Lee Herr, you're spot on with that! All he had to do was take a little bit more of a step to get rid of the quartering angle. An incredible encounter nonetheless, talk about screaming!
What an amazing hunt, action packed and thoroughly enjoyable. What close encounters and thrilling moments. Great elk. Congratulations! Glad you sealed the deal on an amazing bull elk, Taylor.

Thank you for not taking a quartering too shot unlike some other so called "professionals" you showed discipline/self control and maturity as a bow hunter...kudos on your beautiful bull!!
Congratulations Taylor, what an incredible hunt! Those close encounters, especially when that Bull peeked it's head through the tree right at you... that must've been a religious experience! The sounds alone on that hunt sounded like a scene out of Jurassic Park, the bugling/screaming is unreal and the scenery was beautiful. What a hunt and phenomenal video and congratulations again to you and Austin!

Zach Martin, first off thank you for taking the time that you did to watch the episode and we hope that you enjoyed it. Now, to address your comment Austin and Taylor put themselves in some incredibly awesome scenarios over the course of her hunt. As stated many times, it was her first time chasing elk and each second was a learning opportunity. The first encounter, Taylor herself recognized that she wished she would have drawn earlier when the bull was coming in and learned from that. Luckily, that second opportunity presented itself and she drew earlier, holding the bow back for over a minute ultimately choosing not to shoot because of the angle she had and not being comfortable with it. Finally, the up in your face encounter again was a scenario where learning took place. Point is, Taylor made great decisions on being patient and not forcing something when she very easily could have and for that we're proud. Hopefully you were able to enjoy an incredible 2021 season and best of luck to you this spring if you'll be out in the woods! Have a great rest of your weekend Zach and again, thanks for watching this episode of DeerSeason21.
Absolutely amazing hunt!! That is a week in paradise for sure. The footage was great and captured it well. Congrats on a nice bull and welcome to Utah!!

Girl nice job, if you Re going to h unt elk with a bow of less than 60lbs. Use fix blade broadheads .I speak from 70 years experience. And I live with them every day.
Wayne Breedlove, first off thank you for the kind words and for taking the time to leave the advice, it's much appreciated! Hopefully you had a great 2021 season and best of luck if you'll be chasing turkeys this spring. Have a great rest of the weekend!
Awesome yall 🏹💥💨🤙🏻 real close calls with the 🏹 but hey gotta do what you gotta do 🤷🏼♂️ but congrats on your 1st Elk. I've never been Elk hunting. I live in North central NC and we don't have em here just whitetails. So waiting on our gun season to come in this Saturday October 16th. I don't bow hunt anymore but I use to with the compound bow. My older brother does with the crossbow. I Think I'm going to buy me another compound maybe a Bear or Hoyt and start back next year. But congrats again awesome footage kepp em coming yall. Stay safe happy hunting and God Bless👍🏻👌🏻🙌🏻
Jeremy Degard, we’re really excited to hear you enjoyed it! What is your favorite part so far? Thanks for taking the time to watch and have a great day.
Loved her real close up encounters. My favorite part of the whole video was with the elk coming in with his head over that cedar or spruce tree right at her almost touching the bow now that was awesome 👍🏻
Yall have a great day as well and God Bless safe hunting 🙌🏻 and keep the footage coming love yalls channel here on RUclips ok yall bye bye until next time take care 🤙🏻

