This is exactly what I needed, husband bought mine for mother's day and I've been so intimidated, now I feel more informed and way less scared of the thing!😂
Omg, my husband bought me a heat press about 2 years ago during covid I was so overwhelmed and didn't know how to start. Your information is os helpful. I am now ready to start projects. Thank you so much
Oh and I LOVE how you can scroll through the video and it has headings on the topic you’re talking about so you know exactly where to stop. Sensational!
We just bought our first clamshell heat press that came with minimal instructions and were not sure how to use it. After watching this video we are now extremely confident and can't wait to put it to use! Thank you so very much!
This is the best video I have found about heat press machines... I wish life would come with a tutorial from her hahahaha, she explains so good and her voice is so nice. Thank you!!!
Just so you know...I am in love with you!! This was beyond thorough and I now have much less trepidation about buying and using my 1st heat press. You are a treasure to the HTV freshman class! ❤️
Omg no way! I think I flunked my freshman phase 3 times! I've had my heatpress over a year and always get information overload when I Google it. So I'm not the only one. I'm stuck at the brands. What's a good ink brand, a good printer, and brand of heat transfer paper to get? It's for mostly cotton shirts. I Google it but again there is so much various ways. I just want brightness and durability I guess.
I am researching different heat presses, I have an easy press but its time to upgrade to something a little more practical for me. Making T Shirts for a hobby went into a small business. I've watched a few videos on different heat presses and this is by far my favorite. I never comment on videos but You got to the point and kept my attention the whole time! Thank you!!
I have a clam shell. My husband found it for me on Amazon and paid $125 for it. My son n law made a cabinet for it to sit on. I have never had a problem with it. I love it!!!
I am so glad you mentioned that about the table height. I have broken my back and now have long lasting problems from that. I had an easy press because I could lift it without problems. I finally have a permanent place to store a full size heat press. I was a little worried about the difficulty of kicking it on place so I will make sure to try out a lower table.
good video. I just subscribed. I made teflon heat press pillows for 2 years for a friend of mine in the heat press industry. He retired. The same guy just sold me his heat press (15x15) , a Cameo 3 cutter with Bluetooth, a Cricut Easy Press heat press ( the 12x10 size) i guess you'd call it " hand held" and a bunch of vinyl . I already made a design and applied it to a practice shirt no problem, I'm so excited about this. Lots to learn : )
You are AMAZING! This was so informative for a beginner. I had no idea how to do the pressure test or to fold the substrate to find the middle seam. Thank you so much!
What a wonderful tutorial! I bought my first 15 x 15 Clamshell Heat Press and needed a tutorial to start using it. Thank you for teaching! I was totally unaware I needed additional tools to ensure my designs come out perfect. Again, thank YOU!!!

This is by far the best video I have watched, well explained with the heat press machine. Now I'm just having a headache on which heatpress to choose from
Thank you so much for this. Lot's of good information. Heat press seems so simple, and it is but it helps to know about the pillows, the paper and the pads. I appreciate it.
Just bought my first swing away heat press after my Cricut easy press needed replacement in only 2-3 months. Not many videos out there on how to use the heat press and the different styles so appreciated your thoroughness, your honesty is great because reality is we do things all differently and it was nice to see the reasons for those pads! LOL Seriously, vendors do such a poor job with the manual/directions as you know. Thanks again!
I’m very interested in starting to make t shirts, towels or anything else with a press. This was super informative. One question, what do you use to create the heat transfers?
I am just starting out with sublimation and heatpress with vinyl. Finding your videos very helpful. Had a SNC since they came out in the UK and done loads with it but now its time to do what I always wanted to do. Late as always compared to others but willing to learn about sublimation and vinly heatpressing. Thank you so much, you have given me loads to think about,
Thanks for the thorough video! I've just started looking for a heat press after having so much trouble getting htv to stick with the easy press and I'm practically laying on the easy press for pressure.
Amazing video! May I ask which Brand of Heat Press you're using in the video? Also, which printer did you use to print the design on the vinyl? Thank you so much for your help! :)
Thanks for the fast reply! I trust your advice but was just wondering since the manufacturer doesn't mention/recommend it. Sounds like it's very much recommended but not mandatory.
You are so amazing. I really learned alot watching this detailed video. My brother bought a heat press and started making really cool stuff so I decided to follow suit. My heat press came in a couple of days ago and he has been helping me with what he has learned. I still enjoy watching videos because I still tend to learn things I havent experienced yet or even thought about. I learned ALOT from this. I love your shop, detailed, attitude and your enthusiasm. You really need your own show. Thanks again. Oh and I also enjoyed your sense of humor. Look forward to following you as a new subscriber.

