- From his first appearance in 1956 on The Ed Sullivan Show, Elvis Presley embodied rock and roll. His career spawned hit after hit and elevated a simple country boy to the most popular musician on the planet.
Presley sold millions of records and sold out concerts to screaming fans. But behind the scenes, Presley was a deeply troubled man. As the years went by, he sunk into opiate addiction and neglected his health. He would die at just 42.

ELVIS PRESLEY is ALIVE and WELL AT 84 !!! HE DID NOT DIE ON 8/16 /77.
*I I myself at one time did not believe, a friend of mine told me the truth.....
* Elvis in the coffin is NOT a real person it is a wax dummy, & is it really a 42 year old? it is supposed to be 18 . so ask your self is it really Elvis?
* yes , Elvis was sick , that was not a lie , Elvis said he had to stop touring otherwise he would get worse and end up dead.
*yes, its very true Elvis did fake his death to protect his family. he is under a witness protection program still. This had to happen because of the last couple of concert s bad people were after him.
* In the documentary ( ELVIS found ALIVE). if you are a true Elvis fan & read all of his books and magazines, you would know the information is true to the facts . It is truely Elvis he has an aged voice. they covered him so that he is not recognized. but ( yes) I truly believe it is ( ELVIS himself) we found him he would be *75 in this documentary. It us up to what you believe. I ' ve been an Elvis FAN for years. I am the same age as Lisa marie Presley. i am (52) you decided. Elvis lives ..

I've recently became fascinated with Elvis. I identify with his suffering towards the end, I'm currently 2 weeks sober, I turn 42 in August and my daughter is 6. I can't imagine having access to the drugs Elvis did, he was truly helpless surrounded by yes men and his trust of Dr. Nobody could have saved him 😓

One of the most beautiful men who ever lived. When he was young...
how young we speaking??
No one ever mentions Colonel Tom Parker who took half of Elvis' income and kept him on the stardom tread mill. We'd all probably have to do drugs to keep up the pace. The man had a beautiful voice. He will ALWAYS be missed.
Right. Elvis definitely worked too much during the 70s. He had to do two shows per night for a full month twice a year in Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe, not to mention the tours! It's humanly untenable.
He’s a freaking legend and will never be forgotten💞One of the most talented and gorgeous man ever love him❤️
Me too...

Do your research. Elvis was a racist bigot before being a bigot was even a thing. Most of his catalog were songs stolen from Black musicians. Google *CHUCK BERRY* The true king of rock and roll a black man that Elvis stole music from and claimed as his own. The song *HOUNDDOG* originally written by Big Mamma Thornton. A black woman. Elvis was so basic, tired, through and delayed, as there is nothing iconic and original about him. His success was built off the backs of hardworking black talented musicians.

I always felt deep in my heart that his medication was doctored by someone who wanted to put him away. In summation, Elvis Presley had already had drug problems in his 20's, and his doctor kept giving him more and more drugs which caused him to have a heart attack and die.
Indeed if you look up his history of diet and pills you will see that his death at 42 was understandable, the man ate alot of saturated fat and sugar he barely ate any fruit and vegetables and he hated the smell of fish.
@@hvafaenskaljeghete1800 ,hi there.
I totally agree with you!!!!. It wasn't just the drugs, ( even though, he had an addictive personality) and the " drugs took a hold of him". In a previous msg, i posted, " his diet was dreadful, not to mention, hardly any exercise, along with the psychological problems, he would have been going through, and much, much more.
I was somewhat offended, when someone said " all Drs just want to get patients money, give them pills, and basically we kill them ".
I was a Forensic Psychologist, and I am now, the head of ," the Trauma Team ", in a particular hospital.
If i can save just " one life ", my job is done ( so to speak). I have saved many, many lives, and I am not A Dr , that wants to prescribe pills/ drugs ". They are prescribed, in the correct manner, and if a patient is feeling pain, longer than they should be, i would investigate, to see , if its " physical pain ,or more Psychological pain, and they think " drugs are the Answer ". No , I wouldn't keep prescrbing ,this form ,let alone " combination of pills/ drugs to anyone ".
Unfortunately, Elvis thought " his pain would go away, if he kept on taking this medication, and im talking " Psychological Pain". The longer someone is taking Narcotics, the more, and more they need, to get rid of the pain ".
I wish " someone would have intervened ,much earlier in his life, and got him some real help ".
Thankyou for your , open mind, and you hit the nail on the head!!!!!.
Long live the KING.

