I love cities and I plan to be an architect and urban planner, but I have to agree, our rapid growth and consumerism is clearly destructive and unright. If we don't change our ways and make a better world, our future generations, maybe even us, will have to deal with the consequences of our genocide of the environment which we are so dependent on.
One thing also implied in the song is that this is humanity’s nature, but that nature must be changed. We developed our traits through the survival of the fittest, and hating each other and loving ourselves became important to survive. Now, with us at the top of the food chain, that makes it so we attack minorities, we fight countries over the most minor inconveniences, we force beliefs onto other people because we think it’s right. This need to be at the top became greed. It’s like a pet, in that sometimes it can be good if trained right, but most people feed it too much, and the more we try to feed it, the hungrier it gets. But, it’s not greed’s fault. It’s the fault of the worm inside that loves to hide and is yet another product of now unnecessary evolution. It’s what we call pride. And if we keep feeding greed and pride, they just keep getting bigger, which prompts us to make all of our stuff bigger. We suddenly feel the need to have a bigger office, a bigger chair, a bigger desk, a bigger staff, even a bigger hat to wear, because we keep biggering, but that biggering’s just triggering more biggering. So we must fundamentally restrain ourselves from our need for growth, which is why this all is so hard.

I think there should be a version of the Lotax with both How Bad Can I Be? And Biggering as corporations and companies aren’t all like that, some companies are exactly as they’re portrayed in the animated Lorax and How Bad Can I Be? And personally I enjoy both songs and they should BOTH be included in a remake of The Lorax and have them play back to back or maybe even be combined to form one song as I can honk they both complement each other greatly and would help tell the story better, they both definitely have their flaws, I perfer Biggering. I’m he lyrics of both songs could be rewritten so that he hey are more versatile and you can use them on whatever you want without having to worry about having to change the lyrics to be more fitting for that specific thing thing. Lots of animals, like wolves and cyotes which are responsible for keeping herbavore populations in check have been hunted to endangerment partially because they also hunt livestock, and livestock like cows and sheep produce a large ammount of greenhouse gasses. Many insects are also killed because they eat crops as well, which may seem bad, but them eating plants helps make room for a larger variety of plants to grow, if it weren't for mamals and insects forests wouldn't have as many types of plants spread throught. Birds also are very beneficial, while they may take crops to eat, those birds are responsible for spreading the seeds of many plants through the act of eating their berries. Edit: One thing I missed is that the pesticides used on crops are not only deadly to insects, but to other animals, even we aren't safe from them, and firtilizer used for crops has it's own ramificatons, while you would think more nutrients in the soil would be a good thing, it actually leads to the overpopulation of certain species, like algae, when algae populations get too big they choke out everything in the water bodies they are in, plants and fish included.