This is great! I just got a heat press for Christmas and didn't really know much about it (other than what it does) so thank you for this tutorial! I'll be sure to order the pillows! Thank you!
Thank you👍 very nice detail video we love it. At first I thought my machine was broken cuz it would take so long to heat up I've been looking for someone to explain this and you did a great job 👍much success👍 will be enjoying your videos and thank you👍👍👍
Can I ask what brand and style of your heat press? I’m currently looking for a press in this price range. Thank you for all you videos!!! They have helped me so much on my journey to crafting!!!!😀😀
Thank you, this was very useful. LOL I wish I had seen this yesterday, as I bought a heat press last night, and now I am wondering if I should have bought a clamshell instead of a swing away...well, live and learn. I will bolt it well to an end table :) Thanks for the tips!
Thank you for all the videos. I've been looking at all the others and didn't learn a damn thang lol. You must been sent by GOD. Now i can stop crying and having a breakdown. Thank you again. Your the best you do awesome work

Very detailed! Thank you so much! I'm looking at starting my own business and buying one..the only thing I'm lost at is how and where to get the logos/letters etc. I'm going to start with just t shirts but would love to get into mugs etc..but if I wanted a butterfly or a "How You Doing?! @@DesignBundles Dawn Thanks for replying..well that's what I'm trying to figure out. So I need to download a design program too to add text? Isn't there a way to do it all at once on one site? I'm just trying to figure out how to bring it all together without 5 open doors when I only need 2 if that makes sense?

Thank you for all of the information that you provide! Your videos are very informative, well laid out and you present them so well! Please keep teaching us newbies!
Thank you. Do you have a video from start to finish on heat transfers. As in how to make a print? One color or two ect? What type of paper to use and where to purchase? I'd love to do this, however, need to know this information that may seem simple to you. Thank you.