Elvis would be alive today if his mother would have been alive at the time. She never would have let him get in the condition he got to. But, unfortunately she was gone and Elvis was surrounded by Yes men. He didn't have a true real solid friend that cared about HIM, and not what they could get from him.. I feel very sad for him...He had everything, but nothing at the same time..He is at peace now.
so sad that due to the demands of fans and the music industry he had to stay awake on certain times when he shouldn't and had to force himself to sleep when he shouldn't/couldn't just to get back that sleep he lost. this is mostly where a celebrity's drug addiction starts (if not from bad influence or emotional coping mechanism). RIP
Lol he didn’t have to stay awake
Wtf nobody forced him to get famous and do drugs
@@rajkothari5086 well why would you know how it works when you are not as famous as elvis was. It takes so much hard work and sacrifice to get where he did and it takes a toll on someone... You don't just sleep when you have work to do and people are constantly demanding the best from you. People get depressed and start abusing drugs. Anyway he died such a long time ago but many still know him, that too by only his first name. He's a legend which he probably wouldn't have been if he just did whatever he wanted whenever he wanted
yes, I think there should be more leniency, I mean, who are we living for, allow celebrities to perform for half the time so that they live twice the time.
Ana Soya He should have surrounded himself with better people, better entourage then what he had. They were all deadbeats, freeloaders, groupies, scrounges, takers. Plus, Elvis wasn’t well educated,he became rich too fast didn’t have the savoir faire, the knowledge and know how of a man with money. He was dirt poor and by the age of 20 came into money, that basically gave him a free rein to do what he wanted, plus he wasn’t help much by well meaning people who wanted to do good by him. He never bothered to take care of his business trusted people he shouldn’t have and I also think the success and popularity went to his head a bit more then we think. He could do no wrong and did a lot of stupid things that finally got the better of him. Very sad, sad story of a boy who did not grow to be a man but mostly an adolescent with weird habits and quirks.
@@labellaescrima1996 hindsight is always 20/20. It's a lot easier to look back than forward. I think he had a helluva life, it just ended to soon😎😎
I'm 16 year old and I already known before that Elvis is a legend due to his popularity and my parents singing to his song (karaoke), As I've seen the movie Elvis (2022) I was in goosebumps the way Austin Butler portrayed such an emotion and the authenticity of each scene thanks to the director (Baz Luhrmann). it nearly brought me to tears and made me appreciate Presley's works even more. So from now on I'm going to listen more from Elvis Presley.

It said from January to August of 1977, there were 10k doses. That's an average of 44 doses per day. That's nearly a does every 30 minutes continuously around the clock. My God! That's just mind blowing. The excuse his doctor gave for prescribing so many drugs was so lame. He was an enabler. I can't believe he lived as long as he did that year........I remember where I was on that day. I was 12. My mom and I went to the music store in our town to pick up my trumpet for junior high band. We heard it over the radio while we were there. So sad!
Severe constipation since april 1977 ate multiple cheeseburger's and sandwiches daily (the Elvis sandwich) combine these two things, and you have a guarantee for a heart attack and as if that werent enough he had 14 different drugs in his system at the time of his death.

