***** he did it again during an exhibition match between daigo and wong last november I think... to mark its tenth year anniversary of the friggin miracle to see if he can still pull it off.
The Daigo Parry scene was rated a "B" by the screen... I'm calling bullshit! That act of heroism must be worth at LEAST a "Daigo Fucking Rules" on the screen, whether or not the game was programmed to actually say that.
Damn! too many amazing moments! don't know which is my fav! I think the round against Justin in the SF third strike is one of my top 3. We love you Daigo! ^_^
Came back for the nostalgia..god I love the FGC and Street Fighter 3 and 4..so many memories. SF4 will forever be my favorite game of all time. Oh yeah, fuck you Street Fighter 5
A Google User Well they did close the skill gap more. Execution skill dropped heavily. Everyone's strongest combos could all be done in like 2-3 minutes. That's one thing to note. Also Tokido has been playing at top level for years so of course he'd dominate. But hey, we got people like MenaRD winning Capcom Cup which shows new ppl being drawn in with the easier Street fighter. Anyone could win now, just look at all the new faces we've seen since release.
the first one was the best out of all of the other clips. it started to strong for any others to stand out to me. 1% hp blocks the entire combo on ground THEN jumps into the air BLOCKS THE HIGH KICK AND FINISHES IT LIKE A BOOOOOOOOOOOSS
SoleNero21 it was like back in early 2004 (forgot soo long ago) Justin Wong was like up a set and was about to win the next set but Daigo kept chipping away and his health and then Justin got annoyed and was like "fk this ult time!" and then out of nowhere Daigo just busted the biggest Parry of all time and comes back to win the series!! i know i had it recorded but if u saw other recordings around youtube like this one you know it was EPIC!
The "Yun" character, fight like Long and Shenlong characters from the Bloody Roar Games.. more especifically Bloody Roar 2: Bringer of new age... Excellent video!
Daigo is like Ryu. Both were skyrocketed into fame, when they did something unbelievable. Ryu is the most iconic fighting game character, whilst Daigo is the most iconic fighting game player. They are also both stoic and precise when fighting. They are perfect for one another.
It's putting in two inputs right after eachother, for example on wake up. If you jump in when they wake up and use j.lk and they use backdash your j.lk will miss. If you press c.HK right after the j.lk and the j.lk misses, a sweep will come out, catching their backdash. But if the j.lk hits, the sweep won't come out I hope you understand what I mean =)
machinimamarlon mm I'm a bit late on the response but still...Sabin needs to learn Dhalsim spacing?!? ok man..You are so clueless that you didn't even realized what happened in that clip..Daigo reacted to this and followed on reflex. Didn't you see Sabin's face at the end?:P At least learn to watch SF before commenting
I could be wrong, but what I think happened was, Daigo Shoryuken'd Dhalism's punch, canceled, and used his super. Dhalism was still stunned when it hit him.
Derp, yes he did. Prior to this, most people outside of the Fgc didn't know who Daigo was. I was at my final year of high school, when someone looked up this moment, when it was recently uploaded. Everyone was going crazy over it, and made Daigo the most household name of the Fgc. The only newbie here is you, who cannot spot a justified comparison.
Punishing the opponent Hadoken with a stronger Hadoken, firing through it as it hits... kinda clever. At first I thought it was luck but then he did it again.
It was SSFIV, HP SRK still 2 hits and 1st hit cancelable just like E.Ryu HP SRK. It is not hard to execute at all, add another QCF in and you got super after the SRK
I didn't really notice until watching this video, you really know you play too many fighting games when your main focus is the health bar and the actual fighting is peripheral haha.
I need. I need. I need to fight this guy in street fighter. He is amazing. I've never seen anyone played like that before. Evo moment #37 is indeed fighting game history. Daigo i need to battle you one day. It would be an honor if you granted that wish for me
also the only way the parry chun li's super is to have predicted when the super activated. meaning he had to begin parrying BEFORE chun li activated the super (and the timing is very very hard).
you mean when Poongko was using Ryu? that was a gamestop tournament, and they were playing Street Fighter IV(vanilla) im sure you can find here in youtube
It wasn't a link, it was a chain combo. he just put out cr heavy punch and he buffered the super. if the punch would hit the opponent, the super would come out. if not, then only cr. Heavy punch would come out :)
Assuming that your talking about the last clip against sabin. Ya thats what I'm seeing more of now in ssf4 - counter-hit confirms. Thats all I see now in Japan streams and they are FCKN GODLIKE =)
I truly do love fighting games they requires the strategic thinking of chess while needing the muscle memory of a guitar player to be good at. Unique as hell
You know that scene in Ozark where Navarro blast heavy metal music to torture Marty? I think this audio would be 1000 times more effective. Couldn't endure it for 3 minutes.
i think we saw him with some of his friend when Daigo vs Gamerbee? He was at the bottom of the stage with teamwhiteboy and some of his friends. Im not sure though lol
1 million views! I cannot believe this video I made as a kid on Windows Movie Maker reached 1 million views!
Good work my friend
The Daigo parry really is part of video game history.
***** he did it again during an exhibition match between daigo and wong last november I think... to mark its tenth year anniversary of the friggin miracle to see if he can still pull it off.
none can forget that shit i was like damn this dude is gonna lose then it happened
It singlehandedly brought the whole Fighting game genre to life and have a second chance to arcade games in the internet era. It's that important.
It’s the pinnacle, anyway
i agree with you.
The first scene should have been the last. Always leave the best for last

