Thanks for the video. I have lived in Montana almost 40 years and in Helena for 14 years of them. I loved that town. I might add that there are several fire towers on National Forests that are owned by the US Forest Service. Some are still used to watch for forest fires during fire season. Also, most of the paintings in the capitol building are painted by a famous western painter, Charles M. Russell. I didnt notice them in the video. Montanans are very proud of them. My husband’s family were the original owners of the Eaton/Turner Jewelry store when it was in the gulch of downton, Helena, with their best friends, Zip and Ruth Eaton. 30 years ago my husband and I were engaged at the Montana Club in which they were members years and years ago. We also bought my engagement ring at their old store which were under new owners. It was a beautiful store with floor to ceiling mahogany and glass cases that were so exquisite in this beautiful downtown area. The Missouri River runs along Helena (which you left out) and Lewis and Clark traveled this River on their way to Oregon, hence Lewis and Clark County. My husband, future mother in law and I took a boat excursion trip on the Missouri there and watched the incredible white Rocky Mountain Goats navigate the rugged rocks up above us. You are totally right about Helena, Montana, it is a beautiful city and one you should take time to explore. The photo on your page is the old Montana Club, which is now closed. It was amazing back in the day with a gaming parlor on one floor, a ballroom and a beautiful dining area. Our engagement luncheon was incredible and I am so thankful that my husband’s late mother was able to have one last meal there before she went back home to Tucson. I have her little evening bags from the 40’s and long gloves that she wore to elegant events there when they lived in Helena. My husband’s father shot one of the largest bull moose in Lewis and Clark County, and a bank had it taxidermied and displayed in their lobby for years.
I was born in Helena. Nice town. One thing I bet you didn't know about Helena is it had an active brothel until 1973. The madam's name was Big Dorthy. I didn't visit Big Dorthy's because I was only 10 years old when law enforcement shut it down for good. As I watched further I see you visited Big Dorthy's. LOL

Love Helena so much. Went to college there in the seventies. Even then, there were so many good restaurants, live music and fun things to do. Most fabulous wedding I ever went to was Candlelight ceremony in the Cathedral.
I could make a tour of all the Cathedrals here and elsewhere, and be a happy man. Thanks for this view inside this beautiful one. That goes for Fire Towers as well btw.
This video was a pleasant surprise for me. I knew very little about Montana, and nothing about Helena, so I really enjoyed seeing these places for the first time. Standouts for me were a) the Big Sky (the country is so very vast!), and b) that glorious cathedral, with its beautiful stained-glass windows. Fortunately, I watched this video while eating lunch, so seeing the food at the end didn't provoke hunger pangs, as often happens when I watch the videos at odd times of the day or night. Thanks very much for these most enjoyable films - they are really appreciated. Cheers from a cool to mild ( 19°C) autumn in Melbourne, Australia!
Aaayyy there’s my Cousin Montana Mike at 25:30 walking on the balcony of the capitol 😂 we’re in a walking workout competition right now and he’s destroying us! You captured him at work, how funny 🚶
I love the sound of church bells. I also love the old West feel of the town. So odd to have a middle Eastern spire on a building downtown. Just seemed so out of place. Thanks a bunch. Safe travels.
The cathedral was wonderful with beautiful stained glass and stone work. In Helena people's homes are literally their Castle! The city was very nice but I thought the rotunda in their capitol building was a tad bit gaudy for me. However for Helena it is perfect as they do flaunt their wealth with their architecture. Overall a very good video about Helena and I need not go there now as I have visited it through the artwork of your camera. Thanks for making another Saturday morning enjoyable.
Helena is such a beautiful city. Thank you for covering this in detail. You guys are a joy to watch. I love your pleasant and friendly approach, filled with relevant data.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Love Helena so much. Went to college there in the seventies. Even then, there were so many good restaurants, live music and fun things to do. Most fabulous wedding I ever went to was Candlelight ceremony in the Cathedral.
HA! I live in Helena! didn't know about the fire tower or that underpass/monument 😆 thanks for pointing it out. Have to go check em out now
Had me at the yellowstone comment. I am a faithful yellowstone fan. Love Montana.
I could make a tour of all the Cathedrals here and elsewhere, and be a happy man. Thanks for this view inside this beautiful one. That goes for Fire Towers as well btw.
Wow, that's an epic cathedral.
Thank you for the kind words!!
The church is absolutely beautiful! A must see for sure if you happened to be in the area or passing through.
Thanks for all the videos. FYI Nic I had to buy a purse like the one in the video! Love it so much.
Awesome!
Helena is such a beautiful city. Thank you for covering this in detail. You guys are a joy to watch. I love your pleasant and friendly approach, filled with relevant data.
Thank you!
Love you guys!! Your videos have increased in quality. What about a meet and greet near Christmas in Dallas! We want you signatures! You are famous!
Beautiful town and its a place you never hear about!
Thanks you two. (Hope it never ends)
I recommended Helena about a year or so ago. Spent a couple of days there in the '80s. It's on my retirement radar.
