As I promised, here it is. I re-created my Shogun Infiltrator for the trilogy after the Origin/EA launcher deleted my saves. I still have some footage of my old save so I included them in the video. :)
It's so funny that you posted this cuz I was JUST Lamenting the fact that Mass Effect doesn't really allow for interesting and creative builds like Dragon Age does, and now you've made one! Incredible.
This is what was great about Andromeda. You weren't class locked and could use any powers and any weapons. What made it more interesting were some of the unique mods on weapons.
ME1 is my favorite in the series, followed by ME2. While I have ran Shotgun infiltrators in ME2 and ME3 MultiPlayer, I have not run one in ME1. You've given some great ideas here, Thank you!
I really like your idea, will try it the next playthrough. As for the me1 - i would like to point out that you can increace damage a bit more by using Scram Rail 7 intead of 10, it give slightly more bonuse to damage, but more heat increace. Also ive been missing out alot by using only shredder or tungsten ammo for maximum possible damage buff. This time i tried explosive and puncing rounds, and its super fun ragdolling enemies across the room, especially after lifting them up with a biotics. Turns fights into a cinematic experience, where enemies floating and flying everywhere helplessly. Its especially cool that mass effect counts gravity on different planets into effect, making possible to throw enemies across whole map at come cases. Often they can survive the fall at insanity, and i have to take mako and go search for them hundreds of meters away.
You have me replaying Dragon Age origins again with your build, and you want to make me do the whole ME trilogy, too?! Looks like fun, so I'll def do it next time
I was just thinking about doing another trilogy run as an Infiltrator and then you go and make this. Looks like it was meant to be. Time to boot up ME1…
That was awesome! Thank you so much for posting the Shotgun Infiltrator, I've been waiting for this one for ages ever since that awesome teaser vid. Looking forward to how you build it in Mass Effect 2 and 3. Really great.
Adept can also shotgun its way through me 1 le. Can hide behind lots of stuff in interiors, without cover button, has Barrier to work like immunity sort of, and its insane crowd control helps relieve pressure, thanks to individual cooldowns
Thanks for this. I have completed 5/6 play thru’s but on normal and have decided to do another but on insanity. I’m torn between this infiltrator build or my favorite play style charge and shotgun. Which was an easier in your opinion ?
Easier? Neither. They are both very tactical and require good timing. However Tactical Cloak never fails like Charge(“Can’t get a lock!!!”). In ME 2 it will always instantly drop aggro and keeps you safe until it expires, so it is much safer than Charge in this regard. Of course you can’t regenerate shields and health while you are under it’s effect so careful with aoe attacks hitting you while you try to get to safety. :)
@@AKisHerceg yea “easier” was wrong choice of a word. Probably should have said “safer” 😂 I’m still finishing up 1 on insanity so just prepping for start of 2. Thanks for reply !
Fyi for everyone, immunity doesn't work on husk aoe attacks also going Renegade gives you the following according to the wiki in me1 25% 10% reduction in weapon powers cooldown. 50% 1 health regen per second 75% Bonus: 5% increase in damage/duration on all weapons and powers
Yup, it doesn’t because Immunity is meant to reduce physical damage, whereas the aoe burst of husks is a purely tech attack. I recommend getting a high tech protection armor like the Predator, if you face them. :)
@@fabiozonatto2554 You need to unlock it by killing 250 enemies with a shotgun(I think 250 is the number of kills you need for the achievement, but it could be 200). Once you do that the shotgun skill will be available for any class as a special skill you can pick when you start a new game.
@@AKisHerceguh, I've just noticed that perhaps I've misunderstood everything here: I need to kill 200/250 enemies with shotgun so I can unlock the passive on a class that doesn't have it? So I'm on my very first run and I've started a new infiltrator on insanity... that means I can't do this build since I haven't unlocked the shotgun passive on a previous run??
@@fabiozonatto2554 The ability to pick an extra training is only available for newly created characters. So yes, if you unlock the achievement, it will be available for the next character you create. The fastest way of doing it is to just start a run with a soldier or vanguard and just kill the enemies at the beginning. Quick-save before you kill them and reload. The achievement is accumulative so it doesn’t matter how you get to the number of kills required. :)

I'm a simple woman, I see "shotgun": I hit "like". All my Shepard no matter the class ends up with a shotgun, it's so much fun
Tali, is this really you?)
Me too
I’m the type of person who likes being up close and personal so shotguns or melee are more my style.

Scram rail x/ scram rail x/ explosive ammunition ❤❤❤
I remember doing this with that "shotgun" pistol and cryo ammo. Great fun!

I'm glad to see you're doing Mass Effect videos too! Thanks for your Bioware content, I really enjoy your work!
this is sooo cool! i never tried this, i had kind of an opposite build i used as my fave, adpet sniper, pull enemies out of cover and snipe from far

A stroke of genius
Shotgun infiltrator is fun. Last time tho I went shotgun sentinel for pure ignorance, tech armor is busted
Seems better, then my build full frontal assault with overcharge and armor piercing pistol

Can we just skip ME1 and create a Shepard with this build on ME2?
You can skip ME1, but the build is quite the bit different in ME2 when it comes to powers. You mainly use Tactical Cloak and ammo powers there.
I can't put point on Shotgun - in fact, there's not even "Shotgun" on my skill list... I'm confused 😅
