I actually don't trust bluetooth earbuds on some various reasons, but now it actually help a lot while on Google meet whenever you need to go up and do something you just can leave your phone and still hear them talk, that's why I am deciding to buy one who's affordable for students. Thanks for this thorough review! Been looking for more affordable wireless earbud options for taking calls and came across this Baseus WM01. Based on customer reviews in the e-commerce app I purchased it from, the WM01 had better reviews for its mic compared to other models within the same price range. I just got mine today after work and audio seems good but would like to test it out on a Zoom call soon. Your review made me feel like I had made a smart purchase haha I hope I don't regret this later.
It is ok for editing video and watching videos. But if you need clarity on sound when you edit videos… i will still recommend you to go for monitoring headphones

Hello! Some apps don’t work with earbuds mic… While some apps….. you need to manually select the earbuds mic Try to see if you can select earbuds mic in the settings

For the earbuds, When it is at Low-batt, u will start to experience intermittent connection The red LED light will flash once every 5 seconds For the casing, the red LED light will pulse for a few times if it is low battery. For charging, it takes around 1 hr to charge the earbuds. For the case, it takes around 1.5 hrs.

I don’t think there is an option to reduce echo for whatsapp But I know there are additional options under “Audio/Mic” for Zoom to reduce background noise and echo.

Ahhhhh… Flashing red or pulsing red on the case usually means the case is low battery. Flashing white when you plug in the USB-c cable usually means charging Solid white on the case means fully charged Solid red on the earbuds in case means charging Flashing red on the earbuds when they take them out from the case usually means pairing mode

hello! i've used my wm01 only for a few days but i'm already having a problem with it. my earbuds won't charge. when i put it on the case it would only show the red light for a few seconds then turn off (my charging case is full). but when i tried to plug the charging case with the buds inside, i can see that it charges. i tried to reset it and cleaned it with cotton and a little bit of alcohol thinking it's just because of dirt but it's still like that.
It depends on the laptops… newer laptops will allow you to select from the “Sound” or “Volume” icon on the bottom right of the task bar… For older laptops… you will need to go into Control Panel >>> Sound >>> Microphone and manually select WM01 to be the microphone input source
I see. Probably it could be the Bluetooth hardware in your Laptop. Try to update the Bluetooth hardware in your laptop to the latest firmware and try again… So far, I have no issues using the WM01 mic with my M1 Macbook Air and my Lenovo Legion 5 Windows laptop for Zoom, Skype and MS team

You can 😊 Just press the multi-touch area pn both earbuds and hold it for 10seconds. This will power down the earbuds. To power on, press and hold for 3 seconds.

Yes. The case LED light will lit up and the earbuds too. If its not showing… try to use other power adapter or another charging cable to test. Or charge using a laptop USB port. If still cannot, then contact the seller for a replacement

When you put the earbuds back into the case, the earbuds will power off. When you take the earbuds out from the case, they will power on automatically. The case itself has a standby time of up to 250hours, when fully charged to 100%

Well…. Based on my own experiments, It depends on the app and the phone On iphone, the voice memo app allow me to record audio using the earbuds mic but that’s not the case when it comes to the default video recording app for iphone When it comes to Android phone… i faced similar issues as well. Some work, some doesn’t… this also apply to 3rd party apps. Some 3rd apps require me to pay extra $$$ to allow me to record using the earbuds mic, while some 3rd apps just don’t work And i believe this has got to do with the phones internal hardware restrictions Which is something beyond my capacity sadly😞
Im sorry the led light of the case or the led light of the buds? And when charging the case how do you know if its fully charged? Mine blinks white led then eventually stays as white led after hours of charging.
LED light on the case. The LED light on my WM01 will stay solid when charging and then it will turn off when 100% charged. Another type is Blinking during charging and then the LED light will stay solid when 100% charged

