The people asking if being able to bath while traveling is worth it probably don't have the best hygiene. Being able to shower in the comfort of your own space whenever you want and not have to pay and/or risk an infection will always be worth it. I understand how privileged I am to have a safe secluded shower that always has hot water at my disposal, but even last year when I was homeless at 18 showering was non negotiable and always worth it.
In this case, the alternative would be an outdoor shower rather than not showering at all. Showers are nice, but take up a lot of room in a van, so it is a personal design decision.
Why is that a privilege? Everyone has access to a warm shower haha , they chose to travel. I have a beautiful home but I also spend a couple months backpacking each year

I would not live in a van without a shower, period. I'm one of those people who sweats just thinking about exertion and basically never go a day without a shower, and sometimes twice a day if it's especially muggy or I had a long day working up a nice sweat. The main issues are of course how much valuable space it takes up, how much water it uses, heating that water, and the potential for mold and mildew. Makes building and maintaining a van that much more complicated and expensive. I've been toying with this idea of a convertible shower to save on space. Not the kind that you put together and tear down, but a fixed, built-in shower that when it's not in use is taken up with some sort of storage unit or closet that either rolls or swings in and out into the open space of a van, and also doubles as the toilet. If your boondoggle, the shower reduces your stay by 3 days for every shower. Use alternative cleansing methods. Water has the highest priority for drinking, dishes. Flushing then cleaning.
Once, being around 20 yo, I had two weeks in wild camping. The tent was by the sea in an island, there was no fresh water, so I needed to carry it in two 15 L jerrycans, for cooking and whatsoever. It was so arduous the long job of going to mainland by ferry and carrying the water for more than one km, that its use for hygiene was severely restricted. If one could wash the hair, rinsing included, with two liters, it was ok, once a week. It was a fabulous time, but when, completely exhausted and quite dark, I put myself under the shower for half an hour, I changed colour. We can improvise almost everything, even a shower. We just need fresh water, what is not always very accessible... Ah, and soap.
A shower is always worth it. To have that ability to clean yourself properly whenever you may need to is essential. I'm not interested in going to a gym, or a truck stop etc when I could just have it there in my vehicle. Absolutely a must. To each their own though. You do you, I'll do me.
I would say building your shower was absolutely worth it. I can’t imagine not bathing everyday, sometimes three times a days Just considering how I feel. But looks like your trip was amazing!

One way to help your van not get stuck in the sand is to air down the tires to about 15 psi just make sure that you don't go below that PSI rating otherwise your tires will be beat from the rim and you will have to contact the tow truck to get them back on hope this helps 👍🏿
I shower every day even if I didn’t do work out, can’t stand going to bed not having a shower
If your boondoggle, the shower reduces your stay by 3 days for every shower. Use alternative cleansing methods. Water has the highest priority for drinking, dishes. Flushing then cleaning.
As a guy, definitely worth it when you have a nice young lady with you like this who takes care of herself.
Shes lucky to have the guy as her boyfriend
They both don’t shower everyday that’s not taking care of yourself
They didn't wash their asses half the week. That's crazy!!!
Lady is there for the fun while the guy does all the dirty jobs😂
Please spill the van. I think she's a beautiful van ❤❤
Always worth it but a collapsible outdoor shower is as good
Wow your van interior is giving luxury yacht vibes love it 😍
Beautiful kitty.
It stinks though
Too skinny
I would give that kitty a good wash and then cuddle with it.
Traction boards for off-roading 4X4's may help recover your van from being stuck. There are small ones made for cars too if anyone is interested.
We have them and used them!
@@scarletandseth Oh. Okay. I did not know you did. This was the first video I have seen of yours. Glad you have them.
A shower is always worth it. To have that ability to clean yourself properly whenever you may need to is essential. I'm not interested in going to a gym, or a truck stop etc when I could just have it there in my vehicle. Absolutely a must. To each their own though. You do you, I'll do me.
reminds me of "birdbaths". i had an ex rig a public restroom sink and got a bucket full of water for me to bathe. good times haha
I like how modern the interior is. Sleek design. Good neutral colors. Good stuff
I would say building your shower was absolutely worth it. I can’t imagine not bathing everyday, sometimes three times a days Just considering how I feel. But looks like your trip was amazing!