LETS GO JUSTINNNN
Man, i wish i could have been there.Such a memorable moment.
His reaction time is his strength not to mention he knows the distance of the attacks he imputs so he doesn't miss of whiff with his punishes.
10:24
OH MY GOD DAIGO SMILED
Lol!!!
Rare footage of Daigo actually happy.
What just happen 😂💀
The Daigo Parry scene was rated a "B" by the screen... I'm calling bullshit! That act of heroism must be worth at LEAST a "Daigo Fucking Rules" on the screen, whether or not the game was programmed to actually say that.
B for BEAST!
That's not enough... *_It's never enough!_*
Damn! too many amazing moments! don't know which is my fav! I think the round against Justin in the SF third strike is one of my top 3. We love you Daigo! ^_^
that's probably my favourite moment in fighting game history, it's UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
The first clip is one of those moments i am so glad was caught on film
Nothing will ever beat that Full Parry.
ugh. I never play any fighting game in my life, but even for me the first fight give a goosebump
10:24 Daigo smiles -> commentator: "WHAT JUST HAPPENED!?"
Seeing him parry those attacks gives me chills every time

1.10 - the greatest show of skill in competitive gaming of all time.....
in a grand final btw
1:05 brah. the moment he started dancing back and forth with jwong, he was already expecting the super.
even still, expecting and pulling it off are two completely different things.
VENE YAIR This actually wasn't the grand final, it was the match just before, daigo actually came 2nd this evo. Still amazing though :)
James Woods shows how much you know clown that was for the finals it was tied don't talk anymore.
the first one was the best out of all of the other clips. it started to strong for any others to stand out to me. 1% hp blocks the entire combo on ground THEN jumps into the air BLOCKS THE HIGH KICK AND FINISHES IT LIKE A BOOOOOOOOOOOSS
Man... watch Daigo playing is ALWAYS a show!
Momochi.....Sako......Alex Valle........Justin Wong........Mike Ross.........Tokido..........Ricky Ortiz.....Ryan Hart...................
...Filipino Champ.............Infiltration........TS Sabin................
Daigo is a break Dreams
Sako is a superior player actually
Bons velhos tempos

Daigo the man, the beast, the legend
all i can say im glad i was there for that full parry
+MajesticFaith damn i'm so jealous!

03:55
inhuman reflection
Parrying is probably the single greatest thing they ever put in SF just because it has the potential to create moments like that.
Nearly tears of joy @ the first. Some guys @ the front half way during the parries probably realized something special was about to happen.
God damn that punch to the hands at the end is just mind blowing
no matter how many times i see those blocks still blows my mind.
It's putting in two inputs right after eachother, for example on wake up.
If you jump in when they wake up and use j.lk and they use backdash your j.lk will miss. If you press c.HK right after the j.lk and the j.lk misses, a sweep will come out, catching their backdash. But if the j.lk hits, the sweep won't come out

that first clip is what I show to people new to fighting games and have never heard of daigo. That clip has a 100% jaw drop success rate
Legendary, bro!
Daigo proves to be an insanely brilliant player when he uses anything else other than Ryu. I loved watching him play as Yun.
i want the umehara ryu back :(!!
Big shout out to the commentator who make the hype 100x better...The legendary Nuki
tears running down my face of excitement the infamous video
Never seen him play Yun, that's brutal.
That last clip shows exactly why you need to learn your Dhalsim spacing.
machinimamarlon mm I'm a bit late on the response but still...Sabin needs to learn Dhalsim spacing?!?
ok man..You are so clueless that you didn't even realized what happened in that clip..Daigo reacted to this and followed on reflex. Didn't you see Sabin's face at the end?:P

