wheel brushes, a cannon, soaps, mitten, miscellaneous cleaners, etc. All of that stuff is nice for a super detailed wash, but your average person can't afford to spend hundreds on wash supplies. Buying the big jug of Gold Class is a great way to save some change when building your car wash arsenal.
good fair evaluation -glad you're not just trying to hype up a product to sell for your own benefit ---good job I was detailing 40 years ago before it was in fashion . Gold Class best bang for buck
People that said meguirs is a cheap product have only Seen cheap chemical guy episodes , chemica guys is garbage have no Detailer from there have never won a serious show like a pebble beach competition
Am sorry. But i dont get it. If the soap instruction says 1 ounce for 1 gallon , why would u put 5 ounces in 1 litre in the foam cannon bottle? Isn't it out of proportion?
I think some people associate big jugs of car wash as “cheap” Vs. The smaller containers like the chemical guys, the size is what makes people think of it
UPDATE:1 year and still cranks within the first 2-3 pulls. Probably will buy another when this one finally does bite the dust ruclips.net/user/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX . No issues at all. Very happy with it.UPDATE: After 6 months of use and over 70 uses I would still highly recommend this pressure washer. It does vibrate a decent amount but never had it “walk” like others have mentioned. No oil leaks, still seems to run like the day I bought it. Still cranks within 2-3 pulls every time. Very happy with my purchase!Have used it about a dozen times now. Plenty of power, cranks up on 1-2 pulls every time. My only complaint would be I wish it was a little taller to make it easier to walk with it (hits my ankles a lot) and that the two hose connections were a little further apart but it hasn’t caused me any issues. Seems to run a good 1-1/2-2 hrs on a full tank, overall a well built machine and definitely worth the money in my opinion.
Hey, just an advice, but Chemical Guys' snowfoam is called Honeydew. Try it, and you'll see the difference. Mr. Pink is a shampoo, which you should use after the snowfoam pre-wash. Nice rides, btw.
I'm struggling to decide on a soap for my electric pressure washer. None of our known car soaps say they are for pressure washers. Others thoughts on this soap and a pressure washer?
Im kinda having a hard time justifying the foam cannon at $60 when Ive seen cheaper options. Ive even seen what appeared to be the same thing bundled in the box of a $70 1750PSI Power Washer
I used this with a 1500 psi electric washer and it foamed up great using mequiars gold class. Its cheap and it worked great for me. smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LAWOF9S/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
That Mr Pink is almost double the cost than the Meguiars, but when you are talking soap you use very little,, I guess you can use either and get the same result.
just buy meguiars gold class and add some mint in it to see if that gives it a better scent lol. wtf do people want fruity smell on soap for? Is chemical guys even the best product out there? If so then just buy some of their product for more expensive cars or different package deals.

Bob, do you happen to have a soap dispenser with your spot sprayer? If so, I believe if you use less soap and more water (start with 1 to 10 ratio and adjust until satisfied) you would get more of a foam result. Foam cannons such as the one in this video require much more water pressure than what a spot sprayer can deliver in my opinion.
Meguiars Gold Class is basically the standard in the detailing community. Nothing "cheap" about it, its a fantastic soap.
Yeah I didn't understand where those few individuals were coming from. I've used it for a while and love it.
nls8520 I use it to so people can waste money if they want
Which shampoo should I use, Meguiars Gold class or Meguiars ultimate wash & wax? Which one is better?
sergiogarciad Between the two Gold Class. I don't generally like shampoos that also "wax" it's just bogus. Your clearcoat needs real protection.
nls8520 i use it. of course i wax even if the shampoo includes wax.
I've used Gold Class for years, as well as Meguiar's D11101 Shampoo Plus which I think is just their professional line equivalent with very good results. I guess I just lucked out because this was the first soap I've used in my foam cannon and still love it.
Habe you tried meguiers ultimate wash and wax? The yellow one?? I love it the chrome shines really good after a wash. Haven't tried the gold class in the cannon yet but never really liked it in the days from the Buckets.
Thanks very much for posting. Just got a pressure washer with foam cannon and wasn't sure the best way to use it.
I've been using gold class for years love it
Likewise, It has never failed me.
Meguairs Gold Class works strangely well with my foam cannon! Smells outstanding as well.
I continue to use the Meguiar's shampoo as good enough, and CG's products for other purposes such as seals and waxing. Great video!
I went to the gold wash last year.. I usually just go a cheap wash but went with the Meguiars gold stuff this time. Man, I like this stuff. I like the smell too.

the gold class is awesome product I use it all the time Nice video bro!!
Thanks! I love Gold Class as well
I have had the same results with The meguirs. One benefit would be that the Meguirs can be bought for a really good price at Costco.
Great video man! Meguiar's is a top of the line & well respected company in the detailing world. Seems like those few individuals were just dazzled with Chem Guys cute marketing & packaging. Lol.
Haha, that must be it. But I'm using Gold Class from here on out.
Some of the chem guys stuff is really good, some is not. Their soap in 16oz is a rip off but affordable and about the same cost as Meguiars when bought in bulk. So Im not suprised they performed equal

HawkeyeSTiGuy yep
I personally use the Gold Class as well, and I was wondering how many ounces of the product would I need for a Good to an Average foam wash?
What kind of fast home alternative soaps can I use if I don't have either gold glass or mr. pink?
Gold glass for the win
I’m in between Maguires gold class and their ultimate soap which one should I buy?

