- I may be on a Halloween kick, but Tim Holtz's new Distress Mica Stains are just begging to be used on any fun Halloween card and in this video, I'll do just that, and get my hands a little messy!

Not only is it a SPOOK-TACULAR card, it's crazy cool. The texture on your bats was great and just made for spritzing them with the Halloween Mica Sprays which made them POP and come to life. Purple, Lime and Orange, the perfect trifecta of Halloween colors. #Iloveyourcard

Love this video…it led me to try the mica stain sprays and I fell in love with them. Note to self: turn off fan before spraying🤣
When you were dabbing the pallet knife, it reminded me of adding texture to a cake. (SO much easier than trying to get frosting perfectly smooth!) You need to create some Batman themed things to go along with this stencil, but then I guess you run into copyright issues. My grandkids call me Nana, so I have a shirt that says “Nana, Nana, Nana, Nana, Nana, Nana, Nana, Nana, BATMAN! 😂Thanks for another fun video! 😊❤️

This was such a treat, but I have a trick for you :) For teeny tiny letters and diecuts that don't come out completely, sometimes I take tweezers to grip on tight, then a quick burst of my embossing heat tool helps to shake the innards out! These mica stains have such a beautiful sheen!! Look at you with the textured bats... hugs xx

Love the card.... Does the spray adhesive hold together over time? My aunts all "save" my cards I make for them and display them. I want to make sure they don't fall apart in 6 months.....
So far, in all the cards I have made (and I keep many of them for videos etc) none of them fall apart. That spray adhesive is no joke! VERY sticky!

I love this card! Your “trick or treat” looks like neon against the black! I was wondering if the Texture Paste would resist coloring with inks, instead of spray stain? For this card, it didn’t matter what color the paste was, but if you used water-reactive inks, you would see the gray bats. What do you think?

Sad that these mica sprays are " one and gone". I got mine, but I'm sure many didn't. Great card and very do-able.

Love your card!! Question... could you leave your stencil on after applying the texture paste and spray the mica spray on the stencil just to color the bats? Or will that stain/ruin the stencil?

Hi Cathy. LOVE your channel. I have a question unrelated to your Halloween card. I purchased some sequines to use on my cards as you do. I find them FULL of static and wondered if there is a trick. I also am not having any success with the pick up tool. I can pick up but not release. Soooo I can't do the BOOP! Would appreciate any help!! Dawn M.
Dawn, that is such a good question! Sometimes, they are just staticky. I suppose you could toss 'em with a bit of embossing magic powder but then you'd get powder all over them. Have you tried just putting them on a little tray and letting them sit out OR… toss 'em onto a dryer sheet and fold the dryer sheet over them and gently wiggle them all around?