personally yes. As I feel that music sound muddier on the AirDots S, while on WM01, it is clearer. WM01 battery life of 5 hours is 2 times longer than AirDots S. WM01 mic is better than AirDots S as well.
I loved it but after about less than a month of using it, the battery on the left earbuds is discharging 50% faster than the right one and it’s annoying as hell. Any fix on that?
Try the following… 1) remove the pairing with your phone 2) right after you take out the left earbud, press and hold the touch area of 3 to 5 seconds. This should cause it to reset. Next… try to fully discharge the battery in both earbuds and recharge it again…
If the Case is properly charged up, the LED light will show blinking white LED light when you put the earbuds back into the case. When you are charging the case with the earbuds inside, you should see a White Solid LED light on the case and a Red Solid LED light on both earbuds. If the case is showing Red LED light after you put the earbuds back, it could mean that there is no more battery in the case and require charging. But if you have spent a few hours charging the case and the earbuds but it is STILL showing RED light... then I strongly believe there is an issue with your WM01... It is best to contact the seller and ask for a replacement.
Hi I just got mine today. I tested the mic immediately - the sound is good but I figured out it is just coming from my phone's mic, not thru the earphones. I tried it also on my laptop making sure using this device's mic, and it was really not working well. Can you help me, with this problem? Do you think I missed something?
Hi there!!! What kind of app are you trying to use? So far… i have no issues using the mic for normal phone calls, whatsapp, Zoom and Zalo For laptop… you will have issues if it is an old laptop Try to update the bluetooth firmware for your laptop
@@JonnyZhu When I tried it on my phone, I tested it with my phone's voice recorder, tiktok and messenger call. My laptop is not an old version, and I tried using this with the recorder as well (comparing this with laptop's mic) the earphones' mic is working but the audio is not clear I can't hear my own voice being recorded mostly the background noise and not so clear. I also used this with Ms teams - the sound is unclear as well.
Hmmmmm… Try to update the laptop software and after that, go into the respective software audio setting Some software allow you to do extra audio tweets such as reduce background noise or boost mic voice.
hi @Ruby I just checked. There should not be any issues. But still, as a precautionary measure... Do observe your casing and earbuds for the next 1-2 days. If there is any issues with the battery... Try a few things first 1) Try another USB-C cable 2) Try another charging port or charging brick 3) Do a factory reset if all the above still do not solve the red light issue, contact the seller for a possible replacement
Mine will be a solid white led light when charging The light will go off at 100% The case light will only turn red for like 1 second when i plug in the charging cable and then it will turn to white

Once done, put the earbuds back into the case and close the lid… let it charge for about 10 to 15 seconds Then take out the earbuds from the case and try to reconnect with your phone. It should work. If not, contact the reseller for a replacement
what do you think is better between wm01 and w3 all in all, in terms of music quality and mic? i really like listening to music but i also dont like how different the mic quality for m3 is in a bad way, but maybe its music quality is better? i also listen to music more than i get into calls. what earbud do you think i should get?
When it comes to microphone quality, W3 is surprisingly lower than WM01. In terms of music quality wise between the WM01 and W3… I would say the W3 has slightly better bass So if you are consider about Music quality, go for W3

Well… once you connect the WM01 to your laptop, it depends on the type of software you are using For music, video, youtube, netflix… the laptop will automatically use WM01 only for audio For video conferencing calls such as Skype, Zoom, MS Team etc, you will need to select the audio and mic separately under the “SETTINGS”. This is the same for video streaming and video recording via your laptop.