@Dr Diablory His STUPID Doctors come out very bad out of this. I thought Doctors job was to preserve life NOT to sell overdoses of drugs to patients and collect Thousands of $$$$ and lodge it in their own Bank account.. His Doctors should be charged with Manslaughter / Murder.
Elvis’s early death at the age of 42 is a lesson to everyone. If you exist on a daily very high fat diet, without any fruit or vegetables and you take a whole range of prescription drugs over several years, then you are literally killing yourself. The problem here is that Elvis didn’t exercise any self restraint as to what he ate and the drugs he took. Plus the fact, no one in his circle of so called friends, his manager, or even his doctor, had the courage to tell him the truth as to the damage he was doing to his body. They were all ‘yes men’ who kept on telling him he was in great shape and what a wonderful man he was! Hence Elvis lived in a narcissistic bubble! No one ever told him the truth! Indeed, by 1965, as the standard of his films deteriorated, no one had the guts to tell him that the films he was starring in were bloody awful! He was fed on a diet of unqualified adulation for far too long and sadly by 1974, Elvis had become a seriously overweight individual, whose body couldn’t sustain any more drugs!
If you love someone, you try to make their life a symbol for what not to do if they killed themsleves

I'll tell ya something new. A doctor who was in my barbershop not long ago was working at Baptist Memorial and was in the room when they brought Elvis in. He told me that yes Elvis took pills but that was not what he died from nor was it a bowel blockage which cause a heart attack. He had Hepatitis and had been on prednisone for 3 or 4 yrs and thats why he was bloated in the end. Thats what the Doctor who was there told me. Its never been public knowledge but made perfect sense to me. His Mother died the same way.

@@mrDCunningham If Elvis had been taking Prednisone daily for 3 or 4 years, that would explain perfectly why he was so overweight and sick during his concerts filmed in Omaha and Rapid City in 1977. Corticosteroids are indeed extremely powerful and active drugs. Sometimes I get treated with Prednisone for my asthma - never for more than a week at a time - so I know what I'm talking about. He broke a lot of barriers and that paved the way for a lot of different things. To die at 42 is just crazy to me!
Elvis was my first concert. I saw him at Olympia Stadium, in Detroit, the first time, when I 12 years old, and the seats were in the first balcony. My Auntie Lee knew I was a fan and bought me the tickets. My mom had to drive me because I was too young to drive myself. I saw him the second time, again, at Olympia. I found out about the concert by accident. He was playing that night. so, I ran down to Olympia's Box Office. There were only two tickets left. They were reserved for Mayor Coleman Young. Main floor, front and center, six rows back. I was very disappointed, so, the man, (in the ticket booth), called Detroit's City Hall, contacted someone in the Mayor's office to inquire if the Mayor was going to attend the concert. He wasn't and I bought the tickets for, I believe, $7.50 each! I was so happy! Long story short; I ran back home, changed in to clean blue jeans, called a friend, then headed back to Olympia. Best concert, ever. Well, at 12 years old, after that first concert,I had decided LIVE concerts were for me. ...and I attended 9-10 concerts that year. Now? I attend,up to, 14-15 concerts a year, depending upon who's playing, during the spring/summer months. ...and add 4-5 concerts during the fall and winter months. I guess you could say that Elvis, and my dad, (a jazz & blues musician), were my inspiration for seeing my favorite Rock & Blues artists, LIVE, and, in concert. Last year I attended, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, w/Buddy Guy, KISS, Gary Hoey, (twice), Ted Nugent, (twice), Elton John, Zakk Wylde, Alice Cooper, Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker, ZZ Top, Halestorm (featuring Lzzy Hale), Deep Purple, Anthony Gomes, and too many to recall! I highly recommend the concert life! The music speaks to your soul! So, Thank You, Elvis, for your inspiration.

Thank you, I almost died, got sepsis and barely made it. I'm not a drug addict but had a blockage nonetheless. Terrible time in my life.
They tried but no surgeons would touch Elvis, being afraid of getting sued. Surgery could have saved him.
Some of the drugs mentioned are opioids. Highly addictive.
He was told to have a surgery on his colon but he refused
I read that the medical examination after death found 35 pounds of waste backed up in his intestines because his colon was twisted. No M. R.I.then but 35 pound weight gain in a month and zero defication. You would think his doctor should have seen or suspected
35 pounds would push upward into the torso. putting pressure on the heart.I adore Elvis to this day.I play his singing on my badass bluetooth speaker to this day in public places loud.Do'nt ever forget Elvis.

