Thats my kind of essence in my vault pvp but my bone spike has bleed effect and longer range with abnegation for knockup cc. 4 baron and 2 flagellant for more skill damage and effective cc. Gems are BSJ, COSF, BILE, TORMENT, PHxA and Frozen.
Nice build, I am still using it occasionally. I would recommend trying "jailer" build. Much more fun. It requires dash bonewall and enough bw duration increase to have bw always on. Soulfire is your only damage dealer. Another fun build requires high damage and.several corpse lance essenses paired w parasitic armor. When done properly it's one hit kill most of the time. I have tried cc immune ba. The problem is that ba and immunity disappear after one hit. In jailer build I use ba w dot reduction. I have also tried orbiting spikes ba w cc res shoulders. Much more durable. Still it vanishes if hit another necro's bw or pillar.
With gloom set ? I was thinking about it to be honest. A bit diffrently but I was wondering if its possible to build necro around all those damages mechanics. Definietly gonna test it.
@@vk.videos I have tried almost all set combinations. As jailer is a pure support build I am running 4pc vithu 2pc mountenbank. This way u will get almost no kills. The strategy is to maintain the wall at all costs. It takes some time to master proper wall placement.
Thanks for this - I switched spikes from bleed to the loss of control spikes after watching and am liking it in bgs, but I kept the bleed spikes for vault as they re different styles of pvp - I use the 4 piece barons for the party damage buff and 2 piece vithus for all pvp after playing around quite abit with different sets (I have chip).
Sure. Our play style determines what is best for us. I gave up bleed spikes since im useing shoulders to prevent CC with bone armor. So cc spikes works great for me and for my cc lock rotation.

Same old build. I've been playing necro since day one, and basically this IS our ONLY effective pvp build. There is the corpse lance build, but that's dicey for low to moderate res players. My number one complaint about necro is that the pvp build really hasn't changed since day one, and playing the character is beyond stale and boring in pvp. Meanwhile, they keep giving us grim scythe essences (a completely useless not thought out or properly designed skill) and minion essences, as if necro is a melee character (it is not) or as tho we should use minions in pvp (which is pure suicide). I keep wondering if Necro will ever be shown any love. Nice review tho.
Cant be sure because I did not play d3. But I guess they try to mix d2 and d3 necro what as you noticed does not work. If you compare any damage or survivability mechanics to other classes then necro is terrible. Just CC. Also i have not seen even once any serious whale who plays necro... shame. Lance build works only if you play against potato... And just as you said they are adding so many diffrent walls, scythes but those skills have no use in pvp. I was trying to use golem since 29% damage raduction and 10 % additional damage from all sources seem quite good but in general summons are to slow.
Also 4 baron is good as it will give to all party extra damage , as it triggers by any kind of control, u can test. Spikes are good with malluculose helmet also with shoulders with knock = more cc. But it's all like small changes general idea same, before used corpse lance build, but with new essence system necro is no longer good dmg dealer so this pillar build is better, less dmg but more help to team.
I agree but personaly for me the 20% damage window is to short. Its pretty wierd that dots get benefits from first bonus (poison, bleed, burn) but 20% increased damage does not occur for them. Just CC. Description is terrible for Baron set.
bloody reach and chip of stone with fear wraith and 2x empowered mages goes hard too. set them up to form a line and let the dice roll on there effect and keep stacking but also keep spread so they don't get one shot'd. lure people back to your mages and fear them and let chip of the stone with bloody reach compound with your mages as you run further back for yards.

I don't use the fear wraith form and instead play with the reduce attack and movement speed on the pants and it's devastating. I don't like the fear because it renders you less mobile (the cooldown is higher) and you are more tempted to go into contact with the enemy which I cannot afford with my resonance. Besides I don't have chip of the stone flesh so I don't really have to use it. In any case, I prefer to keep the distance, and be a pain in the ass with all my CCs and deal a massive amount of damage with the 4 pieces grace
Yeah personaly next thing i gonna test for myself is no wraith form and use 2 big skulls with fear. I exactly know what you mean by saying that some skills just push you in what is usually bad idea. Bone armor with cc immune is great though.
Do you have any experience comparing different invocations and cr that you might sacrifice to get the best ones? I use when attacked but sometimes my items are much weaker than those with max cr. What's your take on this?

As far as I know it works for blue, yellow and Orange mobs. Im not sure if it works for bosses. Personaly its to specific stat to use it in my case. However if you focus on pve only it might be helpful if you believe there is no better choice.

General idea of a build is great, but i would like to add. When you are playing support char you need to min max your stats in a way that that gives you most surviveability, meaning all paragon points in armor, hp and resistance, which renders you useless in pve. The other approach is to make cc glass cannon. Investing in your primary attack as much as possible, using 4p vithus and 2p shalbaas, offhand for extra dot on soulfire, this option also ehances your ult quite a bit, cause vithus and dmg oriented paragon makes it really powerfull.
@@andoramses regarding armor penetration, in PVP it is only effective when the player's armor pen stat is 2x versus the enemy's armor. If it's below double of enemy's armor, it is useless. Armor pen in PVE for low spenders or f2p is viable, but in PVP it's not. For low spenders or f2p, it is much better to spend it in Armor instead to increase survivability since you won't be fighting with an All-Whales team every BG match. You won't even be one shotted anymore versus 2K reso monks.
@@andoramses as what you've said, when a burst class like a Monk or DH or barb will catch you, you get easily killed or in other words 1-2 shots. If only you've raised your armor points, you will still survive even with a little bit of life left so you can still escape, and your character uptime increases. Your armor penetration stat is useless most of the time in PVP, since you're always escaping. And even with armor penetration stat, it also scales with how much you are over enemy's armor, that's why for armor pen to be effective, you need at least 2x vs enemy's armor. You just confirmed what I said.
@@John.Wick.69 i just want to add that it depends what crit chance someone has. Still there is pretty low chance to achieve higher armor pen than opponents armor. If you are in top 10 of your server then always average resonanse in your team is 4-5 k resonance. Players with such high reso usually have much more secondary stats to spend. However if someone really want to crit damage then easy way is to get it from reforge and magic bonuses.