I don't care how needy my cat is. There is no way I'm picking them up without a shirt on.
It's always worth it to feel clean and fresh after any sweaty day
in Malaysia you need atleast shower 3 time a day 😅 40°C 100% humidity
Hey dude, don’t ask it is worthy or not, you got the best wife. Why complaint!
I’m just curious how big the water tank is and how often it needs filling😅
Do you play Xbox
Being able to shower is an underated flex
Most definitely! Shower is worth the expense.
Just having the option to shower or rinse off is a good enough reason to have it. You never know and traveling it's important ( to me at least ) to have those home style amenities.
Y’all had me until you said you don’t shower daily🤦🏽
Bruh it's a van 4times is hella good
@@jahalloichbindercoolejunge4113 if you mr a dirty mf… we prefer showers this way
You dont need to shower everyday
You seriously don’t need to shower every day!
You must be one of them pretty boy city folk?!?
@@kody3377bro she worked out in the sun and said baby wipes will be fine
where you get all the water?
Petrol stations or campsites have hoses
Warm wet paper towel for body wash with couple cups water for hair every day but a real shower is priceless
In Southeast Asia, i shower 3 times a day, rain or shine.
please be safe, i’m from mexico and i know that nowhere is a safe place right now so please take your precautions🤍
Thank u for keepin it real right now. I am in AZ and many of my friends are frm there and they all say the same. Glad you pointed tht out cause you have some ppl that just think it's in sinaloa, Sonora, or TJ and im like nsh the whole place is dangerous. I just saw a story a few weeks ago of a known and normal ssfe zone for tourist was shot up.
Seth finna be in a hole and the cartel gonna be taking turns on her til her eyes bleed
Lol, North of Mexico Is safe, the only dangerous place in the north Is Tamaulipas below to Texas, she Is in baja California, below to California and so many American citizens live there, even Sinaloa Is safe, im from Culiacán so many people over the world come to Mazatlán for the solar eclipse this year.
Outside showers are where it's at.
You need a heated outdoor shower. Use a hanging hula-hoop and a shower curtain for privacy if you're shy.
I mean, it’s not really about being “shy” in most places around the U.S. it’s illegal to be nude in public no matter what the reason. 🤷🏽♀️
They are discovering that shower is necessary 😅😂😂😂
Wow!!!! Initially i think was a caravan not a Van modificated 😮!Really nice job
If you cave a camper van a shower is a no brainer, You could even plumb an outdoor one with a pull around curtain to save space inside but an inside one would be more convenient in cold weather places
And more convenient then exposing your genitals to the family parked next to you
I lived on a boat without a shower for two years and its rough without a it. Now I'm planning to build a van and I'll definately have a shower. Its one of the most important features for me.
You didn't shower for two years😐
For those of us on the other side of the RUclips screen, yes, you needed a shower.
I can't emphasize enough. You need to shower
It's a beautiful van layout. Shower looks great. It was worth it.
Seth is a lucky dude. Beautiful girl, van life, and tropical environment. Oh, and showers lol. That's living. The whole work my life away for the cooperation is bogus 😁

Who asked such silly questions I would always love a shower in my van and before a wanderer they are very intelligent people who had made plenty of campervans so they know what they need😌
A shower is a blessing🎉 and very convenient in your mobile home❤
Nice van build and yes having that shower priceless
“Did she win, Dad?”
“We all won, son.

Won what?! Old fishy smelly thingy? Ohh I don’t wanna it atleast shower first 😂
Worth it! How much water did you use? Did you need to refill?
I use a half gallon of water to shower ...
@@traveliowa301 That's great! Between two people and general water use, I'm sure they have a big tank.
@@traveliowa301 So less than 2 liters of water. Wow. You must have very short showers.
@@kyungshim6483in a van, you must conserve water
@@kyungshim6483 Makes you wonder if all the sweat and stench really comes off. The armpits, the crotch, the *ss crack 🤢🤢. You're not pulling off any sort of fancy maneuvers in 30°C weather.
Where is exactly is this in Mexico? Looks like a pretty chill spot
It’s definitely Baja and most of the clips look like they’re on the sea of Cortes side. The first 3 days look like the San Felipe to Bahia de Los Angeles stretch of the coast. The 4th clip looks like it is the seems like it’s a beach on the pacific side. These are just guesses tho
Just go by a truck stop and for a couple bucks, you both can get a good hot shower. The bird bath works for like 1 day, but the body needs better care than that.
That looks enormous with this camera. Believe me its like the Smurfs in real life. Lol
Definitely great to have the availability, whether you use it every day or not. Nice build!
Man the entire place looks so cozy. Youre making me jealous here 😂
That was probably the idea. 😉
Good for content but you would not want to live in a van 24/7, in a confined space like that.
This is social media at it finest making things look better than they actually are.
@@TheComment2011we’ve lived in a van for almost 6 years now and love it.
Love that you take your cat with you
Showering 4 out of 7 days in Mexico at a beach is insane. I just left Antigua, my wife n I were showering 2-4x a day depending on activities. To shower or not is NEVER a question
You guys have such a sick life. My goal this year is to get a trailer and start seeing more