right earbuds are usually the master earbud while the left is the slave. so your phone connects to right, right connects to left. which is why it drains faster.
last question, you just said that when the charging case is lowbatt the red light will pulse slowly, does the red light will appear once i put back the earbuds to its charging case? When you put your earbuds back into the charging case, the front led light will show a solid light, and then it will pulse for 2-3 seconds. After that, it will return to a solid light. Another 2-3 seconds later, the LED light will go off. If the casing is in low battery while charging up your earbuds, the pulsing light will last a bit longer. And then it will pulse randomly. --------------------------------- besides that, WM01 earbuds can last 5 hours at 70% volume, so it is quite difficult to fully drain the earbuds batteries, unless you wear them the whole day. I was only able to fully drain the charging case battery on the 6th or 7th day XD But I won't really recommend to drain the charging case battery completely until 0%. If you are using WM01 everyday, It is best to charge the case every 4 - 5 days.
Hello! The noise cancellation feature is for Phone calls only. It is supposed to isolate your voice, reduce background noises and amplify your voice… and improve call quality
That is normal, if you charge the earbud individually. But if you charge both earbuds at the same time... The light on both earbuds should light up. But if this is the very first time you are using it, it could be possible :) What I suggest are two things 1) Push the earbuds slightly deeper into the Case. Sometimes the charging pins do not connect automatically to re-charge. When the case is low on battery (between 5 - 10%)… the LED light on the case will pulse very slowly… But it is very difficult to catch the light pulsing. If you use WM01 daily for around 3-4 hours per day, i will encourage you to charge the case once every 5 to 6 days

Yes :) its pretty normal. A solid red means the battery level is ok But if you see a slow pulsing light on the case….. it means the battery case is low and need to recharge

When 100% it will switch off Or 2) the white led light will blink during charging. Once 100% the light will stay on and stop blinking The case LED light for my WM01 set is the first type

Use an old charging brick or the USB-A port from your laptop/PC would be much better If it still shows the same light sequence… try to do a factory reset. Hi! Got my baseus earlier same as yours . May i know, how about call mode via messenger? Mine doesn’t connect when i try to use it when calling via Messenger. Playing music were okay. But connecting to messenger with this baseus it doesn’t connect it turns to audio default of the phone
Did you select the mic and audio in the settings? Some calling apps need to do this selection manually every time you make a call or has an incoming call.
Hmmmmm… for iphone it should automatically switch to WM01 as “default” Did you try any of the following? 1) remove your WM01 BT profile and re pair 2) Reset your WM0 back to factory default 3) update your FB Messenger app
1) via smartphone Whenever you are in a phonecall or Using an app to make phone calls or video calls, make sure you select the WM01 as the audio & Mic Some apps do not automatically switch to the earbuds connected to your smartphone. You need to manually select it. This happens to my iPhone as well. 😅 Still, do take note that if you are using the default video recording app in iPhone, you cannot choose the microphone to be WM01… you can only use the iphone built-in mic. If you want to use the WM01 mic for video recording in iphone, you will need to use a separate app like FiLMiC Pro 2) Via laptop / PC Make sure you manually select WM01 handsfree for “AUDIO” and “MICROPHONE” Oddly, if you choose WM01 STEREO, you will not be able to use the Built-in mic

I was using this Baseus Encok WM01 Wireless Earbuds paired with my Samsung device for my messenger call with my friends but then they told me that can't hear me clearly and they said that I have a weak voice. Ahhhhh… For smartphones, iphones, certain apps you will need to manually select WM01 for the microphone and the Headphone For laptops, mac and PC… it is more troublesome… You will need to go to the Audio menu in the Settings and choose WM01 for Mic and Audio Even if you have done that… some programs still require you to do the Microphone and Audio separately in the Program’s own audio settings

Do you have such issues with your smartphone? Hmmmm… try to identify any of the following 1) Do you have other Bluetooth devices connected to the computer? Such as bluetooth mouse etc. 2) Try to reset your WM01. To perform the reset, take out the earbuds from the case. Immediately, press and hold the touch area for 3 to 5 seconds. It should initiate the factory reset 3) make sure the Bluetooth hardware in your Computer has the latest firmware version. Please check with your computer company on how to update the Bluetooth to the latest firmware version
Hi there, headphones and earphones, including wireless ones, having issues with WhatsApp calls on Android smartphones is a pretty common. It could be caused by different measures ranging from WhatsApp bugs to your phone's software and hardware issue or the headphones you're trying to use. Usually, I will suggest to do one or some of the following: 1) Reboot your smartphone or 2) Re-do the Bluetooth pairing with WM01 or 3) Do a factory reset for WM01 or 4) Check for version updates for WhatsApp (Make sure its the latest version) or 5) Re-install Whatsapp (But make sure you backup everything in your WhatsApp first before you un-install and re-install)