You heard wrong, it would be impossible for that to even happen.
Morticia is right.
He'd have died from an intestinal blockage way before there was 35 pounds!!
Drugs or no Drugs the best sexy finest man and good hearted man around back then and today still, and what he done was his bussiness no'one else's r.i.p
he was a nonce anyway but ok
U r exactly right, the problem is the whole damn world THINKS it their business. IT'S NOT R.I.P ELVIS WE MISS YOU 😎😎
Only 42..
He was most handsome man those days
Even my mother, born in 1915, loved Elvis! He was a wonderful entertainer. It's so sad that he let others tell him what to do, using drugs to keep up with the demands put on him. I wonder if he ever had time to just enjoy his life.
Wow your mother was born in 1915? Which year were you born in?
Elvis has been gone for many year's now. Respect his familie's wishe's and let Elvis RIP. He's paid his due's, with all of the good he did while he was able to he deserve's nothing less. We were so blessed to be able to enjoy his presence in the world. So many people still love him and alway's will, it's really tiring to keep hearing how Elvis died. Why not think about how he lived?
He was the greatest. What’s your favorite Elvis song?
@@johnsnow5579Yes, Elvis was the greatest, I don't think there will ever be anyone else like him. I love all of Elvis's music, I grew up listening to his gospel and I Believe is one of my favorite's and I love American Trilogy and Marie's The Name of my Greatest Flame. I love his music so much it's really hard to pick a favorite. What is your favorite? I hope I didn't offend you with the gospel music some people don't believe in God and they get angry if you mention Him. I respect everyone's right to how they believe and don't try to change anyone's mind, we all have a choice. Take care this COVID is getting bad again, it's hard to know if there's an end in sight.
@@sandramaggard2962 I love that song also . Did you ever go his concert
@@johnsnow5579 No, I never got to see Elvis I sure wish I had I've been a fan since I was old enough to know he existed, if he was on tv you could be sure I'd be watching.
@@sandramaggard2962 I never went to his concert . So where are you from?
We miss you Elvis...
I jumped on Elvis's"Mystery Train"in 1955 and never got off.🗽👍
Elvis in his prime he was so dam handsome
The most handsome and talented guy that ever born. Now a days guys listened to Justin and ignoring the real music
Right but I never listen to Justin I only listen the songs of Michael Jackson
@@sonakshisharma3071 I am a big fan of Micheal Jackson
The King of Rock and the Queen of Soul both passed away on the same day, August 16th
Elvis’s dysfunctional life style together with several years of non stop concerts led Elvis to overdose on prescription drugs, to maintain his energy levels as well as to make him sleep. Added to which he was addicted to very high cholesterol foods, putting enormous strain on his heart. His high fat diet, which saw him put on enormous weight, together with the taking of all sorts of highly dangerous drugs over many years, was literally a death sentence.
If you look at photos of Elvis taken around the time of his death... he *doesn't*appear to be very overweight. His face is very bloated because of all of the drugs that he was taking.
When celebrities cant handle there past decisions they turn to drugs to ease the pain. It happens to the best of the best.
True. It knows no race, creed, status or gender.
Drugs don't solve any problems.
Drugs kill.
He had the Best voice I have ever heard!!!! RIP Elvis!!!
He will always be the king of rock and roll.
Beautiful humble man , the greatest forever.
Anna Elvis he was the best
Nothing sad about Elvis. He lived like a King and most people will never experience one day of the beauty he experienced in 5 minutes. Nothing sad about that died as a legend.
I remember this like it was yesterday. It was as if the world stop. Elvis was blessed with a beautiful voice and one of best looking men I've ever seen. He lived life in the fast lane, and had doctors To give him everything he wanted. He Will always be remember, you can count on that!
I agree. Is it a coincidnce or an accepted fact of life that when you reach the to[ you can only go down? These icons all fall to drugs and eventual death....Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston......
Let the man rest in peace he deserves that may he be with our heavenly father and our Lord Jesus Christ
he didnt even go to church so nope
Elvis’s stiff ain’t my type of thing, but he left an impact on the music industry that will never be forgotten.
"How do you save a man from himself" Red West ..
Leave the man alone!! People always have to stomp on Elvis’s grave for their own gratification.
belinda hawkins My dear, Elvis gave a lot to this world to benefit & bring happiness to the people here, and if Elvis hurt anyone, he only hurt himself, BUT it was his life NOT yours! People should be happy with the joy this man brought to this earth & give some respect & let the man Rest In Peace! Elvis gave away almost his entire fortune by the time he died because he had such a big heart. Enough people have walked on this man’s grave, don’t you think
@belinda hawkins Ginger had nothing to do with drugs! She was 20 what's wrong with it? Maybe you should stop taking this sh*?
Agree. Elvis was generous, the people who talk bad about him, they do nothing, they do nothing for anyone
Doctor was acquitted but his licence was revoked in 1995!?? 1995 realy!!
Elvis 🕺 gave the world so much in life and in death left us with so much the king 👑 still lives thankyou Elvis for amazing beautiful music 👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏
MJ wanted to copy him in every aspect....even named his estate Neverland to Rhyme with Graceland, married his daughter, maybe even took to drugs prescribed by a doctor to emulate Elvis, called himself King of Pop to match Elvis King of RockNroll maybe he wanted to exit this planet like Elvis..
My grandparents told me about Elvis Presley
My parents told me about Michael Jackson
I'll tell my kids about Avicii
Yeah , but I'm sure that the childrens of your kids will tell you about Elvis !
Who's Avici?

