Amjad Ali Khan Bangash (born 9 October 1945) is an Indian classical sarod player, best known for his clear and fast ekhara taans. Khan was born into a classical musical family and has performed internationally since the 1960s. He was awarded India's second highest civilian honor Padma Vibhushan in 2001.

Because the real in-person experience is worth a lifetime recollection. People pay just to be immersed in the ambience where nothing but music and the best frequencies vibrate all around. It is about the same or more than a trip to a holy shrine or to a place which brings immense peace. In summary, a picture of a flower is not the same as seeing it, smelling it and sensing it in its very presence.😊🙏

Ustad Amjad Ali Khan Bnagash is a great artist .He is among the top milestones of indian classical music . His performance , with Pt Tamnay Bose and Pt Sanjay Sahai is superb in technicalities . But inspite of so much intricate taankari , Malkauns got submerged somewhere.

He played an infinitely superior Malkauns (replete with a consummate Alaap, Jor and Jhaala) at the DoverLane Music Conference 2017. This is, unfortunately, largely fluff stuff from him.

with due respect I want to say that ustad Amzad ali khan is ever and ever the best. but again It is really tough for a tabla player to share stage with Sanju sahai ji.It needs huge perfection and stable practice to go beside him in accompaniment.

I don't know anything in the areas of classical music, but in the past I was transported to another world listening Amjad Ali sahib.In comparison this is a big disappointment . Please donot take us for a ride.

I mean please for heaven's sake do not take us for granted.
Amjad Ali Khan, like Ravi Shankar, gets a lot of press and claps. However, the perfection and beauty one finds in Ali Akbar Khan and Nikhil Banerjee respectively is not there there.
While this is clearly a sub-par performance, you'd have to assess Amjad Ali by his prime before making a sweeping statement. The same applies to Ravi Shankar. And if just perfection is any yardstick, no sarodia comes close to his uncanny 'teenp'. Accuracy is a much debated point among sarodias and Amjad Ali's accuracy is a miracle by itself.
Not going into any debate on musical content. We can all agree to disagree on personal preferences.