That’s a double Ouch… even though the WM01 are pretty well built but I won’t recommend to drop the earbuds from such a height as the plastic material might start to come apart… Thanks for your encouragement and stay safe!
Congrats!!! Now... Baseus claim the WM01 to last 5 hours at 70% volume level (Pure Music listening) So there is nothing wrong with yours if it loses 10% battery per 30 minutes of music listening... Technically speaking, with 40-50% battery life in your earbuds, it should last you around 2 hours.
As far as I know, bluetooth version do not have much impact on the battery life. The real impact on battery life is actually the audio quality you stream from Spotify or Tidal or Apple Music. The higher the quality, the shorter the battery life. But thankfully, WM01 supports only up to SBC & AAC. It doesn't support other higher quality codec such as LDAC, Lossless etc

Hi there. when you answer an incoming call (Be it normal phone call or Whatsapp or LINE or FB or Skype) did you switch the mic to WM01??? Do take note that sometimes it does not automatically switch to the WM01 mic. You will need to switch manually. Secondly, if you are trying to talk in a super busy environment, like along a highway or next to a train or next to a construction site… or you are next to some booming loud speakers… the noise will cover your voice and your friends cannot hear you I happen to have a mic recording of me trying to talking while an Airforce Fighter Jet plane is flying past. the timecode is 23:35 ruclips.net/video/7odqhv3Db_o/видео.html You can have a listen. you will realise that you cannot hear what I was trying to say, because the Fighter Jet plane was WAY TOO LOUD.
You need to change the mic in the call interface, not in the settings, except for certain apps such as Zoom, Skype, which can be adjusted in the app settings. After you answered an incoming call or make a call (Be it normal phone call or Whatsapp or LINE or FB or Skype), you will see a Microphone icon, press that icon and you should see a drop down list of mics for you to switch... you should see WM01 in the list.
You probably need to update your laptop audio and mic firmware and the Bluetooth firmware If that is done and there is still the same issue. Check the mic setting and see if you can switch to your WM01 Some older laptops do not have the feature to use wireless mic
Did you try to update the firmware and the Bluetooth for your macbook? I read from forums that some older laptops will cause some static noise in the background… so far no possible solutions

I just received the WM01 Plus which I believe is basically the same. The call quality thru the built in mike is not as clear as in your video.
The WM01 plus is the bigger brother of WM01 😊 with an led display and a far bigger battery. I will be testing the WM01 plus soon.

I actually don't trust bluetooth earbuds on some various reasons, but now it actually help a lot while on Google meet whenever you need to go up and do something you just can leave your phone and still hear them talk, that's why I am deciding to buy one who's affordable for students.

For the earbuds, When it is at Low-batt, u will start to experience intermittent connection
The red LED light will flash once every 5 seconds
For the casing, the red LED light will pulse for a few times if it is low battery.
For charging, it takes around 1 hr to charge the earbuds.
For the case, it takes around 1.5 hrs.

Flashing white when you plug in the USB-c cable usually means charging
Solid white on the case means fully charged
Solid red on the earbuds in case means charging

hello! i've used my wm01 only for a few days but i'm already having a problem with it. my earbuds won't charge. when i put it on the case it would only show the red light for a few seconds then turn off (my charging case is full). but when i tried to plug the charging case with the buds inside, i can see that it charges. i tried to reset it and cleaned it with cotton and a little bit of alcohol thinking it's just because of dirt but it's still like that.

