I find the crossover between ASMR and BDSM really fascinating. About a week ago we had pinwheels, sensory play and sensory deprivation, which are common in the community. As a BDSM blogger who is more into the psychologies than the sex stuff, I find it really intriguing how many people are kinky, highly sensitive/empathic and also experience ASMR. It's also interesting how many people are drawn to medical-type roleplays and say that they would not play nice under such circumstances, myself most certainly included. Casual observations of course, guys 😉
I completely agree. Without going into too much detail, it's a world I definitely try to incorporate elements of into what I make. Logically, sensory manipulation and stimulation are under the same umbrella - as is the usual conflation with with sex. It can all be independent. Wow, that's the most pretentious message I've written in a while, sorry! It's a round about way of saying 'yes' 😅
@@JimASMR oh absolutely. I always try to deviate away from the sex side of things in a sort of "yes but not really" kind of way. Unfortunately such is life that anything remotely "kinky" is almost automatically connected to sex, but dopamine and serotonin are also released from say, a massage, which in my opinion is more like what ASMR and BDSM is. For me and in what I try to implicate and share with my readers, BDSM is and can be more of a kind of twisted therapy, it's all a matter of perception. I've also dabbled with ASMR myself under the name of EnglishTinglesASMR, found that I rambled far too much, and gave up. The Blue Yeti now lies dormant in my bottom drawer 😂
NB. Do note also, cats don't make a fraction of the noise that a Jack Russell Terrier can make. His barks on a sensitive mic could blow out an eardrum 😉
