Just had you guys build me a level 3 6l80 and used a Circle D triple disc convertor and can’t wait to try it out, it’s awesome to see all the upgrades you did to this trans and that you have been doing it so long!
How did it turn out I have a g8 with the 4l80 and a custom circle D converter I've had problem after problem. Just curious how yours is treating you? I'm make 700hp wheel
GM Auto Transmissions seemed to have had a fairly high failure rate on the reverse clutch packs. Overall, 6L80's are very stout units. In fact, a lot of guys are putting these transmission in today's race cars. The first problem they run into is that they do not shift rite. If they tune them properly, they have little problems. Very good units. I miss the day back when your transmission started to slip, you just tightened up the bands. When they now fail,you have to rebuild!!
@@CircleDTransmissionHouston I'm doing fine. We sold the business in 2015 and I semi-retired. My wife kept working. We subsequently leased the building to the buyer. Five years into a 10-year lease (June 2020), he stripped the building and abandoned what little was left. We sold the building in Dec. 2020 "as is". Both my wife and I fully retired in Jan. 2021. Email or call me if you would like more detail. ==================================================== Contact info; J. Larry Bloodworth Draper, UT 84020-9798 larrybloodworth@gmail.com (801) 960-2475

This trans is fine. If you're not an idiot and abuse your vehicle.
@bcatz454
No difference!