I wonder what would have happened if he had lived his life free from Colonel Parker.
I feel like it would have been very different to have someone who really cared about him.
FOR SURE WOULD BE TOO MUCH BETTER, HE WA TREVELING AROUND THE WORLD , AS HE WONTED AND DREAMED OF TO TEREVEL TO ALL EROUP AND JUPEN AS HE SAID. BECAUS OF THE TOM PARKER , THAT WAS UBLIGAL IN AMRICA , ELVIS LOST EVRYTHING THAT HE WANTED IN THE WORLD. I WISH ELVIS NEVER WAS MEET TOM PARKER

ELVIS WAS BORN IN 1935 SÓ HE WOULD BE 86 NOW IN AUGUST 2021
when the news of elvis's death came my grandma (austrian) cried. for many people it felt, like they had lost their youth forever.
Elvis you will live on forever. Miss you my friend. Rest in peace
I lived in apartment not many miles from Graceland. Elvis would sometimes be outside in the huge front yard. Fans hanging around the gates hoping they'd see him. Occasionally, a car would come to gates with Elvis in the back seat. I was there once when he was on horseback. On very rare occasions, he'd stop and talk to fans very briefly. I met him in a sporting good store in Corinth Ms. when he came in with 3 other men. This was many ears before his death. That quack of a "doctor" only wanted money and to be noticed. Rather than make drugs so available, he should have tried to get him help whether he wanted to or not. Damn drugs!!!
Best looking man that ever lived.
He was the greatest. What’s your favorite Elvis song?
Elvis was zo knap als ik er nu naar kijk maakt m'n hart een sprongetje❤❤
Oh Elvis if you'd only been more carefull the way u was taking ur meds. You would be here to day. I know u like that feeling u got off of them but once u got use to them , u had to take more an more. U was so stopped up u couldnt use the restroom an that caused the real big problem. I luv u Elvis. Wish u had been more carefull.your still in my heart. ❤❤🌹🧡💙🌹💜💜❤❤🌹
If Elvis didn't take drugs period he might still be alive today.
And he was so handsome!
Death of Elvis always makes me sad. He was handsome, talented, made lots of great songs that made us happy and also seemed like an overall good guy. He just made the wrong choices along the way. I hope he is in a better peaceful place now.

I've recently became fantasized with Elvis, and its so tragic of how when you die, your body just rots and eventually becomes just bones, and Elvis had such perfect skin and to know he just layed there and rotted away, truthfully breaks my heart.
Legend has it, that he allegedly lives in Arkansas as a church preacher these days....
