Just wanted to comment on a few things: - The current Blizzard business model feels totally scummy and I won't be supporting them no matter how good the game is. - Really like these videos where your'e highlighting a topic, summarising it and explaining why we should care. - Really really liking the change of scenery, especially being outside. The whole desk/b-roll thing gets a bit boring as a viewer, but this feels more like a conversation. Also the lighting is great.

and this is precisely why i cannot bring myself to play wow/DF. a week after DF launch, i realized something...call it an epiphany moment. i just am not into acti/blizz or any of their ips or products anymore. granted from what i have seen of DF on various streams, it seems like its FINALLY the solid expansion players deserved to have. could it be better? of course. it always could be and i hope it does continue to be better going forward. but in the same breath, its practices like this that show me that blizz is still a very scumbag company and i will just continue to stay away from the company and their ips.

The mount has been confirmed by players can’t dragon ride so those who love dragon riding and hate normal flying is going to put it old world mounts used in ground or outside dragon isles. Or they just never use it because the mount wasn’t reason they pre ordered (although I seen people just buy Diablo 4 to just get the mount and never plan to play to Diablo 4 so Bobby wins either way)

Take it as me hating if ypu want but D4 is dead to me at release. Why? It drops just after Street Fighter, and a few weeks after it's date there's Final Fantasy. If the game was just a "normal" game i'd probably buy it and play a bit as my "off- game" whenever i'm not battling it out in SF and then took a break. But the Battlepass fomo play daily because we need to have your full attention type of the game... why should i buy and miss the rewards anyway? Pointless rant, which could have been avoided had you informed yourself better. The 4-day early access is made meaningless by the season 1 start, which is soon after launch. So, maybe for a week or two those who pay will have 4 days advantage over the rest of us, but then season 1 starts and we're all back to zero. The battle passes are giving away ONLY cosmetics; no game progression or power come from the pass. As for the price increase, if you factor in inflation the D4 price is actually lower than the D3 price. So you're upset that Blizzard is not selling its new games cheaper than it sold their predecessors, which no company in its right mind would do since it would be a marketing disaster.

The standard edition in Canada is $89.99 and with my Provinces sales tax my total was $101.69 CAD just for the standard... and they wonder why people don't buy games like they used to. I mostly stick to buying games on Steam where I use a 3rd party legit site (no stolen key resellers) to get my new games at a 20% discount. At least I save about the cost of tax and a little bit extra.

U'd think most Diablo fans would have seen the writing on the wall when they announced Diablo Immortal, couse i have't played a Blizzard game in 5 years and i don't regret it, especially becouse its only been getting worse and worse. MY recommendation is to NOT buy D4 till at least a few months after launch(if at all), couse i suspect the game won't be complete when it releases, hence them priming the prices so that they can ensnare as many idiots as possible before everyone figures that out.

I was yesterday contemplating to get a battle pass again for overwatch2 or not. I do have this feeling that if I dont get it, I will miss out. But does the game make me happy on a long term to make it worth? NO! The problem is, besides this FOMO, the game has nothing to offer to me to keep playing it. Actually, every day when I try to get 1 or 2 level in my pass, I wish to uninstall it after every game. I will just completely ignore blizzard games from now on, unless they have a single player mode with GOOD story. Further, I will wait until someone that I trust will evaluate them with a good score. - not Asmongold or Nobbel (no harsh feelings, i just personally feel that they are biased, its okay if you feel differently).
I enjoyed your critic. I swore to myself I would wait for the open beta before I decide if I’ll play D4 or not. All the streamers seem super hyped about the game’s current state; for me, it looks like D3 but without the heavy color saturation. As for the different editions, I’m not too happy about the 4-day headstart for deluxe/ultimate editions. I don’t like that practice. I also still remember that D2R, I couldn’t play for 48 hours thanks to the server state on launch, so why pay extra money to watch a server queue, d/c and server rollbacks? I do work a non-standard schedule so god only knows if I’ll be home during those days anyway. To summarize, shady business model decisions and past poor launch performance makes me believe that the standard edition is probably best if you pre-purchase D4, but it’s probably best not to pre-purchase any game in this new-era of rushed games to see what the final product is really like.
Let's be honest with ourselves...anyone who is remotely interested in ARPG's will buy and play Diablo 4. We haven't had a new Diablo game in EIGHT YEARS and the brand power is still strong even after the garbage that was Immortal. at least for a week or more to see how the story / class feel. The hardcore will stick around for endgame content. As Asmon likes to say, you now it..I know it..everyone knows it. So preordering is and always has been incentivized in a way so they can showcase the investors how much money they are going to make initially and, in case they need to delay the game, to have those preorder numbers available as an excuse.

