Thanks. I AM 2/4. As child I was told that I have to socialize and not be shy. And the more pressure I felt to socialize the more anti-social I became. I always thought there was something bad with me. Human design helped me to accept myself and not force myself to socialize against My will.
So wonderful to hear this Isabel. Absolutely, there is nothing wrong with you. It is entirely natural for the 2nd Line to be shy and to close off from others sometimes. You need your hermit time! :)

I’m also 2/4 and this could’ve been written by me. I didn’t want to engage with people when I was a child and when I was forced to, I became very withdrawn.
I'm 2/4 and am learning to work with my energy, and I see how others give advice that they think is best, but I love myself and can in fact be the one to help them instead 🙏 I've come to learn to trust my own energy and to love myself. And it feels good accepting invitations that are right for me, and feeling wanted! I think a lot of projector's problems come from self-love because of the social norms that were pushed on us as 'normal' in childhood. When reality is actually so much different than people were taught! ♥ We can trust our own guidance.
This is very relatable indeed! As a 2/4 Generator, I remember as a child when we had guests at the house, after a certain point I'd say "Goodnight!" and put myself to bed. I instinctively knew when I had enough social time :)
Haha I recognize the shyness! I was criticized and shamed as a child, people got jealous of my talents. So I hid, it did not feel safe. Now, as a grown up I’ve focused on healing and supporting myself and my inner child into safety. And now I’m slowly, step by step, stepping out. Sharing more of me, and my natural healing abilities, gifts and talents, which I wasn’t aware that I had for so many years. Thank you for this video Richard! It feels supportive ✨🕊️
Thank you. You might consider that a 2. 4. Is receiving the emotional energy around them constantly and need to protect themselves from being drained by too many at once.
It is so easy to be overwhelmed by the emotional trauma of others all at the time.

That's what my life has been like. I'm about to be 40 and still have a childlike vitality. Love fun and exploring, being happy with people. Everything I'm good at I didn't have to learn.
I just recently found out about his. Now I have a better innerstanding as a 2/4 of why I have expressed my creativity in so many different ways, but never followed any to a level providing financial success etc. I always get bored and move on to something new. Well, also I have little interest, skill, or patience for the business end. Also have a strong aversion to being locked into one single path. There’s far too much to learn, create, and experience to limit myself too much.
I’m a 63 year-old 2/4 manifestor who has recently retired from language arts/humanities. I found your video explanation a balm for my soul.
I’m so DEEPLY grateful.
I’ve heard other descriptions and there’s been the head nod and “sure, sure,” but yours dropped inside.
When I’m at home in solitude creating, mulling, taking care of the wild animals, I will begin to challenge myself and chide myself for not being out in the world offering/supporting/challenging. Then-when I’m out in the world I’m so completely committed. Then drained. I feel like a fire-starter, not a fire maintainer.
Time to return to solitude.
Can you explain what you mean by “externalizing?” Does that mean making manifest?
All my friends say you could do this, that, this other, etc. But I don’t want to begin something I can’t sustained.

I am a Mani emo 2-4 woman and naturally gifted since ... I am born. Growing up with a secretly jealous mother (with open ego) and an absent dad (both with open emo center) I had to repress my emotions and couldn't get the wisdom out of their wavy process. I was too gifted and felt guilty about that.
I started to fly from home at a early age and committed 3 suicides (the first was a calling for help and the two others were serious pragmatic operations to get me straight to the cemetery as it would have clinically been for anyone else).
Had NO friends. Everyone admired me but never helped me or even talked to me. I felt so sad and guilty about my situation. I felt like shit (while being the best pianist, the best scholar, the best dancer, the cleverest one, blabla). Of course I have been abused hard... till a kind of Death (severe intoxication). But Sun, Saturn and Jupiter in 47 are crazy players and got me back to life.
Since that Death, I came back to life and society through a brilliant career as an academic. But I still feel I am unable to find the good person or to hear the good calls.
Hearing the call is still too close to "responding" like a generator.
Since 2019, I ve withdrawn to countryside, living in the cave.
And this is a beautiful one: forests, rivers, endless loneliness.
I am not able to go back to the mundane and the small talk and the pseudo spiritual ones. I only enjoy myself....with the feeling that something's amazing and surprising is going to be externalized. Something that has no name yet.
BTW, I love your posts and you are the one who really got me into HD in a light and playfull way. Thank you !
Hi Hélène, It sounds like you would beenfit from a reading with me. Each of us has a particular environment that is correct for us, perhaps, despite the beauty, you are in the wrong environment. Regarding your lack of friends, again we would need to explore your chart together and see where the opportunities may be for growing a nourishing network. Thank you for sharing. I am also a 2/4 Mani, and have had a challeneged journey with being gifted. It's helpful just to see a bit of someone else's story. I'm sorry for the abuse, that's shite. I hope the natural beauty where you are begins to fill in some of the gaps.
Thank you Richard... i just had my daughter stop by yesterday with her new partner thay she wanted me to meet and her new gal was very interested in me pulling her charts... wow WHAT an AMAZIN woman she is. She has so much potential and spirit in her. I sent her this VIDEO which I actually have never watched because she is the very first 2/4 I've ever had ask me to look up her design. And as my 3/5 EGO projector self... it's like a kid in a candy store feeling. Just visiting with her for 2 hours prior to even pulling her chart up made me feel like a kid again. I really wish I could meet more 2/4s
Kinda made me feel like I was more correct and warm fuzzies just sitting and talking with her.
I really thought she was a Projector becuase I felt so connected and happy and really enjoyed her presence and here I came to find out she is a pure generator.... WOW that took me a back.
Very interesting seriously. I hope she finds use from her own human design journey but I think she already knew... she was like looking for confirmation. And I find that lovely.
I just feel so happy still today for her being bumped into my LIFE and my daughters as well.

