NatureHike Cloud Wing 2 (Gold) - A First Look

- Hi everyone. Today we are looking at a new lightweight tent by NatureHike. I purchased the Nature Hike Cloud Wing 2 a few weeks ago and in this episode we will have our first look at it. We'll go through it's facts and figures and I'll give you my first impressions. This is a very different design from NatureHike and something you might want to consider for your next lightweight tent*... especially if you are on a budget.

Great video. The wing 2 is often overlooked. Still a good deal considering what you get for the money. My only observation is that given the materials, 10D outer etc. you'd almost expect the overall weight to be lower. Definitely a 2 seasons + . All the best.
Thanks very much 😊👍🏼 Yes I agree, I thought the tent would have been more popular. Same goes for the Shell2 tent I recently reviewed 🤷🏻♂️ Yep the weight should be a little lower, but still fine for multi day camping. My concern was how thin the materials felt. I actually got the storm flap caught in the zip whilst filming in a storm and tore it 😬 Easily repaired though by and the main tent survived extremely well. All the best, Jono 😊👍🏼🏕️☀️

I bought this and took it for the weekend in the rain... It didnt leak. For colder weather I was looking at the 4 seasons version
That’s great 👍🏼 I’ve taken it out a few times since this video and I’ve never had any leaks either. It’s a great tent, but I agree, it’s not for very cold weather. All the best 😊👍🏼
great tent for me, i got the blue one. lightweight for my bikepacking trip. it is a bit wider inside than a cloud up 2. great review btw, keep it up!

It is ridiculous why they did not offer the tent in a darker colour! Also would be interesting how the the single walled backend performs in rain🤔 prefer to stay with the cloud up 2 - which is still lighter
I agree, a darker colour would be nice. Since this video I have tested the tent in the rain in the video “Wild Camp in the Mountains - Fun, Flies and Thunderstorms”

Hello. The weight is 1.66 kg including the extra floor mat that comes with the tent. You will need this as the floor of the tent is quite thin. I have taken it camping in the mountains since this review and it survived a very heavy thunderstorm. You can see this in the following video.

It did not leak at all during this heavy wind and rain. I do think that on cold wet nights condensation may be an issue at the back of the tent, as in this part it only has a single wall. I’ve seen other people complain about this, but it hasn’t happened to me yet. It is still working and hopefully I’ll be taking it out again in the near future. Overall, I still like the tent and am happy with my purchase. Be warned, it definitely isn’t a 4-season tent. It would be drafty, cold and couldn’t handle the weight of snow. I hope that helps. @@GreeklishOutdoors thanks for your fast reply. have you ever put the tent on a scale? I thing the 1.66kg is the manufacture value. would be nice to see some real weight values from tent and floor mat.
I’ve just put it on my scales now and it weighed 1623 g (1408 g for the tent and 215 g for the mat). Not too far off from the manufacturers quoted value. 😊👍🏼
So there's a difference at the tail compared to the blue one.
A slight difference in size and the material, but I believe the blue version is also a single skin at the tail section. 😊⛺️
Nice model. Anyway, I literally thought it should weigh somewhat below 1.5 kg as this is so-called a compact tent. Probably that's the other model which way more expensive than this one.
Yes it was pretty good and I’ve taken it out a few times now (once in a heavy storm) and it’s been great. A little drafty for winter though. I agree, the other (cordura) model must be a little lighter (and definitely is more expensive). All the best 😊👍🏼🏕️