If store in game will be same as one in PoE with cosmetics then i don't have any problems with the store. But then again seeing how they set this all up with prices for the game, pre-order packs, battle pass and collector edition where you don't get the game in it so you need to buy game and then if you would like to have collector edition buy it separately.
Why would anyone pre-order anything. Such a dumb way to handle your money. The "bonuses" for pre-ordering used to just be part of base games and aren't worth your money in the very possible chance the game isn't good.

But it's pretty clear they're going to lean into the seasonal model with the battlepasses, and I'm already over the seasonal PoE/D3 style content cycle. Hope it ends up being fun for whoever decides to jump into it though.
They increased the price so much in my region that the basic version costs what the ultimate version of any blizzard game used to cost. And we still have battle passes and anything else they re throwing as mtx... Cant afford that. Even worse with the fomo items

We haven't had a new Diablo game in EIGHT YEARS and the brand power is still strong even after the garbage that was Immortal. at least for a week or more to see how the story / class feel. The hardcore will stick around for endgame content. As Asmon likes to say, you now it..I know it..everyone knows it.
So preordering is and always has been incentivized in a way so they can showcase the investors how much money they are going to make initially and, in case they need to delay the game, to have those preorder numbers available as an excuse.

I love that you are trying new stuff when it comes to the video format, but seing you walking around is a bit boring and pointless. Im sure you could put in some humor as a hook for the people to watch the intro, nothing to fancy but for example adding more travel time in the same locations we have seen or changing into ridiculous outfit for just one cut.

If store in game will be same as one in PoE with cosmetics then i don't have any problems with the store. But then again seeing how they set this all up with prices for the game, pre-order packs, battle pass and collector edition where you don't get the game in it so you need to buy game and then if you would like to have collector edition buy it separately.
Why would anyone pre-order anything. Such a dumb way to handle your money. The "bonuses" for pre-ordering used to just be part of base games and aren't worth your money in the very possible chance the game isn't good.
Here in Brazil the ultimate version on ps5 is 500 reais, the minimun wage is about 1200. Regional pricing does not exist for PlayStation. Ir blizzard

There no point preordering game for content that you can't get otherwise. The game will just be rereleased later with everything included and there are enough games to play already.
There is no regional price on my country, making impossible to buy day 1, but at the same time im glad that is that expensive, makes dont wanna buy it lmao

You Americans, Canadians and Europians have no idea the burn it feels on the wallet. Here in Aus its $109.95 and $139.95 and $154.95;. These prices are insane for super minimal content increase; with no physical item.
Umm, 109.95 Australian dollars is 72.67 USD, which is less than what Americans pay with sales tax. Work on that arithmetic.

I was kind of interested in D4 when they were trying to spin it as a pseudo MMO. But it's pretty clear they're going to lean into the seasonal model with the battlepasses, and I'm already over the seasonal PoE/D3 style content cycle. Hope it ends up being fun for whoever decides to jump into it though.

They increased the price so much in my region that the basic version costs what the ultimate version of any blizzard game used to cost.

Hey Rurikhan the 4 day early access is only on the normal mode the seasons will start at the same time for everyone so ppl will have a advantage on the non season but season starts same day for everyone
We are not moving the goalpost for the pay 2 win argument. Like any topic there are layers to it. That’d be like calling all bears ‘bears’ and not differentiating them for things like color, eating habits, environments etc. Hence why we must distinguish and articulate the differences. At worst this is pay to progress not pay to win. PvP is equalized so there is no “advantage over another player” as you stating in your own definition.
