  • Check out what a day in my life as a safety diver at One Ocean Diving looks like. While swimming with sharks is awesome, there are lots of other things involved in my day. This video is a little bit longer than normal. I was trying to squeeze a whole 10hr day into under 20min.

    I love my job but it isn't always easy. There are long days, lots of physical exercise, and focus required to get through the day. It is always worth it for those special moments in water, especially when a tiger shark shows up! I really appreciate you taking the time to make this video! I’ve been so curious about One Ocean Diving and have been following it all especially throughout quarantine, appreciating all the growth in numbers with the sharks, and vicariously living through any footage I can find. This is awesome. I definitely plan in making a trip out there soon God willing! (after covid)
    Also love all your dive videos, and just how candid you are.
    Thanks again!🤙🏽

      Thanks so much! Hopefully we can get you out on the water soon. When you book look for days with low wind and try and go early in the morning for the best conditions. Can always call the office if you have questions.

    Just dove with you guys last Saturday! It was amazing! One tiger stuck around the entire time we were in the water and a second one came at the end. We got so lucky seeing them with season being over. Probably going to post a video of the dive soon! Thank you One Ocean again!

    Thinking about going next time I have a layover in Oahu. Not being able to see the sea floor freaks me out more than the sharks though.

    I am excited to do the shark swim. Just wish you guys didn’t charge until it actually happens in October. Most places put a hold not charge the whole thing before it happens

    Do you guys record videos/photos for the swimmers ? Is it an additional cost? Or do we have to bring our own devices

    • @taylorksea
      @taylorksea  3 года назад

      Hi! Yes we do record on GoPro the entire dive, both the guests and the sharks. It is an additional cost but you can also bring your own camera/gopro if you like. There is more info on the oneoceandiving website

    Do you do this everyday or do y’all get a few days off I feel like this would quickly because a job and lose it’s fun

      One Ocean will run every day of the year if weather permits. Despite the fun it is definitely a job. Like any job it is 100% hard work! However, I still love it. Our week can be anywhere from 4 to 6 days a week depending on weather and how many staff members are available.

      @@taylorksea that’s awesome to hear that you still love it despite the work it’s hard to find a calling like that mine is EMS I just dive for fun. Do y’all make pretty good money?

      @@deathinthedark5451most probably not ,most of these 🦈 divers come from wealthy families as usual 😊😊😊. And it costs a small fortune to actually go 🦈 diving 🤿 PERIOD 😔😔. It's all about the Money's peeps and for their own gain as if they did actually care about sharks,they would leave them the hell alone .. Why can't some humans just keep out where they obviously don't belong!!!!!!?????. Godbless the 🦈 and all marine life and animals 🙏☮️❤️🖤💙💜🤎💛🧡💚🤍🍀🌵⭐

    As much as I respect the mission here, personally prefer swimming with dolphins /seeing humpback whales if I could.