Put water in the cannon first then add soap so it's easier so it doesn't foam up in the cannon
Its easier to show us how much soap he put in if he puts the soap in first.
this is like a BRAZZERS video on cars
lol ;)
where can I get a foam cannon that will work off my 12 volt spot sprayer that is about 4 to 6 gal per min at about 60 Psi…..help desperate..thanks

Should your power washer not be flat down? When in use
Did you rinse it first or no?
i combin them, with max sudds 2 and lil bit extream sudds
Ever thought about mixing chemical guys "HoneyDew" and "Meguiar's Gold Class"? I will try different ratio of each.
not to mention the price point for Meguiar's Gold Class is way easier to swallow. I've also used both products and the results are essentially the same. the great Defiantly agree!
People that said meguirs is a cheap product have only Seen cheap chemical guy episodes , chemica guys is garbage have no Detailer from there have never won a serious show like a pebble beach competition
elmer1949 I agreed with you 100%. Chemical Guys soap stained my clear coat and I can't wax it off.
TheDdang78 I always had a bad vibe about chemical guys for some reason,Never used their products but their videos are really odd.
Awesome video.
Am sorry. But i dont get it. If the soap instruction says 1 ounce for 1 gallon , why would u put 5 ounces in 1 litre in the foam cannon bottle? Isn't it out of proportion?
Bro you got some nice cars
I think some people associate big jugs of car wash as “cheap” Vs. The smaller containers like the chemical guys, the size is what makes people think of it
I love the corvette stingray
Your cannon is not set correctly. I adjust mine up a bit and I get tons of foam.
great video
this is fantastic I'm gonna love it but i want to know the name of soap and shampoo used please tell me

Gold Class is great! I use it almost every wash. Nothing cheap about it
Good price but great quality!
Thank you

Gold class is good soap
Hey, just an advice, but Chemical Guys' snowfoam is called Honeydew. Try it, and you'll see the difference. Mr. Pink is a shampoo, which you should use after the snowfoam pre-wash. Nice rides, btw.
Please explain further for myself.. lol
Try Adams polishes
If you use a stronger pressure washer it will be more foamier. Like a good gas powered
How is the power washer working for you? Do you like and recommend?
I've used it on too many washes to count and has done great! Electric is the way to go in my opinion.
I'm struggling to decide on a soap for my electric pressure washer. None of our known car soaps say they are for pressure washers. Others thoughts on this soap and a pressure washer?
Most people calling it cheap are people who are raised by youtube. Been using everysingle type of product 98% work exactly the same
for me I'd say Maguire's is better than Mr pink and a lot cheaper
Agreed
Im kinda having a hard time justifying the foam cannon at $60 when Ive seen cheaper options. Ive even seen what appeared to be the same thing bundled in the box of a $70 1750PSI Power Washer

Darren Cole thanks!
Both seem pretty thin compared to other videos I seen
No Scrubbing?
Where do you buy your jumbo size meguiars?
Costco or Amazon
What model of corvertte is this specific car?
Sorry guys,I´m European and don´t know every American car model.
This is a 2015 Corvette C7 Stingray with the Z51 package :)
Who uses Adams?b
People put too much in names when buying stuff. Mothers and Mequires have been around as long as they have for a reason.
That Mr Pink is almost double the cost than the Meguiars, but when you are talking soap you use very little,, I guess you can use either and get the same result.
Yeah for the cost difference I like Meguiar's. Plus they sell large containers and they last forever!
Good points....most car soaps are all the same.
Name of the first car please?
SufyanBel Subaru BRZ
also has a twin called the Scion FRS
have u try dawn blue platium it works really well but u have to use haft the bottom
flyhigh_falcon 29 that is also bad for the paint
Meguiars definitely has a smell. It smells like Johnson and Johnson baby lotion.
damn that corvette sexy
Exactly my thoughts
why dry? just do a rinse with mineral free water
But the cars aren't dirty, not going to show how well they work ?
just buy meguiars gold class and add some mint in it to see if that gives it a better scent lol. wtf do people want fruity smell on soap for? Is chemical guys even the best product out there? If so then just buy some of their product for more expensive cars or different package deals.

You need to turn the cannon knob clockwise to get thick foam!! Your foam looks watery!
nice vette
Most professional detailers use Meguiars Gold Class. Chemical Guys is a rip off.
I was wondering where the hell you were lol
where can I get a foam cannon that will work off my 12 volt spot sprayer that is about 4 to 6 gal per min at about 60 Psi…..help desperate..thanks
Such an expensive cars, you can buy a better pressure cleaner and get better results .
Honestly I would just buy the gold class, CG is really a overrated brand. $8 CG mr pink for 12 oz vs $7 gold class when you get well over a gallon.
Agreed
what's up with you and white cars
exclusivee game They look clean 👌
That foam sucks. Change the orifice
used a white car huh?
Gold class smells like baby shampoo to me
Why don't I ever see an actual dirty car getting foam washed ever?
Because a white car over video doesn't portray how dirty the car is in real life.
No I agree. Maybe because those reviewing do not wish to be embarrassed...?
Stay in school kids
Its your orifice bro.
I can’t help but cringe each time people start spraying from the bottom up!
It's guys who do know what their doing why say gold class is cheap. Because their brainwashed into thinking newer products are better lol
bit of a pointless video, the car was basically clean before you started the comparison,I would like to see the test on a heavily soiled vehicle
Oh it was dirty, white paint just hides it better.
i use dish washing liquid
Haters gonna hate lol
Comparing foam on two WHITE cars??? Seriously?
Sorry, I should've bought a different color just for youtube... lol
Slow down man...FFS...you talk too fast....I cant understand a word you're saying....
You can slow the video down...
Pete Finn aww does your little brain hurt? Try speeding up slow poke
Hah try to keep up with Ben Shapiro, that’s fast talking
