  • From his first appearance in 1956 on The Ed Sullivan Show, Elvis Presley embodied rock and roll. His career spawned hit after hit and elevated a simple country boy to the most popular musician on the planet.
Presley sold millions of records and sold out concerts to screaming fans. But behind the scenes, Presley was a deeply troubled man. As the years went by, he sunk into opiate addiction and neglected his health. He would die at just 42.

ELVIS PRESLEY is ALIVE and WELL AT 84 !!! HE DID NOT DIE ON 8/16 /77.
*I I myself at one time did not believe, a friend of mine told me the truth.....
      * Elvis in the coffin is NOT a real person it is a wax dummy, & is it really a 42 year old? it is supposed to be 18 . so ask your self is it really Elvis?
      * yes , Elvis was sick , that was not a lie , Elvis said he had to stop touring otherwise he would get worse and end up dead.
*yes, its very true Elvis did fake his death to protect his family. he is under a witness protection program still. This had to happen because of the last couple of concert s bad people were after him.
      * In the documentary ( ELVIS found ALIVE). if you are a true Elvis fan & read all of his books and magazines, you would know the information is true to the facts . It is truely Elvis he has an aged voice. they covered him so that he is not recognized. but ( yes) I truly believe it is ( ELVIS himself) we found him he would be *75 in this documentary. It us up to what you believe. I ' ve been an Elvis FAN for years. I am the same age as Lisa marie Presley. i am (52) you decided. Elvis lives ..

Do your research. Elvis was a racist bigot before being a bigot was even a thing. Most of his catalog were songs stolen from Black musicians. Google *CHUCK BERRY* The true king of rock and roll a black man that Elvis stole music from and claimed as his own. The song *HOUNDDOG* originally written by Big Mamma Thornton. A black woman. Elvis was so basic, tired, through and delayed, as there is nothing iconic and original about him. His success was built off the backs of hardworking black talented musicians.

      @@hvafaenskaljeghete1800 ,hi there.
I totally agree with you!!!!. It wasn't just the drugs, ( even though, he had an addictive personality) and the " drugs took a hold of him". In a previous msg, i posted, " his diet was dreadful, not to mention, hardly any exercise, along with the psychological problems, he would have been going through, and much, much more.
I was somewhat offended, when someone said " all Drs just want to get patients money, give them pills, and basically we kill them ".
I was a Forensic Psychologist, and I am now, the head of ," the Trauma Team ", in a particular hospital.
If i can save just " one life ", my job is done ( so to speak). I have saved many, many lives, and I am not A Dr , that wants to prescribe pills/ drugs ". They are prescribed, in the correct manner, and if a patient is feeling pain, longer than they should be, i would investigate, to see , if its " physical pain ,or more Psychological pain, and they think " drugs are the Answer ". No , I wouldn't keep prescrbing ,this form ,let alone " combination of pills/ drugs to anyone ".
Unfortunately, Elvis thought " his pain would go away, if he kept on taking this medication, and im talking " Psychological Pain". The longer someone is taking Narcotics, the more, and more they need, to get rid of the pain ".
I wish " someone would have intervened ,much earlier in his life, and got him some real help ".
Thankyou for your , open mind, and you hit the nail on the head!!!!!.

Ana Soya He should have surrounded himself with better people, better entourage then what he had. They were all deadbeats, freeloaders, groupies, scrounges, takers. Plus, Elvis wasn’t well educated,he became rich too fast didn’t have the savoir faire, the knowledge and know how of a man with money. He was dirt poor and by the age of 20 came into money, that basically gave him a free rein to do what he wanted, plus he wasn’t help much by well meaning people who wanted to do good by him. He never bothered to take care of his business trusted people he shouldn’t have and I also think the success and popularity went to his head a bit more then we think. He could do no wrong and did a lot of stupid things that finally got the better of him. Very sad, sad story of a boy who did not grow to be a man but mostly an adolescent with weird habits and quirks.

I can't believe he lived as long as he did that year........I remember where I was on that day. I was 12. My mom and I went to the music store in our town to pick up my trumpet for junior high band. We heard it over the radio while we were there. So sad!

