Amazingly good footage, I was at this festival/ gig at the Queens hall & also the one at Finsbury Park, where the idiots s doing fire breathing were a danger to all smoking, Ozrick Tentacle were good too, btw.

I was at the Finsbury Park Acid Daze, right at the front. Seriously great show with fantastic atmosphere. We watched the old Bill raid a pub then went in for the show. I had no idea they filmed the Leeds gig although had heard the audio before.

Great footage. Never for a moment imagined that I would ever get chance to see any video of this. Great Daze and nights at this and the Finsbury Park events. So many great bands. Hawkwind were right at the forefront of the birth of rave music, perhaps without really realising it. Thanx for sharing 👍

They laid the foundations for punk too IMO, while being a space/prog rock band. Not many bands can claim to have influenced multiple genres the way Hawkwind did.

Only 625 views? I was at the Finsbury park show. Scared the hell out of me and I've seen em countless times since. I was 17 too. Saw em 3 weeks ago!

Ar Finsbury park too, my sis was with me as lived in Bethnel Green, Lazer show looks about right, totally awesome, still have the Acid day's poster somewhere even though i now live in canada. Seen a few times before and after, with my teen son too, Black Sword was totally awesome, Reading too with Lemmy, probably one of the few things i actually miss being so far now.

Best band ever. Any more from this show? Or the first acid daze in Finsbury park. I was at them both as a 16 and 17 year old. First time I'd seen lasers and I'm still hooked on them today. Got one of those laser pens whilst in Malaysia. I remember them firing the lasers onto a spinning disco ball in this gig, outstanding effect along with pulsating space rock. Long live captain Brock

Great times. I came up from London with a load of mates for this one.
    Acid & shrooms in abundance....lovely.
I remember we had to hole up on a service station on the return journey, because it was so foggy on the M1 to drive. Had a great party in the car park. :-)

Missed seeing Bob Calvert in Hull this night. He played this gig in the afternoon then travelled to Hull to play at the famous Adelphi Club on the same night. My mates band supported him & got a few things signed for me in my absence. Also missed him playing during the afternoon at this gig as me & my mate spent the full afternoon/early evening in pubs in Leeds before going to the gig. A massive fight erupted near the doors just as we got in & my mate got thrown out as he was stood near it & the stupid security people thought he was involved so he didn't see any of the gig. Got chatting to some people & had some really good smoke. Slept on Leeds train station & went to York the next morning to meet my mate at his brothers where we should have been staying the previous night. Good memories.

Me and me mates all travelled down from co durham, dropped three white lightning hits of acid, by the time we got to leeds we were all so fucking tripped out we could not park the van, every time we turned a street corner it looked like the one we had just turned in , those were the days.

brendan..Yes, it was definitely on the 12th Dec 1987..it was on my 18th birthday..you dont forget that! Came from Nelson, Lancs..Dr and the medics did their crap then introduced Hawkwind..Must admit I was so excited to see Bob and the starfighters that evening..remember Bob knocking the keyboards over..Wasn't the original starfighters of course..except for Paul Rudolph who was playing with the Pink Fairies..was a great day and the last time I saw Calvert who died about 18 mths later.
