I remember I went to perform in a bboy showcase in Toronto which I believe was hosted by the Supernatz and saw you do a judges showcase round. From what Drops and Lethal taught me, the steps looked more circular and closer to my body then I saw your round and was completely blown away. Never in my life, at that moment in time, have I seen so much power in footwork movement. I'll never forget that was the first time I saw you break and this was back in 2010. Amazing stuff Dyzee!
Seriously Dyzee, thank you so much for your deep passion for bboy roots and culture. I used a part of your video for my presentation as a reference for bboy threads and everyone in my class appreciated its value and thought it was so cool. So thank you, for keeping this alive, we will make sure this legacy and your legacy continues.
Love this series man! Now I wonder what other styles you were thinking of covering? Elbow chair style? Clothes tricks style? New Jack style? Planche style? Rollback style? Anyway I am so blessed to have been influenced in real-time in the early 2000s with every style you covered in this awesome series. Back then I just saw it as part of breaking just like the foundation, just as the new foundation that was part of what we needed to know in our era and generation. I started as a mainly foundational and footwork breaker (coffee grinders were my footwork foundation!) so it was natural to learn to whip into power moves with dynamics via the footwork. Then after a few years in Crazy Smooth who I often listened to at the time told me you need to also have power in your footwork and since then I saw that style as yet another important foundation. Ness saying the wide footwork is the OG six step is mind blowing, I just thought of that as a big tweak!
Man that was great to watch, it's nice to discover the background of this stlye since it's defo my favourite. Also, I love that you kinda broke down some of the foundations of power footwork at the end, I need to dust off my footwork and now I know what I gotta practice the most lol.
Maurizio inspiration were Kenny legs and icey ice that's what he said in his solo video check it out. He said he always wanted to make his footwork like a power move
Yo dyzee your videos are always informative and doped watch but this video was really cool... It was cool getting Nesses input.... I'm currently teaching a teenager about Bboy and the whole culture would you say style of footwork is the best way to go even though he wants to know power..
@@grafflixx but you got spin in it that generates inertia and it's commonly used to transition in and out of powermoves so the legs are swinging in a similar power to the four step yo

2:09 this move is also done by Bboy Milhouse
Is it universal or what?
No no No, that is my move since 1996! It's not universal.... Yet
@@DyzeeDiaries ok thanks for the info bro ‼
at 13:09 he talks about that you cant doing this without being flat handed but in the footage he is not doing it that way :P
Atomic footwork doesn't count as a power footwork?
isnt atomic just that you move in circles instead of being just facing forwards?
