I've been watching your videos for years, and this evening went back to watch your Singapore playlist (after going down a Singapore travel rabbit hole). It's incredible how much your work has evolved over the course of time. This Kara and Nate time capsule was so fascinating to watch in the context of your current, next-level videos. Best wishes from Toronto! :)
I found your channel not too long ago, and wanted to go back and see the changes y'all have made over the years. Finding a Mitch Hedburg reference has justified the hours I've spent watching y'all. That's just awesome!
those public concerts are essentially meant to entertain the "spirits" during Hungry Ghost Festivals. You'll notice that the front row of seats are empty, reserved for the unseen guests.
I’ve recently started following you guys and I decided to watch each vlog starting with the first:). Absolutely love you guys and the way you vlog your entite adventure together. You guys have inspired me already to decide to visit the US this year for the first time doing a 2.5 month “mileage run” throughout the US together with my girlfriend. This year we travel to Poland, Malta, the UK, Belgium, France, Germany, Thailand, Australia and Singapore for just under $2000! The video’s made me realise we could have done those trips so much cheaper by using other ways of spending miles pr travel in different ways. I’d like to invite you guys over to the Netherlands and give you a place to stay in a town near Amsterdam I can show you around in my home town and we can go through the rest of the netherlands to show you around and let you expierence more of the dutch culture. Keep up the good work and thank you for the amazing point of view on traveling as a couple.
So I am looking to go to Singapore, first people I look for in research is yours! and although I have watched this before, it's been so long and I forgot this is EARLY in your travels. The style is so much more run and gun back then but just as much fun. I love that Nate always wake Kara up with coffee in all the videos.
Just found your channel and binged watching from the beginning. My husband and I love traveling. Good for you guys. Your looking a little thin in the Singapore videos. Keep up The good work.
Decided to watch from the beginning after following along randomly at some of the adventures plugged into my algorithm and its really a different world! Here I am watching your first time in Singapore knowing you already came back, walked across the whole country, and ended the trip in the rooftop pool of your dreams that you couldn't afford on this visit. Very cool, thank you for leaving them up and for the From the Beginning playlist, too.
@@KaraandNate Why are you lying.. I see that you guys are disappointed from most of the food reviews and never really said the food was delicious either
I’ve worked in SG for almost 6 yrs but I needed to go back home to be with my family last December 2020 as I know this pandemic will last for a long time. Watching you vlogs makes me miss Singapore so much 🥺
Love you guys! I started off watching the videos of your Trans-Siberian train ride and liked it so much I decided to watch all of your videos from the beginning. Can't wait to see the rest. Be safe you guys!!!
I’ve just found your VLOG and am thoroughly enjoying watching your adventures. You guys are so awesome, so upbeat and positive. Happy travels and thanks for taking us on your adventures!
Kathy Somers I think because they are not actual members of the lounge club they were in. You can also pay with miles or per day and thats probably why they can't stay al long as they want.
Started following you guys since I watched your redemption trip 😄 to the Philippines and Im glad you enjoyed it 😊. Been a fan since then. Now watching your videos from the start 😊😊
Truly enjoying all your videos! (Binge watching while sick😷)My fiancé and I plan to travel once our youngest is older, and your videos make me so excited to go 🌴✈️
It's so awesome that you can travel when you're young! I feel like I need to get to more places before it's too late! I'm 53 and have some aches and pains. I want to get to Ireland!
Watching this in 2020 and I just have to add that I stayed at that hotel when I was in Singapore too! I get so excited when I see places in your vlogs that I've also been to :)
Yes! Throughout the entire video I was like *fingers crossed, please like Singapore!* as I wanted you guys to have the best experience here :') Theres so much more you guys can do here still #secondtrip!!!
Next time you're in Singapore, try Meet 4 Meat. It's a hawker stand that sells beef wellington, ribeyes, and a "burger wellington" which is a burger but instead of bun you bet a wellington preparation. So delicious!
Mitch Hedburn reference! .... Gosh that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time. My husband and I use to watch him years ago!! Such a sad loss of a funny funny man! Still loving the vlogs.....just keep bingeing, just keep bingeing!
Found you guys today and I've been binge watching your videos. They're so good guys!!!! You both seem really nice and your videos are so cool. You guys really deserve much more subscribers. Hope to watch more videos in the future, keep it up guys :)
Isn't the Singapore Airport amazing?? When I was there in '87, there was a waterfall in the airport, and on a "mantel" about 20 feet up, there were lifesize China dolls. I never saw such a beautiful airport.
Love it.. we just did the Chilli Crab in Chinatown & Myanmar food at Peninsula Plaza. Also had 2 weeks in Mauritius eating Dholl Puris, Gateaux Piments and Roti's all day.. always room for more :))
yes, indeed. I was thinking Oh god too many people, until I realised this was taken in 2016, the good old days pre-pandemic. Now Chinatown is very quiet. Although that seemed like it was taken near CNY, hence all that crowd in the alley ways. on a normal day it's still crowded with mostly tourists and some locals.
Take it from an old man that grew up running the streets of Oahu Hawaii shave ice should be eating with flavors like 🍓 strawberry 🍓 🥭 mango 🥭 🍍 pineapple 🍍 🍒 cherry 🍒 papaya , and other such sweet flavors , but those were my favorites
If you haven't yet, please try the "halo-halo" in the Philippines. I am so inspired by this vlog... I'm going to Singapore tonight with my boyfriend and we are planning to make a vlog too.. you guys are amazing!!
I never expected to see a Mitch Hedberg quote in y'all's videos! 🧙⛵🌟🇺🇸 He was such a great comedian. Thanks for including that 👷 is there a receipt available for this comment?
hi Kara & Nate, have been following your vlogs. I'm from Singapore, just some info for you (i know this is late). 1. The swimming pool on top of Marina Bay Sands hotel : there is a way to get up there but with no swimming pool access, just to be up on the observation deck. you can get tickets (but i think they restrict the number of visitors). you can also get tickets from the Sistic tickets website. 2. carrot cake : it is actually shredded raddish + flour (chinese way of saying carrot and raddish is similar. guess olden time people don't know English much, hence the translation to English becomes carrot cake). You can choose to put chilli or no chilli into the fried carrot cake. The sauce - strange, we don't usually have that, maybe additional chilli at the side. 3. the ice thing you ate is called Ice Kachang, a desert. The original version is basically topped with coloured syrup, red beans and corn. but there are other versions that can add different toppings to it. :)
Kara, whatever you're drinking that gives you such energy, pep and whatever else it is that makes you look so cute even on no sleep I want a case of it
What camera are you using? BTW, one of the best travel channels on YT right now. I can see a lot of growth for your channel. I also love your filming style; very short and sweet clips, with some really clever and subtle techniques and cinematic shots thrown in there. Keep up the good work!
I just happened upon your channel and watched the entire trek to Everest Base Camp. Awesome!! Decided to go back and watch a bunch of your earlier videos. I’m now hoping at some point you buy a mic for your camera that will help with the wind and some of the back ground noises. It’s really hard to hear you in much of the videos. But...this looks like it’s gonna be fun!
Nate you are such a good hubby to get Kara coffee all the time. You will make it to 23 years and counting like me and my hubby.
KL Mueller Or more maybe

