For me both sides have their fault. The pastor took advantage of people belief to make money and those people who were scammed were not sober enough to realize they are being scammed.

That said, the church members should be able to decipher the lies and scam. For example, what mode of transportation will they need to get to heaven? A car? 🚗Train? 🚆 Boat? 🚣♀ This question alone would have shut down the Pastor. Conclusively, the church members allowed themselves to be scammed. Are you saying these people are dumb for believing the pastor & the church? Yes they are foolish but it is their faith which has led them to believe this. The pastor who is scamming Christians is not a prophet, vessel for God or religion but a vessel for greed.
