I grew up in the church as well and so many " church folks " are so comfortable inside those for walls that they are forgetting what God's purpose is for all. A building is only as strong as its foundation. Fantasia is a lady that started in church. She went to American Idol and won but deviated from the path a bit due to her career. God allowed her to go through that surgery to realize that she is what HE made her, voice and all. That brought her back to him, to minister gospel at every one of her engagements. Glory be to God. My dad is a minister and I share similar struggles as she does. I love ministering, however, I grewup in the "traditional ole school church". You see its the "annointing" that destroys and sets free! I will NEVER remove my foundation but we need to learn that we walk among and around many so we can reach many. People at times relates better to someone like themselves. I am a young lady who loves the Lord and is not afriad to be radical for him
She is anointed! People will listen to her quickly! You know why??? Because she has talent and they want to listen to what she has to say! Some people think that all gospel singers sound the same. GOD uses us at certain times and seasons. If this is her season to sing to the world and not in the world then this is her time. When he is ready for her she will come! Part 2...so rather than trying to figure out what Fantasia's calling is, or any other believer whose vocation is in a "secular" industry, we need to be praying that God holds them up and continues to strengthen them to carry out HIS purposes in whatever way HE designed for their lives...just as He is with us. The word of God lets us know that if we dont praise the Lord the rocks will cry out in our place.......The word of God lets us know that he commanded everything that hath breath to praise the Lord God...So whats the problem. We need to stop being so religous, as God is working on Fantasia.

Their are anointed individuals that sing mainstream/secular music. I believe most secular artists have a better relationship with God than most gospel artists. It's about your relationship with Yeshua(Jesus). Not a church building! Fantasia has probably always been a worshipper. Whether she's singing, " Free Yourself" or Total Praise! Remeber, a relationship is what matters and Fantasia definitely has it.