I’m a reflector 2/4 just had my HD done this week. I’m 47 and can now understand my self a bit better having the two moons a day etc .
This hits home. You- without even knowing me- seem to understand who I am better than my own family ever will. My dad was very extroverted and enjoyed pushing me into uncomfortable experiences in athletics and in performing arts. It made me very self conscious. I love to express myself and to connect but only on my time and in my way. And mostly I am a hermit and I did close and reopen FB a few times haha. :)
As one of human designs original teachers Thankyou for continuing this legacy for everyone. And as someone who’s been aware of human design since 2013 now I’m still learning and seeing new things so Thankyou.
It is a joy to help in the journey of emergence. Yes, the learning continues as HD is a living knowledge. :)
My ex is 2/4, Mani Gen. Growing up he had no friends. As a teen and adult he became the other extreme, apparently.
He is so overly extroverted when hes "on" and so "leave me alone and dont make any noise" when off.
We used to be best friends until he got bored and wondered off to 'sort another pile' 😂😉
I’ve leaned so much from your videos and love this one. I’m 53 and still playful and fun like a child, And absolutely hate the spotlight. My natural talent is helping and guiding others and attract people to me that need help, this energises me but I also need alone time. Wanted to be a healer but Feeling not good enough stops me doing it as a career. Very stubborn but I’d put that down to being a Taurus

That was my favourite line, long before i heard of human design. a friend of mine told me that i am a "manifestor 2/4".

I just became aware of the Human Design method/info yesterday. NEVER heard of this practice before. I'm a Manifestor- 2/4- Triple Split-Emotional-Solar Plexus- Informer that wants to stay away from Anger. NO WONDER I've ALWAYS felt "different"! 😀 Going to research more videos to understand the basics/language then hopefully will be able to book a proper reading with you Richard. SO MUCH makes sense to me now (where Astrology alone couldn't fill in the blanks). It appears that this modality will help me know how to navigate/work with the disconnects. My instincts are saying....."When the student is ready....the teacher will appear." And here you are.....🙏 Feeling Very Grateful!

Thank you. You made my day. Human Design has been the most useful information that I have found in understanding myself. It has allowed me to forgive myself from punishing me because I may have offended someone without my knowledge. Has happened all my life. Now I feel peace about it.
Laughing 🎉 You would be doing it even without being paid!! Recognize! I’ve finally found those parts, including singing and supporting emotional healing when sharing breathwork sessions.
Then I just start to sing, without even knowing I could do that type of singing, but it flows naturally and I love it. And people say they felt very deeply touched, and still there’s a part of me often not believing it after, and feeling fear of not being good enough. Interesting (and uncomfortable) to observe. And yes, I recognize the playfulness!! It’s my favorite thing to do, just okay. And laugh. And my new found passion where I now focus on building a career feels like that, playing 😂

Very helpful, especially the romantic part, as it clarifies a lot. As one who likes to go forward when it feels good and takes a lot of initiative I let myself get disappointed at times when there is the cave thing happening. I find it very hard to deal with as it feels like a thin line on when to give space and when to come up for your own needs and say that you would love to be invited in more often. A red wire throughout my life.

Oh my. I’m a 2/4 MG. I can’t tell you how many times a man has come onto to me and wanted commitment too soon. You always hear about males being commitment phobic. But I’m a woman. I don’t think I’m avoidant, especially, but I want time to figure out what I’m feeling about someone. This video has helped me understand that need. Also, I’ve always said that I have a very strong “play ethic.” 😄

Thank you for this video! I also got the free report from your website which was very helpful! My only question is regarding the "pro tip" you have for 2/4s, about how we shouldn't leave a job, relationship, etc unless we have secured the next. I know many people who do that (no idea what their HD profile is), but as a 2/4 I never understood how can they be in the state of not wanting to be with someone but staying with them until they find the next. I kind of find it unfair, as in if you don't want to be with someone it's better for both parties if you just end it. Right? Apparently I'm wrong? Out of all of your videos and the whole report that's the one thing I have an objection with 😅 Please advice 😊🙏

I might be a bit impatient now, cause just heard about HD 18 Dec 2022.
The same day I was kicked out of a group (without warning) on fb who didn't like me speak from the heart.
A group I felt safe with. And it was damn traumatic for me.
Read between the lines, I'm beyond anger. I am almost healed and now walk around like a question mark, but at least with a smile on my face.
So..Don't you also think, Richard, that this is problematic and somewhat an unfortunate mix? 2/4 and being a Manifestor.

Hello Mr. Richard! I am a 2/4 Emotional Projector who doesn't know what their call in life is 😟 I really don't know what I'm good at and most of the things people around me tell me I exceed at aren't really what I feel interested in and it confuses me a lot... I am also a more laid back artistic type of person and both of my parents are Manifesting Generators so they just rush me to be an adult and get a 9-5 job asap but I don't feel ready for adulthood at all >< Feeling so very lost and I am graduating high school this year! Time passed by so fast and here I am still feeling like I'm in middle school haha :(
I’m also an emotional projector 2/4 and I have felt this way as well. Maybe you are a laid back artist. That may be apart of your calling in life. Or maybe you are a “jack of all trades” you can do whatever you want but the best part about being a 2/4 is the alone time! So that you can discover who you truly are and what REALLY interest you. I’m learning that we should use our alone time wisely to prepare for all of the “invitations” we will get when we’re ready for them.

I don't know if it will show if zi have the 12.1 but so much of what you wrote resonates so much. Navigating my moods and constant chatting mind is a daily practice and I've relied heavily recently on my yoga/meditation practice. Breathwork. Mantra. It has helped me in times of darkness and uncertainty. Thank you again for your guidance and wisdom🙏