Haha this is exactly why I'm here now! Check out Mike Chen - Strictly Dumpling and his recent Singapore experience if you haven't already.
Nate is so deadpan funny and Kara is so dorky. I’m loving it...
I'm watching all your vlogs from the start - they get better and more confident as they go along - loving them so far!
I found your channel not too long ago, and wanted to go back and see the changes y'all have made over the years. Finding a Mitch Hedburg reference has justified the hours I've spent watching y'all. That's just awesome!

The simultaneous screams from the pigeon fight killed me 😂😂😂
You are both such a sweet couple. And Nate always brings you a coffee to wake you up (Knowing you might be grumpy haha).

Hi Kara & Nate. Just follow your activity & I love it so much. Now I’m starting to watch from beginning of your video.

I don’t know what I expected from Singapore, but I didn’t expect so many big and beautiful trees! ❤️
I just found your vlogs and am starting from the beginning!! I love them so much, and just laughed out loud at the bird fight in this episode :)
Rewatching as I'll be in Chinatown, Singapore on New Years Eve! My first stop on a bus and Airbnb tour of SE Asia for 6-7 months.
When you both screamed in unison and ran from the pigeons I died 😂😂😂
Yes those violent pigeons are very scary. Ha Ha
All the food in Singapore is simply amazing!
It really is! You can't go wrong there :)
+ Elizabeth Travels I just watched your Singapore vlogs and they were awesome too!
Those calves dude. You must work on them. I wish my calves were that toned I am such a fatty. Great video. New subscriber. Just subbed today.

What is with the 73 dislikes? Seriously, they are just sharing their love for food and travel. What is wrong with that? SMH :(
must be Malaysian.
Eco hippies
Some people just hate seeing other people having a fun time, so they leave a 'dislike' and then get on with their sad, miserable, and lonely lives!
They're jealous
it's the music LOL
when they go to ION's food republic but didn't try their pratas👏👏 and when they didn't eat chili crabs. thats like singapore's most iconic food.
Kara is such a cheerful girl whom i like to travel with! U guys are very sweet couple! Good luck to both of u!
Liked just for Kara's dance into the lounge!
I walk around that area literally almost every day! It's cool seeing you guys trying our food haha :)
My favourite part is always watching you both try different street foods.
Especially kara 😂❤️
Just got back from Singapore yesterday - watching your old blogs is so fun :)
The squeaking sound in the park is actually crickets and the park was used in the war. The "majestic" door too.
Americans eating ice kachang. Just what i needed so satisfying
Love you guys! I started off watching the videos of your Trans-Siberian train ride and liked it so much I decided to watch all of your videos from the beginning. Can't wait to see the rest.

What a great channel. Thanks for bringing us to Singapore
I'm in love with you two!!! Great vlogs...keep them coming!!
Aww so glad you like them :)
I don’t understand why they offer food and nap rooms but kick you out after 3 hours. That’s a pretty short nap if you take time to eat...
Kathy Somers I think because they are not actual members of the lounge club they were in. You can also pay with miles or per day and thats probably why they can't stay al long as they want.
I've done it on an 8 hour layover and it helps a lot when you are tired and hungover lol. And I believe sometimes you can charge for additional hours?
Future Kara and Nate from 2023 who were in Singapore have me looking at this.... They went swimming in the boat infinity pool after all
Started watching a few months ago. Just recently went to the beginning and have been watching. Still have a ways to go!
Singapore Chinatown got one of the best street food in Asia. Food is really great
I live in Singapore and we have a a lot of traditional food to eat and sg rains a lot nowadays and it is mostly sunny
Ais Kacang, ABC and Cendol are life savers in Singapore and Malaysia. So cooling.
