Oh my word thank you thank you thank you for someone who caught that. I read other complaints about the music. I think the choice of South African DJ's with South African music was deliberate. Our beats are a bit different especially the speed. Sorry I don't really know the right terminology. So what the complaint was is that it was difficult to dance to the music. And I think it's crazy, because if ur a dancer you ought to be able to dance at different tempos and beats.
Or does house have set rules.
What I do see is that they incorporate a lot of South African dances in their routines.
I'm not an expert. Just someone who loves to watch.
What I see Sekou Heru do during Judge Demos is different than how they danced during these battles.
In South Africa, what I saw Sekou do is actually done to slower beats and that's called Jazz here.
What these guys are doing now is the faster beats of mostly Bujwa or Gqom dancing.
I don't have links but anything by Limpopo Boy or anything with Gqom kings Dala will show how we dance to this beats.
Shame they should have send The twins of Revolution or DJ Switch or Oskido to the competition. But then it would have been to easy.

Oh and the song us Omunye from destruction boys.
If you liked that you might like the Amapiano dance challenge
If ur South African you would know exactly what I mean.
But Shane it really seemed as if some of the dancers got a raw deal with the music

Really ? I thought It was pretty good, you can feel that the dancers are enjoying it as well and that's what matters in the end.

@@Curo91 Thank you sooo much for feeling it. I agree South African house is something else totally.
If you enjoy it search Limpopo Boy or Amapiano challenge or any Gqom style dancing please please. You will then see how we dance to this music
That's why I enjoyed Perla. She had some South African moves

I only liked you comment because you obviously not familiar with the way we dance to this music.
Please search Amapiano challenge or Gqom dancing.
Juste Debout deliberately used those DIs and music to add difficulty to the competition.
It's basically New House if I may call it that.
We have amazing House or Deep House music but everything evolve. The new beats are just a but trickier and faster.
And it really challenged the dancers but that was good.
If you are a dancer please look a little more into S.A. dancing. It's actually quite cool.
The song is Omunye from the Gqom is future album
      Gqom dancing yoooooo man
Please do me a favour as a form of goodwill.
Please search Gqom kings Dala. Dala is a term for Come do your thing and that's how we call each other out to battle in dance.
We say Dala jou ding or Do your thing.
It's a lot of schoolchildren dancing as it's very energetic.
But see the moves and that crazy footwork and you will understand why our music may seem random.
We normally mimic a lot of the animal kingdom in dance
Thus it often look like electrocuted grasshoppers or drunk giraffes trying to stand up.
Even like dancing ostriches or praying mantis'.
I see a lot of our moves used by Laurent if Les Twins. Hes good at it.
So please. Just try to look into it.
Any South African who see what house al over the world is about will agree that they deliberately used that music as a challenge.
We have amazing old school house for that.
But Thats for the older generation.
The new generation change everything. So may be please just try it.
Not the dancing though That you need to practice. Just watch and listen.