Nikos A I'm talking about Daigo.
machinimamarlon oh:D
Nikos A dumbass
Andrey Oliveira he's*. Are you sure racism is the right way to show your superiority?
:P
Daily reminder. Daigo is the best SF4 player.
add "ever"
but SF4 Is gay
906gi In that case, Daigo is the best SFIII player.
Toarcade Most third strike players would disagree
Kappa
10:26 the face of pr rog xD
the day daigo bodied you was probably the most important time of your life, but for him it was Tuesday
Fitting that Ken is voiced by DMC3 Dante, and you used that song.
I could be wrong, but what I think happened was, Daigo Shoryuken'd Dhalism's punch, canceled, and used his super. Dhalism was still stunned when it hit him.

+MwieZorro It's rarely "just luck" with The Beast.
Did Ricky Ortiz beat him at 6:00? I heard "KO!" and saw Rufus dive-kicking, but Daigo might have caught him with an uppercut.
KingVasuki daigo always wins
that 3rd strike comeback against chun will forever be the craziest thing i've ever seen...shit was too sick
DUDE ITS THE LEGENDARY EVO MOMENT!!!!!!!! perrying the chun li special to do the special combo
what is that music? that starts at 5:12? have a great beat. could you tell me? :)
hey that's me in the top left corner in the last clip against arturo, i'm wearing the kineda tee haha
There are a lot of great players out there....but Daigo will always be known as the greatest of all time.
Did he cancel fierce Shoryuken into super at 02:02? I didn't even know that's possible, must be pretty fucking difficult to execute o_o
It was SSFIV, HP SRK still 2 hits and 1st hit cancelable just like E.Ryu HP SRK.
It is not hard to execute at all, add another QCF in and you got super after the SRK

I heard Devils Never Cry at the start. That’s how I know I was in for a good time.
6:01 that was sick.
also the only way the parry chun li's super is to have predicted when the super activated. meaning he had to begin parrying BEFORE chun li activated the super (and the timing is very very hard).
DMC Daigo Umehara
Daigo actually had some really good super turbo matches back in the day too.
Nice. Thx Abir.
Was wondering why the evil ryu combo wasnt here then I saw how old the video was lol
It's the battle theme from Albert Odyssey (Gaiden): Legend of Eldean. Never expected to hear that in a Daigo video...
4:56
I kno Mike "Salty" Ross remembers that disappointing one, disrespected n dat last one, das The Beast Umehara son
you mean when Poongko was using Ryu? that was a gamestop tournament, and they were playing Street Fighter IV(vanilla) im sure you can find here in youtube
Song from Devil May Cry 3 - Devils Never Cry 1:07
It seems like this guy is always calm and collective
Beast.
Man Art holding his jaw/mouth at the end of that game always gets me.
he is unstoppable playing as Yun.
If twitter was a thing back then daigo parry would break twitter.
It wasn't a link, it was a chain combo. he just put out cr heavy punch and he buffered the super. if the punch would hit the opponent, the super would come out. if not, then only cr. Heavy punch would come out :)
あの完璧なガードはその前に2回くらってたんやな知らんかった凄すぎる
It doesn't matter how many times you see him fight...
Thank you.
daigo mindread arturo and came back from an almost lost game. what he did is pretty much never ever ever done anywhere. that shit is... next level
Daigo's smile is hype lol
7:35 most satisfying moment ever
when he stomp fchamp.
do you remenber a little game called street fighter alpha? daigo use to main akuma back then, then he switch to ryu becuase he faced alex valle's ryu
For the FGC, these are the greatest moments from a legend, for Daigo himself, they happened on a Sunday

what was so special about that first match??
i dont get what he did to chun lis ultra but it sure got everybody excited :)
someone pls explain

The full parry combo is unmatchable. Greatest ever.