It depends on the laptops…
newer laptops will allow you to select from the “Sound” or “Volume” icon on the bottom right of the task bar…
For older laptops… you will need to go into Control Panel >>> Sound >>> Microphone and manually select WM01 to be the microphone input source

Firstly… the mic do not work with all apps and all phones

Well…. Based on my own experiments, It depends on the app and the phone
On iphone, the voice memo app allow me to record audio using the earbuds mic but that’s not the case when it comes to the default video recording app for iphone
When it comes to Android phone… i faced similar issues as well. Some work, some doesn’t… this also apply to 3rd party apps. Some 3rd apps require me to pay extra $$$ to allow me to record using the earbuds mic, while some 3rd apps just don’t work
And i believe this has got to do with the phones internal hardware restrictions

personally yes. As I feel that music sound muddier on the AirDots S, while on WM01, it is clearer.
WM01 battery life of 5 hours is 2 times longer than AirDots S.

I loved it but after about less than a month of using it, the battery on the left earbuds is discharging 50% faster than the right one and it’s annoying as hell. Any fix on that?
Try the following…
1) remove the pairing with your phone
2) right after you take out the left earbud, press and hold the touch area of 3 to 5 seconds. This should cause it to reset.
Next… try to fully discharge the battery in both earbuds and recharge it again…

Do your charging case indicator lights red when putting earbuds into it?
If the Case is properly charged up, the LED light will show blinking white LED light when you put the earbuds back into the case.
When you are charging the case with the earbuds inside, you should see a White Solid LED light on the case and a Red Solid LED light on both earbuds.
If the case is showing Red LED light after you put the earbuds back, it could mean that there is no more battery in the case and require charging.
But if you have spent a few hours charging the case and the earbuds but it is STILL showing RED light... then I strongly believe there is an issue with your WM01...
It is best to contact the seller and ask for a replacement.

So far… i have no issues using the mic for normal phone calls, whatsapp, Zoom and Zalo
For laptop… you will have issues if it is an old laptop
Try to update the bluetooth firmware for your laptop

My laptop is not an old version, and I tried using this with the recorder as well (comparing this with laptop's mic) the earphones' mic is working but the audio is not clear I can't hear my own voice being recorded mostly the background noise and not so clear. I also used this with Ms teams - the sound is unclear as well.

Some software allow you to do extra audio tweets such as reduce background noise or boost mic voice.
Afaik, Some smartphone apps cannot work with earbuds mic.

Try a few things first

2) Try another charging port or charging brick

if all the above still do not solve the red light issue, contact the seller for a possible replacement

When it comes to microphone quality, W3 is surprisingly lower than WM01.
In terms of music quality wise between the WM01 and W3… I would say the W3 has slightly better bass
So if you are consider about Music quality, go for W3

Hello!!! Well… once you connect the WM01 to your laptop, it depends on the type of software you are using
For music, video, youtube, netflix… the laptop will automatically use WM01 only for audio
For video conferencing calls such as Skype, Zoom, MS Team etc, you will need to select the audio and mic separately under the “SETTINGS”. This is the same for video streaming and video recording via your laptop.

right earbuds are usually the master earbud while the left is the slave. so your phone connects to right, right connects to left. which is why it drains faster.

last question, you just said that when the charging case is lowbatt the red light will pulse slowly, does the red light will appear once i put back the earbuds to its charging case? When you put your earbuds back into the charging case, the front led light will show a solid light, and then it will pulse for 2-3 seconds. After that, it will return to a solid light.
Another 2-3 seconds later, the LED light will go off.
If the casing is in low battery while charging up your earbuds, the pulsing light will last a bit longer.
And then it will pulse randomly.

besides that, WM01 earbuds can last 5 hours at 70% volume, so it is quite difficult to fully drain the earbuds batteries, unless you wear them the whole day.
I was only able to fully drain the charging case battery on the 6th or 7th day XD
But I won't really recommend to drain the charging case battery completely until 0%.
If you are using WM01 everyday, It is best to charge the case every 4 - 5 days.