Random question while I’m binge watching all the beginner videos haha. When pressing sublimation using the pillows, does the ink print onto them too? If so what can we do to stop that, or, clean them so it doesn’t transfer onto anything else. These tutorials are fantastic by the way.... I’m busy making all the notes. I’m in the U.K. so vendors & products aren’t as easy to come by but I’ve already started looking.
Awesome video! I totally ruined 4 pairs of shorts with thick seams because I had no idea about the pillows. Just ordered some on Amazon lol thanks for the tips! Do you post heat after peel?
Hey Daryl! I'm so glad to help. I am guilty of pressing again after peeling, but I think it's more paranoia than actual need. Hope this helps! ---Becky
I LOVED this video! So informative! I wish I would have watched it before I ordered my heat press, which is a swing away. I am having difficultly finding the right temperature, time and pressure with Cricut HTV for a heat press. I have always used their heat guide for their EasyPress 2, as that is what I have always used. I cannot find any directions about temperature, time and pressure for Cricut HTV with an actual heat press versus and Cricut EasyPress. Do you have any suggestions where to find this info? I have so much Cricut HTV. Siser is an easier place to find information for using an actual heat press with their vinyl. Should you lower temperature, and time with a big heat press? Thank you!
@@DesignBundles Thank you soooo much for the quick response🤗. It is a vevor 8 in 1, swing away. I’ll reach out to Vevor. Probably should have ordered directly from them for warranty purposes, but got it off Amazon, but hopefully that won’t make a difference with customer service. If I find out any info, I’ll let you know so maybe you can pass it along to your amazing viewer base🤗 who might have the same question.
I just got my heat press well just got my husband to put it together, and for now it is on a long white folding table that I use as my work area for tumblers. It’s that hard plastic white table a lot of people use at events. Now I’m not sure if I should use it on that surface as it is a swing one. I haven’t used it yet because I’m waiting on the Teflon sheets and pillows. I also just upgraded to a larger convection oven for sublimation tumblers that he is about to build a wooden table for it and my printers and cricut to sit on. I’m curious if I need to move the press to something like that instead of the hard plastic table? I’m planning to use it just for sublimation at this time. Do you have a tutorial for sublimation? I’m so scared to get to using it yet.
While I can't buy a heat press now and make due with my Esy Press, that may change in the future. This was very informative! Could you also do a video that talks about the attachments for things like mugs and hats? I'm not sure if they even are attachments or totally separate presses.
Hey there! I'll do what I can, but I don't currently have a press with multiple attachments and the one I did have before, I didn't have good luck with it. I'll add it to the list for sure! ---Becky
Help! I have looked and looked on amazon there are so many to choose from i want to start my business but i have no clue what brand is best and quality. I didnt hear you mention your brand ill watch again to see if i missed it... thanks so much
Thank you thank you thank you!!! Your information was soooo helpful!!! I was really struggling trying to decide what heat press to purchase. You answered all of my questions..... and even ones I didnt know I had!! haha!!
Hello ,I can close my heat press handle down but to clamp it down can i just adjust it by the knob at the back ? Not sure how this happened it just started doing this and now I have to stand be the heat press the whole time when I am doing any kind of heat pressing its not a automatic handle, I love your videos ! Please let me know of what you think I should do Thank you so much 😊
Wow, I didn’t know it was so easy! Thank you, I’m looking for a job right now and there was a custom printing tshirt place that’s hiring near me so I was hoping to learn it, glad to say quickest way to learn!
You were absolutely wonderful ( and funny) , thoroughly enjoyed it and I’ve learnt a thing or two. Just about to receive my swing away press and so happy with what you’ve mentioned. It has reassured me I’ve made the right decision. The Teflon sheets, are these the same as butcher paper? Can they be reused? And I must ask, have you burnt yourself with the clam at any stage? I was holding my breath at times ( 👌🏻👍 from Australia)
Wow, so informative. I am on a limited budget - basically nothing but I'm trying 2 turn this in2 a business cuz I just have fallen in love with crafting. You didn't say exactly why 2 not use an extension cord. I really do not have much of a choice cuz our back room which is office/crafting/ spare bedroom has limited outlets & my heat press- which is lift away - low end-. Why no cords?
Hi Barbra! The extension cord tip is just a safety precaution so it doesn't get closed in the heat press. You are always welcome to use what works best for you 😊
Hi thanks so much for this video..... So when you print your designs onto the tshirts or hoodies or whatever..... It can be washed over and over without the design being damaged or messed up right ? Thank you
Can I ask how long the cord is on the Walapress? I bought a Walapress 9x12 due to the size of my room, but I don't think I can't plug it into a wall plug in 🥺😞. I currently have a designated surge strip to plug in my printer and my press. (I have a easy press 2 right now) P.S - Thank you for your videos, they're so informative and helpful, I think I have watched a ton of yours over the past few weeks. Love them.
I know what you mean about the balance for the swing away models. Mine didn't fall, but almost, and it's hot as crap, so it still wasn't pretty almost burning me.
Hello, thanks so much for your video. I want to cure plastisol ink (silkscreen printing). Would you recommend using a heat press for this task? I'm finding conflicting information about this area. I really hope you've had experience with this or know of someone that has. Thanks again.
Great video. Question: the HTV clear sheet is not supposed to need an additional barrier - ie the teflon paper. I see the value of the paper, but is it really necessary?
Okay. I'm sorry. The story of the swing away in a wall sent me into hysterics 🤣Just the way you explained it. I would have been distraught as well! 😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks Shaundra! It was very distressing, I'm glad you feel my pain! 😂 Hopefully I'll save a few others from similar heartbreak! Thanks for watching! ---Becky

