I can't believe I didn't recognize any of the locations. Especially the Plaza!
That fact that I live in Watsonville surprise me when I searched up this movie and barely knew that this movie was of course filmed in Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk further away from my small town Watsonville but damn never thought that I lived in a small town where they actually filmed a well known classic 80's movie were filmed back in my hometown :)
The new videogame announcement brought me here lol
Nice video
That’s my hometown state California I was born & raised in Watsonville part Hollywood
The goodwill is on Main Street i love Watsonville
Forgot the santa cruz amusement park other than that. This was amazing
Actually you're wrong about the drug store location. The real building to that place was destroyed by an earthquake in 89, and is now just an empty parking lot. But it was cool that you got to go inside the gazebo, which last someone else checked was closed to being able to go into unfortunately.
The Johnson Drug store was on the bottom floor of the Jefson hotel, which still stands on the corner of Main st and East Lake Ave.
@@maclen1210 I heard otherwise that it was destroyed from an earthquake the year I mentioned. A similar video mentioned this too.
The Jensen Hotel building where that drug store shown in the film is still there. You can find it if you google map the address.
@@maclen1210 But is the actual drug store still standing though? That of which is what I heard otherwise.
Do you mean if the drug store is still in business in that building. No, it’s a clothing store today. But the building was not demolished after the earthquake.
When you panned from left to right of the fictional police station to the plaza, the two story building next door to that, when was that built? I remember an old boys and girls club.
It’s a youth center today, David. It was built just after Taylor’s Hotdogs was moved off that corner in the mid 80’s.

@@maclen1210 I mean the building seems new. If you type in, "Watsonville Gangs (1990)", that's the old youth center I refer to. The one in your video is new because the parking lot was demolished after I left Watsonville in 1992 and at some point an extension and remodeling occur. I'm curious when the new/remodel building was done?
Yeah, it was built in September 1994.
I live hear
The drug store location is completely inaccurate. It’s a parking lot.
The location of Johnson drug store seen in the film is on the corner of Main St and East Lake Ave. It’s the location of the Jensen Hotel and it’s still standing and still in business. The location of Johnson drugs is now a clothing store.
@@maclen1210 I disagree, but I appreciate your info.
@@roccoritchie9419 in one of the deleted scenes In killer Klowns good will lines up with Johnson’s drugs witch is now a clothing store so wrong
@@roccoritchie9419 ruclips.net/video/ElKOnNCqFjs/видео.html there is the video you can see good will and the drug store witch lines up perfectly to today’s clothing store so no it was not the parking lot
@@roccoritchie9419 you can’t argue with video evidence
