Greeting from Indonesia. Personally I've been curious about Romania after 1989 Bloody Revolution. Excuse me for regenerating the dark past. Such a unique country due to its national identity as Latin Island among Slavic Sea (much like Madagascar the Austronesian Island among African Sea); not to mention the name, "Land of Roman Citizen [progenies]". Such a gorgeous country and good-looking people...
I visited Romania for 4 days which 3 of them where in Bucharest. I loved the city so much and i honestly think that it's underrated. It definitely worth the visit and i loved the country because i think it's developed and chaotic at the same time. For me as a person who comes from a 3rd world country and i lived in Germany for a while i think Romania is a mixture of both. Bucharest is simply amazing i had loads of fun...people are nice (although i could not speak with many of them since not a lot of people don't speak English) ..food was cheap even in fancy 5 stars restaurants! Cheers from Palestine.
I don't know what kind of people you have come across that they didn't know English. Romania is top 10 best English speaker countries in the world(if we are talking about countries which don't have English as an official language). The old people are in general the only ones who don't know English.
a beautiful vibrant city with a lot to see,old town, aka lipscani is where the cafes n shops are, the parcs are spectacular!, the food is great, and the people are wonderful, a great spot for a holiday!
Great video! I'm in Bucharest now and I recognized a lot of familiar tropes. The rollerblading and excessive PDA in parks being two of them. I really enjoyed the people shots, too.
Tips: consider adding a small caption to ID the locations specially the parks. Also please add the month of the year that filmed it; would be great. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to visit Bucharest in the Spring.

I was there, August 2018. It’s still quite undeveloped & natural. Young people are friendly & helpful to visitors & speak English! This could once again become “the Paris of the East.”
It seems very beautiful and rich. I have already met two people from Bucharest in US. Both left me bad image about the country. That's why they moved to USA. I realize they were completed wrong.
it's a very beautiful country and rich but many romanians like only to complain. they are born as haters ;-) they mostly complain that they don't have wages of thousands of euros monthly for any shit job..
You have to keep something in mind. A lot of Romanian immigrants that are now in the States, fled during the communist times, or immediately after the regime fell. They easily could get to the US by applying for asylum at the US embassy. Romania was a wreck back then, no wonder they have so many bad memories of it.
Too many of the people from Romania you meet in the US aren't Romanian they are gypsies and they are walking breathing bad images. Don't confuse gypos and Romanians. Sure the gypos call themselves Roma or Romani but that's to confuse the gullible who conflate gypsies and Romanians.
***** if you want to come and seek gypsies, you'll find alot of them for sure in every city in Europe, in Bucharest too. If you want for example to find islamic religious police in London, for sure you'll see them. I can continue with the examples, but i think you got the idea.
+rusoaica1 sow what?how do you look? like Angelina Jolie?they cames from North of India is normal to look like a indians..what a great thing you told...im so glad , to read your idea...you wanna tell us,the peoples of bucarest ,have giepsys, and you must to sublien this by one manner that thing...what a shame,to be that fals, and the make indirect offens to samething, who dont have nothing in comun with this video...missis rusian
I've always wanted to go to Bucaresti. I am from Los Angeles. It looks like it has a lot of potential, but a few things could be tweaked in the city planning to make it look just a little big better. A little too much concrete and strange gardening. You can really see how much foreign influence exists now as in much of the world, a lot of signage in English and a bunch of fast food. Hopefully I can make it there soon.
+pumasgoya A few? A lot. Tragically the communist left a huge impact on the city and even more tragic after the communists the main influence on the city's architecture has been.... corruption. Officials paid by the highest bidder to make room for anything that makes money, commercial billboards, malls etc. meanwhile stuff of historical value get demolished or blocked from view by a new modern building placed in the wrong location. Also, there's construction work that sometimes isn't needed or that takes too long compared to the initial timetable. It takes a lot of effort to see the beauty of Bucharest and to tap into its potential. It's terribly neglected.
Thats right the most beautiful country and women,,nr 1 country in the world,,in everything,,,the best place on this earth, with the best women, food, culture, religion, food ,,,,,everything,,,and the SMARTEST people on this earth. ROMANIA nr 1

Amazing. Beautiful country ! Sometimes I wish when my country of birth (India) will ever become like this - clean roads, sidewalks, disciplined citizens . Well, its sad when I realize that it will never become one because of the population .
+Gypsy Guy The population is no obstacle to what you described. Any population can become civilized. Considering the history of Europe, what India needs is industrialization, higher productivity, a stronger government that is funded by a higher economy, an efficient not corrupt government that cares at least about the prestige of the country, if not the happiness of the citizens themselves, and investments of said government into the country: schools in particular, but also infrastructure and technology. It's really culture and technology that is the key.