Have an incredible 4th of July and best of luck as we approach the fall. ruclips.net/video/zXzqjHwZNqU/видео.html
What a great hunt! Congratulations! I’m elk-less in 4 hunts, but I’ve also had a close “in the tree with you “ encounter that I will never forget! I’m wondering if some face paint and better concealment clothes AND hat might have made the difference on the close encounters… A giant bull is worth a few zits cutie!😂🤣😂
Steve Schisler, thank you for taking the time to watch the episode, we really appreciate it! Hopefully elk hunt number 5 will produce a bull for you whenever you get the chance to embark on that journey, best of luck!
I'm not sure what to say Tyler but you and Matthew look a whole lot alike I don't know if you're pretty or if he's handsome or if you're just as pretty as he's handsome you two look just alike good luck sister love you
Awesome hunt! What was her bow poundage, draw length, arrow weight and what broadhead did she use? Curious mind, as an avid female whitetail hunter myself I hope someday to do an archery elk hunt someday.
Cassie Vogelpohl, first off thank you for taking the time to watch the episode, we really appreciate it! Regarding Taylor's setup, her poundage is set to 52 lbs, draw length is set to 26", arrow weight is 415 grains, and the braod head she was shooting is the Rage 2". Hopefully this helps and best of luck to you this fall!
Levi Remole, it was a trip full of lessons learned and incredible action. Thanks for taking the time to watch, for leaving the kind words, and we hope to see you back for the next episode. Have a great day!
AllaroundBryson, you’ll get him next time buddy! All that shaking just tells you that you’re in the right place doing what we all love! Best of luck to you this season, when you get it done you be sure to let us know! Have a great day.
Great bull. Loved when the bull stuck his head in the tree with you. Recommend carrying all your arrows with you when bowhunting. Sometimes you need a follow up shot or a second shot is available and necessary.
Deerslayer1171, first off thank you as always for taking the time to watch the episode, we appreciate it! You make a really good point discussing the quiver comment. She did have it with her right at her foot during those encounters ready to go! Have a great rest of your day and thanks again for the support.
What an awesome hunt TD! The footage was incredible! The disappointment was real in that last close encounter with your bow. I felt that! I was hunting New Mexico around the same time as you. My first elk hunt as well. On day 9 after walking 41 miles I finally had a small 3x3 come in and made my shot. The Rage did not disappoint! The truth is though the whole experience made the hunt. Friends in camp, the miles walked, the ones that got away, the absolutely breathtaking views and the bugling elk in every direction! I hope every hunter gets to experience bow hunting elk at least once in their life. Just like you said, the kill was a small cherry on top of the whole experience! God bless, good luck on whitetail and thanks for sharing!
S Allen, first off let us start by congratulating you on your first elk in New Mexico, that’s awesome! The trip to Utah was incredible and we’re really happy to have gotten to share the experience with you, it’s one that will be talked about for a long time in camp. Here’s to the next hunt, best of luck to you and thanks again for taking the time to watch.
What was your favorite moment from the mountains of Utah?
I'm gonna say when the elk was in the same tree as they were hiding in
Definitely when that bull was “in the tree with ya”! What an insane hunt!
Lee Herr, you're spot on with that! All he had to do was take a little bit more of a step to get rid of the quartering angle. An incredible encounter nonetheless, talk about screaming!
spyder 4351, that was just pure insanity! Can you imagine that large of an animal at that range?
Lucas Reinisch, definitely an unforgettable moment for sure. Heck it felt like all of us were there after that footage!
What an amazing hunt, action packed and thoroughly enjoyable. What close encounters and thrilling moments. Great elk. Congratulations! Glad you sealed the deal on an amazing bull elk, Taylor.
This was absolutely insane. You got more action in a few days than I saw all season last year.
It really was an incredible few days chasing these bulls.
Congratulations again Taylor, that was some of the most incredible elk footage I’ve ever seen.
Incredible footage, a bull elk in the same tree as you and Wade, freaking wow, and thank you for posting on you tube!!!
What an incredible hunt! so many close calls, with bulls everywhere! You showed some great determination in your archery attempts, and showed some great restraint in not taking some questionable shots with your bow. Thanks for being ethical. Congratulations on a great bull, and such a memorable hunt!
Rick Holloway, we couldn't agree with you more and ultimately couldn't be happier for Taylor and Austin! Thanks for taking the time to watch the episode and best of luck this spring!

Have a great rest of the weekend!
hell yes congrats great bull and video
Austin out there guiding cool to see! Hope all is well brotha
He's a beast in those mountains!
@@DruryOutdoors Yeah him and his brother Colten are awesome guys! I played ball with them for a few years.
That's an awesome and exciting hunt!! the guy's cow call is amazing and sounds sexy that's how you make a bull come charging.
Great hunt!
Congrats! That hunt was insane!!
Silver Spoon Outdoors 😉😆
Awesome congreats
Bo Skinner, we really appreciate it sir! Have a great rest of the day and good luck the next time you’re in the woods.
Private property? Most likely, you need to hunt public land for a real challenge and to also hear what most of us hear! Congratulations as well.
Great shooter girl keep it up
Thank you very much Wendell, we greatly appreciate the support and kind words! If you'd like, we just released the first episode of Deer Season 22. Check it out and let us know what you think! Have an incredible 4th of July and best of luck as we approach the fall.

THAT WAS AWESOME!
Great footage!!!
Really nice bull.
I'm not sure what to say Tyler but you and Matthew look a whole lot alike I don't know if you're pretty or if he's handsome or if you're just as pretty as he's handsome you two look just alike good luck sister love you
full frontal shot on elk is deadly within the right range.. be prepared to use it if needed
This was amazing my dream hunt with my bow
Awesome hunt! What was her bow poundage, draw length, arrow weight and what broadhead did she use? Curious mind, as an avid female whitetail hunter myself I hope someday to do an archery elk hunt someday.
Cassie Vogelpohl, first off thank you for taking the time to watch the episode, we really appreciate it! Regarding Taylor's setup, her poundage is set to 52 lbs, draw length is set to 26", arrow weight is 415 grains, and the braod head she was shooting is the Rage 2". Hopefully this helps and best of luck to you this fall!
That was insane y’all got really unlucky in the beginning, it just wouldn’t work out for ya great way to end it though good job Taylor!
Levi Remole, it was a trip full of lessons learned and incredible action. Thanks for taking the time to watch, for leaving the kind words, and we hope to see you back for the next episode. Have a great day!
Some of those big boys got pretty close.
I went deer hunting dis morning and was shaking so bad and the deer walked off.
That was a nice shot but I thought I was tuning into an archery kill too bad you couldn’t stick with it
Was really interested to see how that mechanical would have done on a bill with that low poundage. I would have been nervous
