Scottish, Irish, and Welsh music are lovely. I sometimes forget just how so lovely is English music. Actually, that's not true: I never forget the loveliness of the music of England.

@ladydetemps Heh, this is the length of a typical Ceilidh Band set! Although admittedly most of thje tunes are slightly faster than this.

Awesome set, ukebert. I especially like your version of Skirmish...The dancers would have to be quite lively!

English reels, eh? We get plenty of Irish and Scottish instrumental music in the folk music scene here in New Zealand, but no English, except perhaps in the Morris scene, and no Welsh. Must keep an eye and an ear out.

Jigs, reels, horn pipes and shanties all just as much English and Welsh as they are Scottish and Irish. A bit of a job has been done on English culture.

@@jasonallen9144 It's annoying to see so many people from North America, Australia or New Zealand - areas massively settled by the English - not know about the musical heritage of this country.

In the US all the traditional music arrived with the 'Scots-Irish'. Apparently.
