    Oh you go Tim … us older folk used baling wire since that’s what we used on alfalfa square bales .. Round bales had not been introduced.. Baling wire.. the original farmers duck tape..

      As long as he's paid the subscription fee, the tractors and combines already have the ability to do that, utilizing AFS Sync. In practice, though, it's not really something that most guys bother with.

    • @daveevans2710
      @daveevans2710 Месяц назад +3

      I thought the same thing. The top of the bagger is lower on that side, I figured if they loaded over the high side they wouldn't be able to see as well. The hopper is designed for left hand unloaders.

    I don't understand all the hate towards farmers especially the ones on you tube this year they are trying to teach people about their farming life. If these don't like it then d don't watch it. I just wish these haters would go hate on the presidential election for the rest of the season!

    • @chrissyfrancis8952
      @chrissyfrancis8952 Месяц назад

      The haters don’t have a single clue about farming. They’re just products of the climate change/environmentalists who think our farmers are destroying our planet. They’re the same ppl who want cows eliminated & electric tractors. How is the energy going to be produced to charge electric tractors? They don’t of those things. They think farmers are using gallons & gallons of toxic chemicals in the fields, contaminating soil & water. That’s no true.
      If they want to fight a real issue, then they should be concerned that the FDA allows chemicals & cancer causing ingredients in our food & medicine. Not to mention sugar & fat content. Red dye no 5 is toxic. Other countries have banned food like Froot Loops, Doritos & many others bc they’re poisoning us. The food industry makes us sick so big medicine & big Pharma can keep making money. They’re all owned & operated by the same ppl.

    Thanks for your excellent video.

    Some farmers are now dumping their wheat into semis on the go instead of dumping into grain carts. It is worth thinking about and trying out since the dollars affect the bottom line.
    There are advantages such as less fines in the grain from less augering without a cart, less fuel used, less manpower required, less wear on machinery, more profit etc.
    Other crops such as potatoes, sugar beet, corn silage and some vegetables are directly dumped from the harvester on the go into trucks instead of being dumped into a cart.
    Check out this video titled, 2024 Crop Report - Box Elder

      @tmlf1239 Месяц назад +5

      Sorry, but no it's not something we would ever consider. Vegetable harvesting, such as potatoes, often does use a truck (never a semi though) driving next to the harvester. But generally this is because the harvester has no on-board storage and drives very slow. Horrible ruts and compaction result, but deep tillage is just a fact of life with such crops, which breaks up the compaction. But for grain harvest, no one would want to on-the-go into a semi. Way too much compaction and it's very hard to drive a semi at the right speed next to a combine. There's no way I'd drag a set of Super B trailers around the field. If you've ever driven a semi you'd understand at least part of the reason. Pulling even 20 tonnes in a soft field is no fun at all. We used to occasionally unload on the go into tandem trucks. But it's just a horrible pain. A grain cart is far, far better, and that's what everyone uses. More nimble, can go fast or slow easily, and does not compact the soil. I even have a neighbor who does potatoes and no longer uses trucks in the field. Instead he has a big potato cart, not unlike a grain cart, and uses that to shuttle all the potatoes to the edge of the field where they are sorted and loaded directly onto a semi to haul back to storage facilities.

    As hard as they work I don’t see what they drive around in matter u have 16-18 year old kid riding around in 80,000$ trucks if u don’t have a good truck it just something else to work on

    Dumping semis in stubble is dangerous fire hazard and you plug you radiators with fines from harvesting and stubble. Bad idea keep trucks out of the field.
