  • Ego 56V ST2100 Snow Blower review. I recently purchased the Ego 56V snow blower with the 5.0Ah batteries. This is my initial thoughts on this snowblower on how it performs, battery life and comparisons to my Toro CCR Powerlite single stage snowblower and the Ariens two stage snowblower. This was tested in a few inches of snow but I also had some spots in the road where we had 5 inches of packed snow.
Here is a link to my other video where I test out the Ego Snow Blower against 15 inches of snow. • Ego 56V Snow Blower vs...

I have heard people complain about the scraper wearing out quick. I have one of these, and I am careful to push the snow blower parallel to the ground you are clearing. I do not lift my wheels off the ground like you were doing a few times.
I have used my blower several times. Most times I get about an hour off usage with two 5 ah batteries. I just used it yesterday to clear about 6" of wet heavy snow. I did not keep track of my run time, but it was definitely shorter as I expected it to be. I had plenty of charge to do my 20' X 30' driveway, 15' X 120' of alley behind my house (including where the plow left snow), and about 100' of sidewalk. The other times I used it (drier snow) I was also able to do about two more driveways of similar size on a single charge.

I just bought this machine and I have been very disappointed in how far it throws snow. Granted, the only time using it the snow fall I got was only about 2 to 3 inches deep, but my machine didn't seem to throw snow as far as yours was in the video. I also was trying to remove snow where it had been driven on and that's where I struggled the most, in fresh snow where it was deeper it seemed to perform a little better. I have just been trying to figure out if I am doing something wrong and why mine wouldn't be throwing snow very far.

The type of snow will definitely impact the throw distance. We just had a heavy wet 8 inches earlier this month and the EGO and my neighbor’s two stage Ariens were both struggling to throw it very far. The packed down by tire snow won’t get cleared to the pavement like you can with a single stage paddle snowblower. I’ve gone over those packed down spots a few times sometimes to try and clear out as best as I can but it is definitely not something the EGO excels at. Overall I’m still satisfied with the EGO performance but like every snowblower it has its pros and cons. Thanks for watching and commenting.
