In the olden days when people died with their mouths open, they used to put a handkerchief under their jaws and tie it on top of thier heads to keep their jaws closed. My grandmother did it when my grandfather died. I was like 14 years old, and all these years later can still see it..grim. Awesome figure man.
....I'm seriously considering getting this figure now. I think I'd (temporarily) glue the door knockers to the plainer sides of the safe for more of a fantasy atmosphere. I've become super impressed with Four Horsemen's offerings lately.
Hey Dave thank u 4 doing this video I had no clue this was out there and was a Insta buy 4 me love Christmas Carol and also the door knockers u could use on ur neca diorama street corner I think be epic
I was so on the fence about getting this guy! Love the presentation and just the idea of Four Horsemen's holiday figures, and kinda wanted him as part of my zombie army, but the price is just a bit much at this time of year. Also... don't kill me, but I've never actually seen or read A Christmas Carol 😆I grew up on The Grinch and Home Alone! Love the harness and chains, there need to be more figures with that many chains! So much presence!
Bro you have to check out The Muppets Christmas Carol, by far the best version of the story in movie form. The figure is great, I don't have Jacob yet but I do have Masque of the Red Death and man it's a beauty. One of my favorites in my collection. Hope you had a great Christmas 🎄🎁
@@micklestapler4 it's funny you say that, because when I was looking up all the different movie adaptations when this figure's pre-orders went up, the ones that caught my eye were Scrooge (1951) and The Muppet Christmas Special! I need to get around to it, but I just suck with finding time to watch movies 😅 And thanks, hope you had a Merry Christmas too 🎄
@@DisplayingModelBehaviour David he spent well over $200 dollars on you, now to be fair that's his choice but we both know that the shipping probably tacked on another $100 at least. A thank you card or something wouldn't have been out of the question. I know I'm coming off as an ass and I'm sorry for that but come on Dave a 15 second thank you for a gift like that is a little lacking. Displaying Model Behavior applies to this situation I think. Again I'm sorry for being an ass but here lately it feels like Alot of send me money and Toys because your Dave from DMB and not the content you put out? I still love ya man , although I'm sure the feeling isnt the same at the moment. These are just my thoughts on it, you will do what you will do.
man. i love scrooged. i just watched the muppets A Christmas Carol for the first time and the jacob marley ghost was very fucken cool. that figure is bad AF. Cant wait to cop one.
This was a great final video for the old style of Japan's Model Behaviour, and it was a really nicely put together review which you might like to showcase, if you're not already doing so, as the channel's introductory video when people click your profile page since it is really professional and well made until we get some of the new stuff. I laughed a lot at the jokes in the video too. I think people in the comments have hopefully explained what to do with all those extra pieces and where they go, I'm really happy about the extra head sculpt because that allows the character to be some totally different character also and expands the value a lot, even though I liked the figure a lot even before knowing about it. I wish they would make it a lot easier to get and more available to everyone, since a lot of people who would've enjoyed this missed out or had to pass on it due to the price, for international buyers especially. I'm not fond of any limited quantity exclusives that end up being more frustrating to obtain and when one has overspent trying to get something it can also make it less fun having it or if any damage occurs to it or whatever and there is a constant tension around anything that a lot was spent on and not wanting it to get damaged which increases all the stress related to the figure, even just looking at it on display and worrying if it will fall or something. I used to purchase (and still purchase) figures like this made in decades past where McFarlane would produce figures of this sort with lots of accessories and chains and things, and it always looks very fun and impressive and I wish that was still the norm for figures, to really try to impress buyers and which make for very interesting and inspiring pieces on display. Compared to toys that just look very basic, figures like these look really amazing and impressive, but when one can get something like this for a relatively low price or for the price of something that looks a lot less cool and fancy, that is when it really feels good. Similarly, if one puts up a figure like this with some older figures or cheaper figures that somehow strike the senses as being visually just as good or nearly as good but where significantly less expensive, I'm much more pleased with the cheaper figures overall. The only Mythic Legions figure I have so far is Kronnaw, but I've been wanting to get hold of one of the human skulls that comes with Krampus which I saw someone put on a G.I. Joe Classified figure. I'd totally want to buy figures that look like this one though, and figures like these would have me much more enthusiastic than a lot of the announcements that have been made for things this last year and for next year so far. Hopefully they will re-release this figure or do some other version that also looks good and is priced alright, giving a lot more people a chance. I don't know why they make things so that only a few can enjoy it when many more could, it seems very Un-Christmas-Like to do that lol, but that is how a lot of companies have been behaving these days. "The current members and co-owners of Four Horsemen studios are Jim Preziosi, Eric Treadway, and H. Eric “Cornboy” Mayse. The three met while employed as figure sculptors at McFarlane Toys. In September 1999, the three left McFarlane to found Four Horsemen Studios along with former partner, Chris Dahlberg, where, in a partnership with Mattel, they created hundreds of figures for Mattel's Masters of the Universe, The Dark Knight, Harry Potter, DC Universe Classics and Man of Steel toy lines, among others."
I want this to go along with my Naughty or Nice Santa and Father Christmas! Dave, I have an idea for the knocker. If you look up Extreme Sets, they have some mansion style sets, and the knocker would look great glued onto the door. I'd have to check which set would work best.
Really cool review! Not something I would have thought about getting a figure for. And creepily, when you die, your jaw muscles wear away so the bow around his head is to keep his mouth shut. At one point he loosens it to scare Scrooge, which is why his mouth opens really far with the animated head sculpt
@@BobsiPringlez The same wearing away happens when David smiles a lot from receiving awesome donations and gifts, so don't freak out if one day David appears on camera with his mouth hanging opened horrifically, just screenshot it and continue to support the channel.
Did he die inside of a box waiting as a surprise present someone forgot to open? You're right though, the story goes that they used to rap the heads like that (if that is what we are talking about) because of wanting to keep the mouth of the corpse closed. Another commenter mentioned it also. I've seen it on living people though, so I wonder if that was for the same reason, or if those were zombies, or people with toothaches or something.
Earthquake in Japan. Hope you're well, and maybe you could discuss if you experienced anything and could show around locally if anything seems to have occurred in your area, but it might have had more of an impact elsewhere. Also, to hear about what is going on in Japan or the Japanese news, even just a little, or how English speakers with only a little knowledge of the language are feeling and dealing with it as far as you are aware, I'd be very interested in hearing all about that. *comment notification appears on your screen, camera pans over to you covered under all your toys after the Earthquake*

If you read the last page of the booklet, there’s a hint that they are going to make the other three ghosts. So maybe a three pack next Christmas?
That fig is beyond sick! And who doesn't like extra head?!! Happy New Year, Dave!
