Excellent! Very helpful, indeed. Thank you very much! I absolutely love my Philips/Norelco Shaver 9500 that I received as a birthday gift (2023) from my lovely daughter and her awesome husband. Feature-packed, brilliant design, build, and function, very high quality, and very smooth, very easy, very close shaves that ordinary conventional blade shavers have never given me. I am 67 years old with relatively sparse, but very thick and coarse whiskers that laugh at the best of blades. Never thought that I would say it, but the outstanding Shaver 9500 has now completely convinced me to never go back to cheap, disposable blade shavers or the expensive ones, either. It is really that good, folks! Bonus: I now know how easy it is to replace my Shaver 9500 blades. Elsewhere on RUclips, there are also great, dead simple instructions for do-it-yourselfers regarding how to sharpen the same Philips/Norelco blades between replacements. Thank you so much, Philips/Norelco and RUclips! You both just absolutely rock! Big time!
Very helpful and clear instructions, never have opened up to clean my husbands shaver. The few videos I looked at before yours were not very good. Thank you
Thank you! Excellent instructions. I was a bit frustrated trying to replace the heads on my husband’s 3000 model (we are fairly new to electric due to his early stage dementia) but your video and instructions saved the day!
Great video. I lost that circular center piece that holds down the miniature drone. Does anyone know if that can be purchased as an accessory? Shame to have to toss a perfectly running shaver for such a small piece.
I would like to know the proper name for the "hold-down clamp" that holds the 3 blades in place. The clamp was damaged and the little hub in the middle, with arrows on it, has disappeared. (This part is referred to in the video only as "this" or "it"). I will need a new clamp and I want to know the proper name so I can identify it when ordering. [Later identified as a "bracket"]
I don't know the official name. I do see parts on Amazon labeled in different ways such as "bracket head base assembly," "blades holder plate," "retaining plate," etc ..
I need some major help. The part that keeps the blades from falling out is broken and even under Norelco Philips site I cannot find the part. I need to buy a new one. Can you tell me where you get a new one? It cannot effectively close and a part of it is coming out all the time. So I can't get the heads to stay in place. The heads are brand new, The razor is exactly 21 months old. But that piece holding it in place is broken.
You may have to buy a new shaver. You could search for your exact model number on eBay to see if repair parts are sold. However, a quick search indicates that just the replacement blades are sold.
Buy blades made by Norelco not knockoffs like these. It says compatible with Phillips. They are not nearly as good as the real ones. I found out the hard way.

this was very helpful!
How do I know when I need to change? How long does it take to change? Thank you.
It depends on usage, your beard, etc. When your shaver no longer cuts as well, or starts pinching/pulling, change the blades.
