Been loving these arena runs, hope he continues to climb. It's hard to find competitive streamers who can laugh off RNG and not get salty.

I've stopped playing for years now, but watching these arena runs have been reminiscent of the old days. I hope you keep these runs going! These videos are the last connections of my hearthstone days!
ALWAYS do F2P runs when possible. They're some of the best content on the channel, and one of the few things I consistently watch here, LoL.

Thought it'd be worth mentioning that my Mage average for my current #1 Americas streak was actually lower than my total average. It was one of my worst classes on my EU streak. I believe Mage is heavily overrated at the top level - it's inconsistent due to its reliance on excessive random and specific power cards/combos. However, it has a high rate of high-rolls, so most players will more often do well with it than other classes.
In any case, congrats Trump on the placement!

Just had a 0-2 arena game against a warrior that played a topdecked Fires of Zin-Asari on turn three, coined an Ozumat on turn 4, into King Whatshisface that drew 3 cards. Very cool
The third game against the paladin felt like such a beat down. 😂

I don't usually comment, but please do a new f2p series. I'm new to hearthstone, it's very entertaining and educational watching you climb as an f2p player like myself, albeit miles better haha

Trump idk if you read/listen to comments at all but I would really love to see you play the elder scrolls legends again. It has been stripped of support but the game is still running and I really dont think it ever got the chance it deserved. Theory crafting in tesl is so fun especially with my favorite card from any card game which is odirnan necromancer

Is anyone continually getting paired against opponents with their own class? My last two runs have solely been mirror matches for some reason.

I don't see the point in doing "F2P" runs anymore. Trump has already shown in the last couple times he did it that you're able to get a meta deck pretty quickly as a brand new player, so what's the point? What is there to showcase?

Wouldn't it make sense that there are better players in Europe, since they have a higher win ratio and therefore it's more competitive in the higher ranks?
A higher win ratio on the leaderboards just means there's more variance in the player pool. Can't conclude if it's better or worse just based on win-ratio

Higher average here doesn't mean worse players but higher variance.
As it is self-evident, all-round bad player base would score no more or less wins among itself than all-round good player base. In the bad player population the top end would also be relatively bad while in the good player population the lower end would also be relatively good. Thus if the populations play among themselves there should be no difference in nominal average wins although the 'good players' needed higher skill overall to reach the same nominal average number.
Higher average in the top ranks means the European population has a sharp edge. There are more people who are clearly superior to the average player, thus can consistently win more.
The good alternative: Europe has a lot of bad players, thusly the sharp peak is only as good as the US peak despite higher average wins.
The bad alternative: the average European is no worse than the average American. High number of average wins among top ranks means the European servers have a high number of superior players. Trump is lucky to play on US server as he wouldn't place top 100 in Europe.

I don’t get it. Trump went from doing arena runs, brand new F2P series, and various other Hearthstone content to nothing at all in less than a year? I know he played the game for years but it’s strange how vast the change was. He went from pumping out almost daily content to nothing, nothing at all. And in his “farewell Reddit” post, he said he would still do unedited card reviews but he hasn’t (I guess he did that one time when he posted that but he claimed he would continue to do so).
There most be something about streaming as a job that I just don’t understand. It seems like people reach this point where they just can’t or won’t do it anymore. With how lucrative it can be, I’m just shocked that these guys who are under 40 are “retiring”. What’s the game plan for the rest of their lives? Just to chill? Do nothing? Jesus, even if I didn’t need the money I’d still work. I want to, you know, make my days matter. To impact society in some kind of meaningful way. Guess people don’t share that value consistently.

Love the Arena vids :) but I find it so silly when Trump just adds up the stats of minions who summons minions lol, especially when the summons have 1 health. That's not how you should evaluate stats. Health and attack build on each other only ON THE SAME MINION. If there was a 6-mana 1/8 summon an 8/1, you shouldn't evaluate it as a 6-mana 9/9 because it doesn't reflect the actual weakness of the card. The 8 attack goes away with only 1 damage, and the 8 health is nearly useless because it offers no long-lasting value since the minion has 1 attack. Please bro you are smarter than this, stahp