What heat press are you using? You have mentioned all the features I am looking for. Thanks for your help
Hey there! I'll post a link here for you. It seems the price has increased a little since I purchased a few years ago (what hasn't though, right? LOL). It's been a great press. Hope this helps! ---Becky

@@DesignBundles Thank you. Do you think the 16x20 is too big? I'm really having a hard time deciding. By the way I love your videos.
This is an awesome video, so thorough. Thank you so much for taking the time to teach newbies such as myself the ropes!:)
You're welcome, we're always happy to help!
Thank you for watching! 😊
Thanks so much for this video. It was very helpful.
You're very welcome! We're so pleased it was helpful! 🙂
Okay, YOU ARE THE BEST! Just got my HPN Signature Heat Press and it doesn't come with any getting starting documentation!!! Liked and subscribed!
Glad this video could help! 😊
Hello Lorraine!
You could prevent ink from getting onto the pillows by placing a piece of butcher paper over it. 😊
Very thorough, thank you.
Thank you!
Hey Jan! Which swing away are you using? Usually you can reach out to the customer support directly and the can help. - Dawn
Extremely helpful! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
You're just adorable and I love your tutorials! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. :)
---Becky
Yes, I got a five piece bundle, when you do I would love to learn it forsure..
Hey! Awesome vid! Can you link your clam shell heat press? Thank you!!😁
Hi Ryan! This heat press isn't currently available however, we do recommend the Stahls A2Z Swing away heat press! - Dawn
Loved the video... could you please send the link to or the name of the one your using... Thank you
Hey Jill, this heat press is the HPN Signature Series 15" x 15" Auto-Open Slide-Out Drawer from Heat Press Nation. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Thank you for the info...
Please let me know of what you think I should do Thank you so much 😊
Hey Alicia! You should check with the manufacturer because if it's troubles with the parts of the machine, they may be able to replace it. - Dawn
Wow, I didn’t know it was so easy! Thank you, I’m looking for a job right now and there was a custom printing tshirt place that’s hiring near me so I was hoping to learn it, glad to say quickest way to learn!
Thank you for sharing this one you have some good tips
Glad it was helpful!
I was holding my breath at times
( 👌🏻👍 from Australia)
Glad it was helpful! You can definitely reuse the teflon sheets or butcher paper!
You are always welcome to use what works best for you 😊
Do you have a Chart for heat press on Sublimation.
Love your video, where do you find the temp and time on your Heat vinyl.
Thank you.
Hi Dolores! Which brand of heat press do you have? Usually the press will have a heat chart for you! - Dawn
This was a really great video. Great job.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi thanks so much for this video..... So when you print your designs onto the tshirts or hoodies or whatever..... It can be washed over and over without the design being damaged or messed up right ? Thank you
Awesome info. Thank you
Are Teflon sheets a must? Can parchment paper be used as an alternative?
So knowledgeable. Loved this video!!! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! 😊
Love them.
Will any Laser printer work for print-outs on paper.
Can you also mention all the papers that will be needed. Thank you.
Video is very helpfull♡
I know what you mean about the balance for the swing away models. Mine didn't fall, but almost, and it's hot as crap, so it still wasn't pretty almost burning me.
Hello, thanks so much for your video. I want to cure plastisol ink (silkscreen printing). Would you recommend using a heat press for this task? I'm finding conflicting information about this area. I really hope you've had experience with this or know of someone that has. Thanks again.
your an amazing teacher!
thank you, your tricks & tips are amazing.
Thank you for doing this so clearly and patiently
Glad it was helpful! 😊
Great video. Question: the HTV clear sheet is not supposed to need an additional barrier - ie the teflon paper. I see the value of the paper, but is it really necessary?
If you feel like you don't need it you don't need to use it. At the end of the day every craft does things a little different
Okay.
---Becky
How do you mount your heat press down in order to keep it from tipping?
