    I was thinking about your front door with all the bits of wood missing. You could take the door and make a frame around it ,then make epoxy either clear or a bit of color. You would have a unique door with light and a strong door. 😊

    Thanks so much for sharing la fiesta and your trip about town. I love the Spanish culture and it’s amazing to see the traditions carrying on, you rarely see anything like that in old Blighty sadly. We’ve just booked to go to Mallorca next summer, our first holiday abroad in ten years, can’t bloody wait ha ha!..I remember the days when we used to come to Spain three times a year sigh..anyhow, really enjoyed that, thanks again for taking us along!

    Hi Sharon and Andy love the door, it will be magnificent when you oil it. Noticed you were having problems with the masking tape falling off. We had the same problem when we were masking our beams. My neighbour recommended using frog tape and it is so much better, it seals tighter, stays put and you can get aclean line. Many varieties for different surfaces, if it's available in Spain definitely worth checking out. ❤

      No, not at all. They do repairs on it so it doesn't fall down but that's about it. They use it to cook in the winter when they are working outside. It's totally original and stuck in a time warp :)

      You probably missed the video where Sharon explained the they rehomed the dogs. It was hard to keep them there, especially when it got so hot. And, I think, two puppies were cute until they became two really large dogs. Anyway, they're rehomed and happy.

    Do you have a videos about electrics and changing plug sockets etc? Is there some where you’ve been looking to know “code” regs or anything like that?

    • @FincaLife
      @FincaLife  Год назад +1

      Hi guys. We tend not to do videos on electrics as the consequences of someone misunderstanding and doing something wrong can be dangerous - if not fatal! 'Code' regs are pretty similar in a lot of European countries - I have done full electrical installations in the UK, France and Spain and all have passed. There are rules in Spain about certain appliances having their own circuit but whether these apply to domestic dwellings or rental properties, I'm not certain. If you're just changing sockets, assuming the electrical installation is good, it's simply a case of swapping the socket using the existing wiring. Of you want to drop me an email with more details I'm happy to advise fincalifespain at gmail.com. The main things to consider for a new installation are correct size and routing of cabling, potential circuit loads and protection devices and a good earth - the caveat is, if in any doubt seek advice from a qualified electrician as mentioned above, incorrect electrical installations are dangerous.

    • @SmithsdaleFarm
      @SmithsdaleFarm Год назад

      @@FincaLife hey, thanks for the quick reply! ah that makes sense not to go into to too much detail. Yeah I might send you an email, to give a quick opinion. A older guy has apparently recently redone the wiring but I’m suspicious about it. He also re-used the old style plugs that look like bathroom shaver plugs. Standard EU plugs don’t go all the way in and stick half out the wall when live 😳

    • @FincaLife
      @FincaLife  Год назад

      @@SmithsdaleFarm ouch, sounds a bit iffy... be careful with those sockets - sometimes they have a very low amp rating. Standard sockets are usually rated for 16A. You should be able to change them if you're happy with the wiring. Check the consumer unit / electric supply box. It should have modern double pole breakers that break both the positive and the negative (i.e. two wires which should be brown and blue, going in the top and out of the bottom of each breaker) Also check you have an RCD fitted (A twin pole breaker with a 'test' button) Press the 'test' button, it should trip the power.
