Truth is, we didn't actually mean to continue the saga, we just didn't think of a good story ending and time was short. The professor didn't require it to have one, so there's that. We didn't expect this white lie to survive this long 😅

Dunno, maybe home computers became just powerful enough to do 3D modeling and lots of people were excited about it, so a lot of animations popped out. And at the same time RUclips became a thing

Maybe the approximate physics, the camera movements that start and end at certain positions while everything in the middle is interpolated, the use of solid and bright colors (mostly primary) instead of detailed textures, the simple storylines or the obsession of pointing the camera at that single object you were proud to model after hours/days of work, the rough walk cycles, or a mix of all this :)
