Congrats to your brother and your sister in law on the new daughter! As long as she's healthy who cares about anything else? I'm sure you and your wife are going to do your duties to spoil her! Take it easy Neil, be healthy and safe.

Great looking fleet of little yellow tools. Perhaps you could paint the same yellow on your truck, either as a overall color or at least one of the stripes. Considering the circular YT channel logo your stripes could be the yellow, green white of the logo. Additionally, custom 3-color decals could be applied to all of your equipment as a company emblem.
Wishing you and your family a blessed autumn season filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings together. Peace brother

    Neil… I like it!
Those carbide nubs are perfect for pulverizing clumps and clods. I can hardly wait to see how they work in dirt and grass.
You didn’t show it but, there is a feature of that design which could real make it superior to a Harley rake. Having the front edge of the blade with you on each pass allows one step leveling. Going forward, you can shave off mounds. Reverse gives you the ability to do my favorite leveling technique… back dragging.
I think that as you get into rougher areas, on future jobs, you’ll find the same.
Congrats on your acquisition. I hope it continues to meet your expectations.

    • @digdrivediy
      @digdrivediy  4 месяца назад +3

Indeed! I have a lot to learn on this thing. I did get to use it a bit in the dirt yesterday and it is a game changer for clumps and clods. I'm really trying to learn and understand how to use it in forward vs reverse.
But what a cool piece of engineering and a great way to have the best of both a power take and a bucket in one!
I'm sure we'll get to see the dirt features on display soon enough!
Thanks as always and have a great week Dave!

It would match the rest of your equipment so well! This may just be a simpletons understanding from life experience…..
A dealer can beat things like that because it’s all about customer service and sales.
A dealers volume means they can get better that MSRP so that they gain the profit margin. The more they sell, the better a deal they can get, the more money they can make.
A good sales person that really cares about customers will extended as much of that deal as possible. A good sales person can also assess when a possible loss on one sale can mean more dollars on future sales.
Take care of your customers, be honest, and give them the best deal possible will always bring customers back and bring in more customers.
I have also found that folks in construction/Ag equipment sales and rentals really understand this (genuine care and quality customer service) far better than anyone else.

I had a John Deere zero turn at first. One of the hydros was going bad. I sold it and bought the Country Clipper from my cousin when he was moving. I paid $2000 for it about 15 years ago and it's never given me a good reason to get rid of it! Kara loves the single joystick now.

Neil I'm very impressed with your new attachment for the skidsteer that's going to be a real time saver on all your grading jobs. From the looks of the driveway you wouldn't really need to use the box grader to finish but it definitely makes it nicer.

I agree. I just used it to smooth out the bumper skid steer tracks but the heavy lifting was done with skiddy.

I figured out that if you make the driveway just wide enough so you can move and drive in different places you don’t have the weeds in the middle. I never have a problem with that in my driveway.

Yep great decision painting it. Initially I thought the green was cool, but there's something about that construction yellow...