Hey VK Let's talk about PvP setup for Necro. For now i am using 2 builds for PvP First one is exactly same like You show in this Video ( with off hand to Burn philar ) But secound one is more complicated With new set Eye of Banquet I sacrafise shiield to put off hand Big Skull with main hand chance for fear. If No shield here i using SPikes with damage over time and shouder CC for that.( to activate poison from set) In secound byild All 4 spells doing hard CC 😂 But no shield.... this is big sacrafise What do You think about second one build ( with new set 6 pieces)
Im experimenting with it as well. Just I dont realy like bleeding spikes... they have shorter range and quite weak dmg ... lets be honest. However I prepared myself 3-path spikes with range bonus from shoulders, big skulls in off hand and poison from primary in main hand. This is what I want to see in practice. But again there is no burn effect from phillar unfortunately and it stacks up set bonus pretty well ... so idea of 2 big skulls its quite ok however it does not help for new set that much.

For sure will try it today and will let You know how it looks in practice With bleed spikes is harder gameplay but there are 3 stacks to keep your oponent even longer in CC Burning Philar is a Big deal to do some dmg and easy apply Damage Over Time effect from set bonuses. Bleding spikes can do 2 x more dmg than triple spikes, but in time Bleeding spikes just need shouder essence to do CC - the bigest weaknes

Since I cant get exactly same environment for one skill its hard to judnge, however I believe that damage ultimately depends on your potency and if you Wear 2 pieces of baron. Otherwise its just two or 3 ticks. Obviously you cant Wear baron if you have full set of banquet. Also there is a lot good option to pick like 2 vithu , 2 Mountebank etc. Rly hard to find perfect silution and everything is good and bad for diffrent situation. So 2 big skulls are great , but obviously you cant burn phillar. Bleeding spikes with cc even if you skip dmg its still very good skill to interupt oponents but you cant use shield anymore. To much trade offs...

One time You play with Skulls, One time with burning Philar, etc For PvE also a lot good ( ofc summoner ) builds to do. I have awakened main hand and off hand. so Big skull can do 20% more dmg. ( with Fear in main hand ). This is funny to see people dying Out of Your range xD ( close to 2 k res so not that much in PvP )
Bone shield some say its pointless as it only absorb 25k dmg ......I've seen recently none of top necro on my server use it ...otherwise top tier setup
They are so wrong about it. First of all damage absorbtion is additionaly reduced with block chance. And shoulder essence gives you immune to most of monk's necros's CC. Best you can do is test it by yourself. Whats more you can heal yourself no matter how many dots on you. Actually im top necro even though im n00b playin mobile haha. As always... decision is yours!
Most top tier necros are running drifters fare off hand with communal rib main hand and dropped shield a long time ago, at least that’s how it is on my server.
I'm 1k res too, and it's very effective! Only difference are gems and green set items, but you can totally make it work well nonetheless. I always have at least the 2 piece Feasting Baron's for the +30% loss of control, and then whatever else I can put together. And for gems cheaper gems, I recommend the 1 star Pain of Subjugation and the 2 star Abiding Curse. Then throw in whatever damage and defense gems you have.
Im only 1k reso too and yes it is very effective. Just do on survival and cc build instead of dmg since we only have low resos. It will surely piss off those hi reso enemies when you totally in control and let those hi reso teammates of yours kill them and even luckily kill them with your continous, bleed and poison dmg.
I think it is. I have 1.59 k reso. Just keep in mind that you dont want to do everything to be better in pvp. Still huge part of a game is pve and this is something you need to do first.
hi, I'm paragon 280. I was wondering if u could tell me how to team or match up in battle ground FAIRLY, everytime I play I'm always with players over 10k combat rating or paragon 500.
Thats why there is like 5% necro on BG. And 95% monks and Barbs. No wonder since people in general like easy things and wins. Also it shows what devs know about balance.

You can also use full sherperd and full summoner on BG, yes our summons get one shot easily but you are still able to kill others too.
No, summon build doesn't do nothing, even if u gain some kills u can't push the idol etc so u are useless
But as far as I know this is not about getting kills. Sometimes I have just 2 or 3 kills but 35 assists.

Just wondering why 4pc Grace (Flagellants)? Do you have sources of continual dmg in your build apart from seeping bile? Maybe I missed something
Since I tested skulls, beeding spikes, ignite from shield etc its all continual damage. But mostly becouse of second set bonus.

You said Baron increases the duration of DOT, however, i tested it now and it doesn't seem like it. Can you confirm this? Maybe it's been fixed.

There is just not enough people with similar paragon to match up. Play pve till you get something closer to server lvl.