Elvis’s early death at the age of 42 is a lesson to everyone. If you exist on a daily very high fat diet, without any fruit or vegetables and you take a whole range of prescription drugs over several years, then you are literally killing yourself. The problem here is that Elvis didn’t exercise any self restraint as to what he ate and the drugs he took. Plus the fact, no one in his circle of so called friends, his manager, or even his doctor, had the courage to tell him the truth as to the damage he was doing to his body. They were all ‘yes men’ who kept on telling him he was in great shape and what a wonderful man he was! Hence Elvis lived in a narcissistic bubble! No one ever told him the truth! Indeed, by 1965, as the standard of his films deteriorated, no one had the guts to tell him that the films he was starring in were bloody awful! He was fed on a diet of unqualified adulation for far too long and sadly by 1974, Elvis had become a seriously overweight individual, whose body couldn’t sustain any more drugs!

Elvis was my first concert. I saw him at Olympia Stadium, in Detroit, the first time, when I 12 years old, and the seats were in the first balcony. My Auntie Lee knew I was a fan and bought me the tickets. My mom had to drive me because I was too young to drive myself. I saw him the second time, again, at Olympia. I found out about the concert by accident. He was playing that night. so, I ran down to Olympia's Box Office. There were only two tickets left. They were reserved for Mayor Coleman Young. Main floor, front and center, six rows back. I was very disappointed, so, the man, (in the ticket booth), called Detroit's City Hall, contacted someone in the Mayor's office to inquire if the Mayor was going to attend the concert. He wasn't and I bought the tickets for, I believe, $7.50 each! I was so happy! Long story short; I ran back home, changed in to clean blue jeans, called a friend, then headed back to Olympia. Best concert, ever. Well, at 12 years old, after that first concert,I had decided LIVE concerts were for me. ...and I attended 9-10 concerts that year. Now? I attend,up to, 14-15 concerts a year, depending upon who's playing, during the spring/summer months. ...and add 4-5 concerts during the fall and winter months. I guess you could say that Elvis, and my dad, (a jazz & blues musician), were my inspiration for seeing my favorite Rock & Blues artists, LIVE, and, in concert. Last year I attended, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, w/Buddy Guy, KISS, Gary Hoey, (twice), Ted Nugent, (twice), Elton John, Zakk Wylde, Alice Cooper, Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker, ZZ Top, Halestorm (featuring Lzzy Hale), Deep Purple, Anthony Gomes, and too many to recall! I highly recommend the concert life! The music speaks to your soul! So, Thank You, Elvis, for your inspiration.

Elvis has been gone for many year's now. Respect his familie's wishe's and let Elvis RIP. He's paid his due's, with all of the good he did while he was able to he deserve's nothing less. We were so blessed to be able to enjoy his presence in the world. So many people still love him and alway's will, it's really tiring to keep hearing how Elvis died. Why not think about how he lived?

@@johnsnow5579Yes, Elvis was the greatest, I don't think there will ever be anyone else like him. I love all of Elvis's music, I grew up listening to his gospel and I Believe is one of my favorite's and I love American Trilogy and Marie's The Name of my Greatest Flame. I love his music so much it's really hard to pick a favorite. What is your favorite? I hope I didn't offend you with the gospel music some people don't believe in God and they get angry if you mention Him. I respect everyone's right to how they believe and don't try to change anyone's mind, we all have a choice. Take care this COVID is getting bad again, it's hard to know if there's an end in sight.

Elvis’s dysfunctional life style together with several years of non stop concerts led Elvis to overdose on prescription drugs, to maintain his energy levels as well as to make him sleep. Added to which he was addicted to very high cholesterol foods, putting enormous strain on his heart. His high fat diet, which saw him put on enormous weight, together with the taking of all sorts of highly dangerous drugs over many years, was literally a death sentence.

I lived in apartment not many miles from Graceland. Elvis would sometimes be outside in the huge front yard. Fans hanging around the gates hoping they'd see him. Occasionally, a car would come to gates with Elvis in the back seat. I was there once when he was on horseback. On very rare occasions, he'd stop and talk to fans very briefly. I met him in a sporting good store in Corinth Ms. when he came in with 3 other men. This was many ears before his death. That quack of a "doctor" only wanted money and to be noticed. Rather than make drugs so available, he should have tried to get him help whether he wanted to or not. Damn drugs!!!
