    ABOUT ME:
My name is David, and I play the mandolin. I've played with multiple award-winning bluegrass bands across the world including Missy Raines, Mile Twelve, Cup O’Joe, and The Foreign Landers, and I curate the weekly mandolin video series #mandolinmondays hosted by the Mandolin Cafe. But most of all, I love sharing my love of the mandolin with others. I run an online mandolin learning community on Patreon, and I also make videos to share my thoughts, ideas, and general mandolin enthusiasm with other mando aficionados. Thank you for this. As a new mandolin player, your channel has been extremely helpful. Mandolin content is hard to come by.

I've finally had to give up the mandolin because of worsening arthritis. I will miss David's livestreams and lessons most of all. And playing! That tone!

As a GDAE tenor banjo player these rudimental exercises are very helpful.
    Thanks a bunch.

This should be useful to purely focus on the right hand. Good to have one hand somewhat mastered by the time you begin adding some left hand notes into the mix. Thank you!

Thank you for your suggestion about using your wrist to play through the strings and arm movement to relocate to a new string. Makes a lot of sense. I can't wait to try it out with this exercise.

These are great. I think it would be cool to stay on one string for 1 measure and then play any of the 2, 3 and 4 string pattern measures. (I'm not an expert but I think that actually gives you a better sense of what timing is needed for adjacent/skipping strings)

These are great! It sounds like your tempo is quite a bit quicker than 60. Are you playing 16ths?

It's okay to put your fingers on some frets if you get bored with GDAE. 😉
Huh! You didn't do the pizza stoke! Two strings down, one up. Ah, but you didn't do 3/4 time
