Michael Ball has always been my favoutite on stage performer his voice is amazing I love listening to him sing anything but him singing this song with Diana Morrison blows me away every time, Aspects Of Love would have to be the best A/L/W musical and would love to see it made into a movie who knows not act but sing their characters Alex and Jenny.
does anyone know where i can buy a dvd of these andrew lloyd webber videos??? i grew up with the LD but its spoilt:( i cant find one anywhere!! i think its called the premiere collection
GEORGE: I want to be The first man you remember I want to be The last man you forget I want to be The one you always turn to I want to be The one you won't regret May I be first To say you look delightful? May I be first To dance you round the floor? The very first To see your face by moonlight? The very first To walk you to your door? JENNY: Well, young man, I'd be delighted! There is nothing I would rather do! What could be a sweeter memory Than sharing my first dance with you? GEORGE: I want to be The first man you remember... JENNY: The very first To sweep me off my feet GEORGE: I want to be The one you always turn to... JENNY: The first to make My young heart miss a beat GEORGE: Seems the stars are far below us... The moon has never felt this close before... BOTH: Our first dance will be forever... GEORGE: And may it lead to many more! I want to be The first man you remember... JENNY: The very first To sweep me off my feet GEORGE: I want to be The one you always turn to The first to make Your young heart miss a beat JENNY: The very first... BOTH: The very first...
A beautiful song performed by a young, handsome, talented young Michael Ball. He's so charming, and what a smooth dancer. He would definitely be a man to remember.
I love this show--"Aspects of Love" is considered a lesser jewel in the ALW array-but I saw it twice in London when it opened and now I search it out. The vid production was pure British edge, and now a great period piece. The lyric at 2:20 -"seems the stars are far below us, the moon has never felt this close before..." is, I feel, the heart grabber, not the title lyric.
OMG this is awsome! is this from the video he released with an interview and some music videos on it? if it is, do you happen to have the whole thing? i had an old VHS and would love to see it all again!
Do you still have it? Can I buy it? I've been looking for any type of record of that, on any media, foe years... I've seen it on tv long time ago - alas, didn't know it would be my last and didn't record it - but I so love it!
@FlowerThePot Yes it is. :) Bruno choreographed this video... Michael Ball had Bruno on his talkshow last summer and they talked about this video. The interview is probably here on youtube somewhere. :)
Anyone know where there is a copy of the Broadway version with Danielle DuClos and Kevin Colson? Danielle's sister, Deanna, played the younger Jenny quite delightfully. Danielle had a Drama Desk nomination.
That is pure charming, absolutely delightful to listen to with the approach of St Valentine's Day. Fairly similar to Seeing is Believing which is also delightful even though you can hear some of the echoes of Franz Le Har music which he did admit to borrowing.
if you look on youtube you find out how nervous Michael was on the first night with his mom dad sister older brother he has dimps as well and of course the one he will have the first dance to his Cathy of course who else and still together bless him
heh i saw this when i was 5 years old. I was in the front row with my family...some whispers went around thats for sure...then michael ball told me to come back in 10 years and he'd marry me.. ahahahahha
That's Diana Morrison. You're right; she was the original "older" Jenny in London (although, she sang both younger and older Jenny on the cast recording).
This is such a kitschy video...with the vogueing lol! But I love the vocals. Michael's such a doll. Saw him in October. Foxxyyyyyy you should look him up and collect lol!
Love this song as well as the whole play. I felt the music was ALW's best out of all his musical plays.
I am recently hugh fan of Michael Ball. Seeing this music vedeo shooted around late '80 had me realized his lovely smile shines been unchanged!
I love this song. Fabulous!
Love this song you sing it beautifully
Adorable Michael!
First time seeing this...WOW so good. Michael is unbelievable!!
so beautiful melody.
so elegant
the 'vogueing' in this is so chic
Simplemente encantadora canción.

Wonderful!! Thank you for sharing this!! :)
OMG THATS BRUNO FROM DANCING WITH THE STARS!!!!!!!
\
Same here. from Phantom, to Les Mis, to this. He's been my musical theatre idol and someone I've always tried to emulate as far as vocals go.

I like to think that it could be me and my dad. LOVELY

WHY, ITS BRUNO TONIOLI! 1:04
Who is the woman singing?
im not sure.
Diana Morrison she was in the original cast with Micheal
Who is the girl?
First, Jenny's father sings it to her when she comes in in the vintage dress. Then Alex sings it to her.
Which characters sing this in the show? Jenny and ??
I agree. Maybe I could accept it better as a father/daughter dance song if they hadn't used THIS version to promote the song, lol.
sure looks like it but I dunno XD
This show sucked, but the song is adorable :)
A beautiful song performed by a young, handsome, talented young Michael Ball. He's so charming, and what a smooth dancer. He would definitely be a man to remember.
This is why people fall in love with Michael Ball..
I love the music from Aspect of Love. I've always wished that I could have seen this musical, as I so love the music.
I don't know if you are UK based but it is coming to London for a limited time this year from May-Nov. Michael Ball will be playing the Uncle
Lovely song xx

I'm currently reading his memoir, it's so good
Me, too. Honestly, I'd put it in his top 3 best.
This song recalls during younger days
oh and michael ball is awesome as always(:
ALEX SHE’S 15 AND YOU ARE COUSINS!!!!!!!!
I think that's why I prefer this as a father/daughter song, like in the musical--it's cute instead of creepy.
I love this song. Reminds me so much of Audrey Hepburn for some reason. I picture her face every time I hear this.
Micheal Ball =
is that Bruce tonioli dancing with her before Michael takes over ????
so beautiful
@schmeve123. Dreamy, classy, magical. I miss music like this! Am I getting older, or more refined in taste?