That is normal, if you charge the earbud individually. But if you charge both earbuds at the same time... The light on both earbuds should light up.
But if this is the very first time you are using it, it could be possible :)
What I suggest are two things
1) Push the earbuds slightly deeper into the Case.
Sometimes the charging pins do not connect automatically to re-charge. A slight push should do the trick ^.^
2) otherwise, do the factory reset

But it is very difficult to catch the light pulsing.

If that is the case…
1) try a different cable
2) try a different power charging port
do not use a power brick with High Watt.
Use an old charging brick or the USB-A port from your laptop/PC would be much better
If it still shows the same light sequence… try to do a factory reset.
If it is still the same after a reset, contact the seller for a possible replacement

Hi. Do you actually take one earbud in close proximity to lips when doing comms? My friends find it hard hearing me if i let my both earbuds clipped on my ears.
There’s no need to do that at all. But some apps do have issues with earbuds mic
Hi! Got my baseus earlier same as yours . May i know, how about call mode via messenger? Mine doesn’t connect when i try to use it when calling via Messenger. Playing music were okay. But connecting to messenger with this baseus it doesn’t connect it turns to audio default of the phone
Did you select the mic and audio in the settings? Some calling apps need to do this selection manually every time you make a call or has an incoming call.

Did you try any of the following?
1) remove your WM01 BT profile and re pair
2) Reset your WM0 back to factory default
3) update your FB Messenger app
can i use right earphone for one device then the left on another device? how?
As far as I know Baseus WM01 supports Dual earbuds and Single earbud modes… But they do not support multi-devices

Whenever you are in a phonecall or Using an app to make phone calls or video calls, make sure you select the WM01 as the audio & Mic
Some apps do not automatically switch to the earbuds connected to your smartphone. You need to manually select it.
This happens to my iPhone as well. 😅
Still, do take note that if you are using the default video recording app in iPhone, you cannot choose the microphone to be WM01… you can only use the iphone built-in mic.
If you want to use the WM01 mic for video recording in iphone, you will need to use a separate app like FiLMiC Pro
2) Via laptop / PC
Make sure you manually select WM01 handsfree for “AUDIO” and “MICROPHONE”
Oddly, if you choose WM01 STEREO, you will not be able to use the Built-in mic

Ah! When WM01 is Bluetooth paired with iPhone, it will automatically choose WM01 as the default for music, video, Whatsapp calls, Facetime call, screen record, voice memo
But for other apps such as regular phonecalls, Zoom, Skype, MS TEAM, You need to manually choose WM01 for audio n mic
Do take note that the video recording function within the iphone Camera app will only use iphone built-in mic

Hi, would you know the battery indicator for the charging case? how do I know it is low battery already? And how do I know the earbuds are completely charged? thank you in advance :)
When the earbuds are low-battery, you will start to experience intermittent connection
The red LED light will flash once every 5 seconds
As far as I know, there seems to be no way to know the battery percentage for the charging case.
For the charging case, after you plug in the USB-C cable into the charging port, the solid white LED light will lit up to indicate re-charging. The LED light will switch off when 100% charged
For the earbuds, the solid red LED light will lit up when charging in case

Hi! I was using this Baseus Encok WM01 Wireless Earbuds paired with my Samsung device for my messenger call with my friends but then they told me that can't hear me clearly and they said that I have a weak voice. I tried to almost shout but they can't still hear me loudly. Where seems to be the problem?
Not your fault actually. Some apps are not able to work properly with wireless earbuds built-in mics.

