I truly believe that these Orthodox chants praise God. Non denominational Church praise and worship always reminded me of secular music with Christian lyrics.
I have been researching Orthodox Christianity and I seem to be drawn to it. I am a Christian searching for truth and I believe that I may have found that truth in Orthodox Christianity.
I have never felt this feeling as a non denominational Christian. I still have much to learn so please pray for me.
You are welcome home, into the One historical, Catholic, Apostolic, Orthodox Church..... Or as we Eastern Orthodox call it "Christianity" because that is what it is. The faith once given, forever kept by those who choose Christ over the world, ever lasting until the ages of ages as Christ promised. The body of Christ is ONE, it is the Bride and she can't be divided. The Gates of hell will never prevail against her.
So no matter how many people fall away, how many schizm from her. She will always remain true and those who fall away simply condemn themselves.
The church will pray for these lost ones to return, but in the end there is only ONE church.

Orthodoxy IS in itself a denomination, love. Keep praying and WAIT on The Lord to answer your prayers via His Holy Word (The Bible... breath of ✝️).
@@joelanturk6280 God didn't leave denominations, he left a "singular" undivided church. This flows from Christology. That church exists and is in history. The idea of denominations is a heresy and refuted by St Paul in the Holy scriptures even.
There is only one Catholic and Apostolic Orthodox Church in history and then there are the many who fell away from that church and are withering away into death and decay.

He created everything, He created Us.
He forgave Us when We didn’t obey Him.
He Is the God Of Noah, He is the God of Abraham, He is the One True God of Moses who took Israel out of Egypt and brought Israel to the promised Land through Moses and Joshua.
He is the God of the Hosts in Heaven and on Earth.
He came down from Heaven to Earth denying all that Glory to be an humble servant, being the perfect human being, our LORD.
He got crucified, descended into Ades and took everyone in the Bussom of Abraham to the Father , proclaiming victory over death and humbling Hell.
In this very Moment He is sustaining Creation and is thinking about you and He loves you.
He is Humble, Forgiving, Almighty, Lord, Eternal, The Inhereter, The First and The Last.
He made you and He forgives you for your sins.
Glory to The Father, The Son and to The Holy Spirit. ☦️❤

Just like biblical and historical evidence proves that jesus and his apostles were vegatarians biblical and historical evidence also proves that the trinity, atonement, original sin and hell are very late misinterpretations and are not supported by the early creed hence its not a part of Christianity I pray that Allah swt revives Christianity both inside and out preserves and protects it and makes its massage be witnessed by all people but at the right moment, place and time

Born on the 24th of december, and i always put this chant on when im alone on christmas night. It gives me peace.
I converted to orthodoxy just a few days ago because their idea of bowing down to the floor all the way when praying is in accordance to gods way of praying!
Their idea of fasting many times throughout the year, almost half the year is what I want in my life. Their music about Yeshua and god and the holy spirit is so beautiful!
Their ideas of sin and what is sin and what is not is in accordance to the bible, not like most modern day Christians that follow the world on their ideas.
I just do not know what to think of the icons yet, but they say they do not worship them, it is like a gate way to god and Yeshua so I will have to see.

Good day, brother in Christ. There are different types of worship. Abraham bowed to the sons of Het (Gen.23:12), Jacob bowed on top of his staff (Heb.11:21). All this is called reverent worship, which we worship before shrines, in particular, before icons. An example of such worship is given to us in the Bible. - Joshua fell on his face before the ark, which was an icon of the invisible God and was covered with icons of angels (Is. Joshua 7:6). David bowed to the temple (Ps. 5:8) and said that, having woken up, he would “be satisfied with the image of God” (Ps. 16:15). And the very device of the tabernacle assumed reverent worship, lighting of lamps and burning incense in front of a curtain covered with icons of cherubs (Ex. 26; 31, 35. 30:6-7).
So the Orthodox Church is faithful to the Revelation of God in everything! But there is another kind of worship, called divine worship or service, we render it only to God, and so we bow only before Holy Communion, for in it God the Word Himself stands before us with His Body and Blood!

I was just scared of the icons because as I child I was brought up in protestant ways, so anything to do with icons or Mary was seen as idolatry, but I understand know, and the bible verse you gave us even more perfect because it proves it!

As I understand the Icons are images out of respect for God and for Christians of the past who could not read.
