    Burtons voice in concerts was always like a slot machine, sometimes fine, sometimes really bad. But during the Obsolete years 98/99 he was on his peak.

      He was potentially even better in 2004 after having a break imo. Look up the Rome show.

    I understand the absolute pounding that singing in this genre of music must place on his vocal chords - but damn I wish Burton could still sing like this...

    Seems to be a great place for a live show.
    Scenary gives good sound from the instruments, as well as Burton's voice (however, all of them gave a perfect show).
    For some reason I perceive this place has good settings for this kind of events.
    Excellent!

      It is a great place. Only can fit about 2000 people in there and the sound is incredible. Very intimate. I live 45 minutes away and I missed this show. Bummer.

  • @zFFXz
    @zFFXz 9 лет назад +4

    I figured it out: Burton is literally screaming on the Obsolete record, and not the right way. You can hear his voice strain at 2:48. That's my hypothesis on why Burt's vocals now don't sound so great. He was screaming the wrong way in this record (And a little in Demanufacture, but it was mixed with the right kind of growls to help prevent such strain) and it affected it cleans later on (you can see his live voice sharply decrease from Digimortal and on.)

      +Joe Sheto Vocal compression isn't easy, and there's a major difference between that and what guys like Burt do lol. This was just an awesome day for his voice really.

    well when you go to a live performance, the show is what is the best. I mean bands are good live, and some are bad, but usually their music is never half as good as it is in studio. Usually because they get tired between songs, maybe the singer or other member is a little off his or her game, and its not being remastered. Its just not as good live to watch it on video, the only live i would watch was in person.

  • @gabenine

  • @Kreedogger
    @Kreedogger 10 лет назад +2

    I have had the personal pleasure to say that this is the very first band I have seen live. 1998.. I was 14 .. they opened up for Rob Zombie.. and monster magnet..(booooo to both compared to this band) I was lucky enough to catch a cd that was thrown out ( had edgecrusher and shock on it) R. Zombie was cool.. but I don't listen to rob zombie and I don't listen to shit ass monster magnet. 16 years later... I Listen to FEAR FACTORY. im so pleased to hear that they have squashed their quarrels and they are reconciling. It would be surreal to see them together again in concert. Wolbers is badassssssssssss. (im a bass player BTW.... Edgecrusher blew me away.. AN UPRIGHT BASS????!!)

    I dont understand the guitarist adding what sounds like out of tone out of place weird harmonics during the chorus. This version I woke up with in my head, I know Im not hearing things. Why does he do that? The only good version Ive found is from 1998 where he doesnt do that.
