I like how the heater says "do not eat" on it on both packaging layers, implying that that's a thing that has happened.

Same reason why coffee cups have "Caution contents are hot" .... Because you should NEVER under estimate how stupid people can be.

We sort of did back around Xmas. Gundog, Gschultz & Myself did a 'ration relay'. Hopefully one day we'll do a collab in person :-)
I have to say that you are raising a very polite, intelligent, and patient young lady! I'm assuming she is probably around the same age as my son and he would have never sat through this review as patiently as the Boss did. And for that matter he would not have tried half of what was in the ration especially the hot sauce lol. She was the star of this review Kiwi Dude!

It's extremely common in parts of Canada to use a hamburger bun in place of a roll or regular piece of bread with your dinner :)
I don't do it but a lot of restaurants do it in Quebec, so yes it is quite common.
Kerri Blais In fact, I haved tried a couple of those IMPs, and having a single bread or having a hamburger bun is random. I had the same meal twice and ad hamburger bun in one and the bread in the second one
well Quebec, you cant really count that as Canada, at least, the rest of Canada tries not to,lol.
I live on low disability income and will buy a Pkg of hamburger buns instead of a loaf of sliced bread. Eight buns cost .88 cents as opposed to smallest loaf sliced bread for $1.39.
the bun is because there is a hamburger meal and its prob more cost efficient not to make the bread loaf and burger bun, so the just put the bun in all the other meals

The bun is for the left over sauce from the cannelloni as well as the PB&J.
We always keep the peanut butter for later, and eat it by itself. Sometimes we eat the coffee when there is no access to water which is often.

We would eat the coffee crystals dry and take a swig of water when we
were on guard duty on FTX in ( West ) Germany in the US Army in the 70s and 80s. It helped you stay awake.
No we did not have amphetamines in US Army. I believe during combat missions the US Airforce has offered them to pilots on missions of long duration.

I have been watching your videos for a while now. Yesterday I purchase my first two cases of Military MRE's that will arrive soon. I'm so excited.
Every time I see the Baxter's meals in Canadian rations, I always chuckle. Baxter's is only a soup and condiments company here in the UK, so seeing them making the Main component in a ration, makes me chuckle. :)
Maybe so, but I have yet to see Baxter's meals in any ration other than the Canadian. It's even more odd, if you say that you haven't seen Baxter's in Canada. Even more of a chuckle :D .Baxter's make some really nice soups, they have a huge range of them, they are always seen in the supermarkets here, almost as popular as Heinz.
I've seen some Baxter's stuff in Ontario but i can't recall seeing any of their products in QC.Though i suppose they probably produce a lot of things for private label sales.
Jason Boucher I'm sure you could find a can of potato leek soup in a random Walmart. It's not bad at all.

I'm glad you edit out the chewing sounds. That's smart. Some people get an ASMR effect from these vids and bodily sounds would break that vibe.

Glad to see you back, as a Canadian, I'm not aware of any place you can purchase the Baxter's packages off the shelf, but it's a large country anything is possible lol.

Kiwi Dude Started doing my own reviews on mreinfo.com, put up two IMP reviews last week in the International Ration review section . Being Canadian I'm rather biased towards the quality of IMP's. Haha

Not going to lie, that jerky looked like coal when I saw it. Also, I missed these videos!
Whimsy it doesnt look that good, but its surprisingly decent jerky.
its good with the franks hot sauce also
Whimsy the dark colour is soya sauce in the brine mix, I use it when I smoke my Jerky. Some people can take it too far though.

The hamburger bun is your bread, that's all. We used to have a piece of shelf stable bread, thick, bout the size of your hand, but putting the bread into a bun form just makes it more versatile than a hunk 'o bread. The old bread was difficult to slice if you wanted to make a sandwich. And I'd suggest holding it in the package over boiling water or hot coffee to soften it a bit.

I love this Canadian mre, the franks red hot sauce was a welcomed surprise, i always keep a bottle in the fridge :)
p.s. i looked into ebay, far too expensive for now, so i shall live vicariously through you and steve 1989 and gundog4314 haha.
