And a cover of Bruce Springsteen's Baby We Were Born to Run which, in my opinion is much better than Springsteen's original. They were a great band. Love them. This was released not long before Xmas, so the record company came up with this video, aiming for the Xmas number 1, usually the biggest selling single of the year. I worked! This was their third huge number 1, out of 3 singles released! If you haven't done' Two Tribes', their second single, you should give it a listen. The big thing with Frankie is that they were openly, in your face, gay. It may not seem like a big thing nowadays but it was a HUGE thing back then. It wasn't thought possible for people to be so openly gay and still be massively successful in the mainstream. Frankie, Culture Club and Bronski Beat, helped change that perception. :)

A big hit at Christmas didn't stand a chance against the biggest selling record of all time. FGTH were a diverse band Relax was a way to get noticed and ZTT the promotor did a great job. In fighting led to the demise of the band but l can still see the dance floor at Heaven bouncing along to them.

I love Holly Johnson's voice on this track. The moment towards the end where he sings "a sky-scraping dove" is particularly wonderful.