Ahhhhh…
For smartphones, iphones, certain apps you will need to manually select WM01 for the microphone and the Headphone
For laptops, mac and PC… it is more troublesome…
You will need to go to the Audio menu in the Settings and choose WM01 for Mic and Audio
Even if you have done that… some programs still require you to do the Microphone and Audio separately in the Program’s own audio settings
Anyyy tipss?? When I connect it to computer, the sound is like stop then play then stop(every second). I got mine 2 days ago and i dont know what's wrong :(((
Do you have such issues with your smartphone?
Hmmmm… try to identify any of the following
1) Do you have other Bluetooth devices connected to the computer? Such as bluetooth mouse etc.
2) Try to reset your WM01.
To perform the reset, take out the earbuds from the case.
Immediately, press and hold the touch area for 3 to 5 seconds.
It should initiate the factory reset
3) make sure the Bluetooth hardware in your Computer has the latest firmware version. Please check with your computer company on how to update the Bluetooth to the latest firmware version

Hi there, headphones and earphones, including wireless ones, having issues with WhatsApp calls on Android smartphones is a pretty common.
It could be caused by different measures ranging from WhatsApp bugs to your phone's software and hardware issue or the headphones you're trying to use.
Usually, I will suggest to do one or some of the following:
1) Reboot your smartphone or
2) Re-do the Bluetooth pairing with WM01 or
3) Do a factory reset for WM01 or
4) Check for version updates for WhatsApp (Make sure its the latest version) or
5) Re-install Whatsapp (But make sure you backup everything in your WhatsApp first before you un-install and re-install)

hmmmmmm.... there could be a few reasons
1) Not enough battery or
2) it needs a factory reset
If you are connecting to a PC or Laptop, you can try to update the firmware for the Bluetooth and try again.

Hi, I just got my earbuds a while ago and I accidentally dropped the left from a "half body" height twice. Do you think it will have any damages/suffer in the long run? Nice content and thorough reviews.
That’s a double Ouch… even though the WM01 are pretty well built but I won’t recommend to drop the earbuds from such a height as the plastic material might start to come apart…

I just bought the earbuds and is it normal for the earbuds to lose 10% battery after like 30 minutes even though im using below 50%

Now... Baseus claim the WM01 to last 5 hours at 70% volume level (Pure Music listening)
So there is nothing wrong with yours if it loses 10% battery per 30 minutes of music listening...
Technically speaking, with 40-50% battery life in your earbuds, it should last you around 2 hours.
@@JonnyZhu also does the bluetooth version of a phone effect the speed of the battery drain?
As far as I know, bluetooth version do not have much impact on the battery life.
The real impact on battery life is actually the audio quality you stream from Spotify or Tidal or Apple Music. The higher the quality, the shorter the battery life.
But thankfully, WM01 supports only up to SBC & AAC. It doesn't support other higher quality codec such as LDAC, Lossless etc

when you answer an incoming call (Be it normal phone call or Whatsapp or LINE or FB or Skype) did you switch the mic to WM01???
Do take note that sometimes it does not automatically switch to the WM01 mic. You will need to switch manually.
Secondly, if you are trying to talk in a super busy environment, like along a highway or next to a train or next to a construction site… or you are next to some booming loud speakers… the noise will cover your voice and your friends cannot hear you

You can have a listen. you will realise that you cannot hear what I was trying to say, because the Fighter Jet plane was WAY TOO LOUD.

You need to change the mic in the call interface, not in the settings, except for certain apps such as Zoom, Skype, which can be adjusted in the app settings.
After you answered an incoming call or make a call (Be it normal phone call or Whatsapp or LINE or FB or Skype), you will see a Microphone icon, press that icon and you should see a drop down list of mics for you to switch... you should see WM01 in the list.

You probably need to update your laptop audio and mic firmware and the Bluetooth firmware
If that is done and there is still the same issue.
Check the mic setting and see if you can switch to your WM01
Some older laptops do not have the feature to use wireless mic

I read from forums that some older laptops will cause some static noise in the background… so far no possible solutions

If the white light is blinking…. It is normal :) it means that it is charging

In terms of the LED light when it is fully charged... most will stay still.
Mine... oddly... will turn off when fully charged. But... Other than tis, its working perfectly fine ^.^
