We are all born sinners, fallen from God’s Grace. We are all dead in our trespasses. Alienated and enemies of God . The only way we can be reconciled to God and become adopted in God’s family is to become Born again. When Jesus healed or forgave someone , He always told them to go and sin no more. God is holy and He will not allow us to continue to live in sin. Jesus said if you want to be my disciple , you pick up your cross, die to self and follow Me. We dont follow our hearts because our hearts is the most deceitful thing of all. Instead we should follow God in His holiness and righteousness. God does not make an Ally with the sins He crushes. That is blasphemy when someone uses God to choose to live in sin. Jesus died on the cross for our sins to free us from the bondage of sin. Our modern culture has created a god that can be manipulated , a god that is wishy washy about anything and that god is self. That’s the bottom line.
These two compliments each other. I respect our individuality and decisions. Whatever floats their boat. Glad you found your happiness. Kudos to you both
