I love DMZ but they absolutely banked on being a Tarkov clone. Hell, they started development in the height of Tarkov popularity. They were late for the PUBG BR era even with Warzone and they tried to get early with Tarkov, it failed.
They care more about promoting D.E.I. , virtue signaling & creating female pro gamers. Unfortunately, Burocracy kills all good things eventually. All COD needed to do is provide a working anti-cheat, enforce bans on know cheaters and provide quality servers and quality support going forward and they dropped the ball. Literally ruined a money printing I.P. all because they couldn't stay in thier own lane, making games, no political gestures, games. Idiots.
I will be first to admit i am horrible at warzone so DMZ is beautiful for me and its just so much fun still to this day. Do we lose a lot of fights, hell yea, but will we keep playing? Absolutely

How is it for you guys? I’m still a noob in cod games but DMZ was hell of a joy ride back than, is it only PvP for most players in those lobby’s or can you do your missions still? And how is it with cheaters ?
@LeVeLs404 nearly every game I'd play as a solo I'd end up being hunted, generally you'll only run into friendlies if you have a mic, definitely active cheaters. Still fun though.
Yeah all these fast paced zero tactical games are lame but I guess kids get bored otherwise spun out on 70 grams of sugar in their energy drinks and all the game developers doing meth lol. One time I worked as a temp at a software company QA'ing some games and the higher ups were doing exactly that. The head tech was even dealing. Needless to say after a short time many of them got fired. What a shit show.

DMZ is a joke now squads hunting solo players just trying to do raids and missions. Total shit show. I usually have 3 assholes in a copter trying to get me so I carry JOKR with me. Then there's the snipers too. Had three chasing me then when they got close used up around 3-4 UAVs so scared of a solo player LMAO. Stupid pussy squads
@@davidking3139 I think it's because squads are used to playing other maps or lobbies designed for attacking other squads so they bring that into the DMZ. I like playing DMZ (that's all I play) since you have the option of playing solo and against bots and doing mission. I tried playing on a squad and it makes the DMZ far too easy. Unfortunately most of the these squads just ruin it for the solo experience because they find you as easy prey. I usually down 1 or 2 of them but it's always another teammate that shoots me in the back. SO ANNOYING

You are right, there is no game mode that matches DMZ. It's the best mode COD have ever created. But you are wrong about game breaking glitches that won't get fixed, they will, like the UGL glitch.

Yep I started again recently and barely one is on missions - most of the teams I joined are on pvp only… but I do understand, as a solo I’m getting killed very often - even thou I try to sneak around with my stealth vest.

Totally agree. The entire game mechanics can't be found elsewhere. And the inventory system is sufficiently simple to manage. I find the inventory system of the rest of the latest extraction shooters too time consuming and complex. Not fun.
The way i see it is if we keep the player count up maybe, just maybe they will be more towards making a new dmz. Plus i love the game mode. 95% of cod i play is dmz. I could care less about the rest of the game. They could charge separately for dmz and most of us would buy it
I don't see the player count going down. I hardly ever run into the same players. It's always different players from what I see. I rarely see ppl I'm friends with

I met my fiancé playing DMZ I’ve been playing it for a little over a year and a half, love this mode so much, the whole gameplay is like a chew toy for my mind I absolutely love it

DMZ was so fun, part of why I enjoyed MWZ so much I also like that they put the story in DMZ instead of Battle Royale, it makes so much more sense because of how DMZ plays with its contracts One of my favorite things to do was find a high area, usually one of the southern cliffs of Zaya, or the northern cliffs on the edge of the map near the quarry and just scare the shit out of people with the spotter scope and JOKR
@Phixate yeah luckily it was just a tropical storm when it passed over us. We're on our honeymoon. Pretty cool experience though. We're from Seattle and we get wild weather from time to time.
Me and my crew just like the strategy and tactics that you gotta come up with in the fly im when engaging teams. The intensity when you get sandwiched by two squads and of course regaining is fun
DMZ is a great mode. The combat engagement is more dynamic. There's the chance to play tactical and its a great feeling when you overcome the odds. WZ just feels too sweaty to get shot at from every direction. DMZ feels far more satisfying to me personally because we're not chasing for that fortnite win. Our wins are the quality of the PVPVE engagements and how we play to it.
The end is why extraction is so fun. Its so much better than a battle royale style. If you are just working missions/unlocks yah can leave and make that progress but always a potential for a thrilling end, especially when yah cutting it close to the last chopper out of Al Mazrah (etc.).
Honestly what a lot of people are forgetting about it is the fact beta is in the dmz title.I think beta was more for us and how many people dmz would gather.Obviously they haven’t done dmz before so if it did numbers like xdefiant or something they’d scrap it but it definitely has a fan base now.I think they do something with it in the future similar to zombies.
Dmz is simply best. Hope it will never be shut down. It just offer so much to player. Every fight with operators is more personal. But You can also chose to stay away if You can. If someone lack technique, can make up with good strategy. Very exciting to play even after years.

DMZ was pretty interesting and it sucks that Infinity Ward had no interest in doing more with it even after they sunk so much resources into it during development. It was looking to be their 3rd mode, much like how Treyarch's 3rd mode is Zombies. Just such a shame.
I would love them to add side guns unto the helicopters and army Tanks and Cars with Machine guns build into it...This is how the game in my opinion must have its Upgrade
Help!!! I bought a ps4 a year ago only to play DMZ. Everything was fine till they came out with new updates. I’ve tried everything, to reinstalling the game and nothing works! I can’t even install WWii anymore and I haven’t been able to play DMZ since like before summer started! I’m so sad! I miss the game so much!
The only thing I hate about DMZ is the insured weapon in the first slot disappears a lot when loading in then you have to wait for it to cool down even though it isn't your fault
When your primary gun doesn’t spawn in, stow your secondary in your backpack and then reequip it. Then, kill a bot, stow their gun in your backpack, and then equip it. It will be the weapon you loaded into the match every time.
i just go in at present with just a GS.50, flash grenades, throwing knives and no cash, just to pee off the kill squads that come for you straight away. it's great hearing them moan about me having nothing, after i've wiped most of them!
